Maria was spectacular, shes very knowledgable about the city. We walked, talked, got some coffee and explored the JORDAAN area. She knows her architecture, the differing neighborhoods and the people who live there. She was such a delight in every way. I look forward to more tours with her in the future. I highly recommend her
Maria was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned soo much about Jordan and tasted local favorites. Would highly recommend !
We wanted to get a tour of Jordaan during a market day so this was a perfect tour for us. Our lovely guide Maria was flexible in adjusting to our family of 4 and also gave us time to explore the market on our own and the opportunity to enjoy some local treats. She was very knowledgeable, accommodating and flexible.
Nice and relaxing tour - we did it as a private option. Maria was flexible and accommodated our request for a meeting spot closer to our hotel. She was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned quite a bit about the Dutch culture in general. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour with Maria if you are in Amsterdam.
Sasha was a great guide who was a wealth of information while making the tour fun and tailored to us and our questions
It was one of more than 10 tours for discovering beautiful Netherlands with Snurk.Travel and professional guide Anastasia Afonina. I would say- somehow the helped me to find a second home: when the Ukrainian war started - I didn’t think too much where to relocate my family as aa”safe harbour” - i was already in love with Netherlands. And although now i live here - i still allocate time for discovering this beautiful country and close neighbourhood with the same agency and same guide , as they earned trust and respect.
We really enjoyed the walking tour of the Jordaan area and learning about its history. I love learning the history of places. Anna was a great guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I enjoyed looking at the different architectural styles. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable of the Jordaan area and gave us good ideas for looking at surrounding shops and cafe's.
We did the tour with Sasha and it was really amazing He took us through different parts of the city, along the canals, and could give many interesting insights, both on new developments in the city, and its rich history. During the tour, we also had time to sit down at a small cafè and enjoy a typical Dutch apple pie. Sasha could answer all of our questions, would offer us different routes, depending on where we wanted to finish the tour, and was just very knowledgeable about the whole city. The tour was also really interactive, less of a presentation and more of just a conversation between us, which we also really enjoyed. We would really recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about Amsterdam in a personal setting.
HI we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Anna. She was punctual and was easy to find at the meeting point. She was well prepared and did extra research to find some places we could stop that really made the walk memorable. I so appreciated her personal touch. She had great communication and was very personable. I would recommend her tours to anyone.
Our tour guide Anna was punctual and easy to find. She was well prepared and very personable. I enjoyed the time with her and would definitley recommend her services to anyone visiting Amsterdam. She had taken the time to look up a couple personal stops for me that involved pottery, glass and antiques which I loved. I want to thank her for making the tour very memorable. Jordaan is an interesting excursion. More new than I had anticipated but she showed us parts we would never had noticed like the little corridors between buildings and a courtyard as well as a great little pub to have coffee and apple pie and then a great local spot to eat lunch which was amazing. I'd highly recommend the traditional pea soup - YUM!!
Anna, my intern guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Her background in architectural studies and urban living brought many fun facts to light as we meandered the streets of the historically less well off area of Jordaan.
We had a great guided tour in Amsterdam. It was well planned, started and finished according to the schedule, providing both historical facts and city gossips. The guide was polite and a great story teller.
It was wonderful walk on Jordaan district, Olga is very positive person, she makes us feel as guests not as tourists in Amsterdam. History, city legends and local stories, coffee in a nice place, local market - time flied during this tour
Very interesting tour and nice guide🤗I like it) learned a lot about the history of Amsterdam and Jordaan!
Although the weather was rainy, we thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with our guide, Oleksandr. He led us to some places in the Jordaan neighborhood that i doubt we would have found on our own - some of the antiques stores, and the Mouse House, for example - and helped us understand how the city grew as well as the history and the geography of the area..
Many thanks to Ekateryna for this tour! After her excursions, I love Holland even more. We plunged into history, learned how the Dutch lived and thought before. Ekaterina is very attentive to all details. It was one of the best excursions in my life. Thanks a lot!!
Yesterday I discovered for myself Jordaan in Amsterdam. Thank you girls and especially Kate for amazing stories about the history of Jordaan and the people from the past who lived there! We we tired but happy and at the end it was a very pleasant bonus - Tea Ceremony at tea culture club Moychay.nl. Thank you very much, hope to meet again to see another interesting places in Netherlands!
It was a third day in Amsterdam after having two wonderful tours (overview and Nord) with Snurk travel, so expectations were high. And they were definitely beaten! Our guide Ekaterina continued our excurse into history of Amsterdam showing how Jordaan and its citizens driven social and cultural innovations which formed the city. Our history adventure was accompanied by tasting pearls of local life - we had cappuccino with apple pie (best I ever had) in Papeneiland, tested oysters and berries in the farmer market, bought mechanical robot souvenirs in fairy toy shop, saw wonderful art, ate cheese cakes - and this is only part of things Ekaterina took us through. This tour was a great ending chord to our trip to Amsterdam and we can't be more thankful to Ekaterina and Snurk travel for the wonderful experience we had!
It was a great walk with a story about the interesting features of Dutch life. Lots of Dutch history, culture and, of course, apple pies ))) On walks with Snurk. Travel is always interesting and unusual. The country and, especially, the people living in it, open up from an unknown side. I really like their tours. I hope to visit them all in due course.
This is not the first time I have been on this tour. Always very interesting and informative. Nasty is a wonderful knowledgeable tour guide. I always learn something new every time. Thanks to the organizers of this project. I look forward to.new interesting excursions.
We had a great day in Amsterdam with Anastasia!!! She showed us many beautiful streets in Joordan area, cafes, and designer shops that we would not find or even notice on our own. While telling about the history of these places. She also answered a lot of our questions and told us about life in Amsterdam, the people, the culture, and the Netherlands in general. 3.5 hours flew by unnoticed because it was very interesting and entertaining. We will definitely contact Snurk.travel again. Thanks a lot to Anastasia and Snurk.travel team!
