Giethoorn Day Trip From Amsterdam With Boat Trip And Snacks

The town is charming and surrounded by canals. It is like a mini Venice in the heart of rural Holland!

Amazing life the people lead without cars. Pace is so slow for city dwellers. Only transport is by canal boat. Regarding hosts most personable and knowledgable. Unfortunately a converted Benz van did not provide a comfortable ride and drivers commentory could not be heard past the second row. Disappointing otherwise a lovely day in the country

I had a great experience with IBA Tours in Amsterdam. The tour was very detailed, funny, and entertaining from start to finish. Ibrahim did an excellent job explaining the history of every city and sight we visited. He made the tour informative, easy to follow, and enjoyable for everyone. The price was great, and the tour guides were very personable. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good experience. Our driver, Jamal, was also very patient and understanding. At one point, one of our family members was running late, and instead of just waiting, they went out of their way to pick them up. That really showed how much they cared about their guests. Overall, the entire experience was pleasant, funny, and memorable. I highly recommend IBA Tours to anyone visiting Amsterdam or looking for a great guided tour with excellent service.

Wow! We had the BEST day! Said, our guide, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. He gave us a great history lesson on the Netherlands and how Giethoorn was first settled. We also stopped at a local fruit and veg store and tasted delicious local food. On the way back we stopped at a tulip field for some photos. Thanks so much Said. It's an excellent way to visit Giethoorn. The tour guides were awesome. They entertained us during the bus ride. They also arranged 2 quick stops, one was an organic fruit farm and the other was a beautiful tulip field. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the minibus was very very cramped. There was hardly any leg room in each seat.

Don’t rent a boat. The canals are clogged with inexperienced boat drivers. Even if you are experienced you will be pushed and blocked by others that are not experienced.

Hands down, the best tour we've had! Or guide Jay got us there all the while providing information on where we were going and what we were passing through to get there. Handed over to our boat captain and had a wonderful, informative hour ride through Giethoorn. This is one to consider if you're only doing one or two destinations.

Ibraham was a very informative tour guide. His knowledge of the local history and culture was exceptional, and it was the perfect time to go. I especially appreciated the stop at the local farm, where we were able to sample local produce. Overall I would recommend.

This is our first visit to Amsterdam. We read that a trip to Giethorn was worthwhile. We debated renting a car or going by public transit. We selected this tour and it was wonderful! Ibrahim was our tour guide and he provided background on not only Giethorn but also on the Netherlands! During our free time, we got lost and he tracked us down via What’s App. Giethorn is a wonderful, romantic excursion.

Giethoorn is a lovely little town and is worth the visit. Our tour guide, Jay, was very knowledgeable and personable. It is unfortunate that we weren’t dropped off where we met and we weren’t told that was going to happen until the tour ended. We were dropped off in an unfamiliar place with no restrooms near us. I was traveling with an 80 year old family member with mobility issues, walking unfamiliar streets trying to find her a bathroom (the one on the bus was not working). I would highly suggest dropping off customers in a place where they have access to restrooms after a 90 minute bus ride. Also asking if they need help getting their bearings to know where they are would have been helpful. I would still recommend the tour and the guide!

The trip was a fantastic experience!!! Jay was a star!!! He made us all laugh and be completely comfortable during the bus ride with facts and tips done with humour. Organized trip. No hiccups. Would def do another one with them.

He was very friendly and the vehicle you take depends on how many people signed up. There was six total in our group a lot smaller than the day before he said. The boat tour is a larger tour boat that I wasn’t looking forward to. But after seeing a few struggling boaters was fine with it! He makes a stop or two along the way depending on if we are making good time and the season. He said during the tulip season he stops there. We stopped at a quaint apple orchard. He explained so many things along the way! And at the end even offered since the group was small to drop each of us at our hotels. Would highly recommend doing this tour even if you get there and want to rent your own small boat! :)

Great trip. The big plus is they give you time to have lunch and walk the quaint town after the boat ride.

The guides are the best of the experience, very knowledgeable and fun. It’s a good tour, but if you are tired and need to take things slowly, maybe is a bit too fast paced. I was late twice, that’s on me, not them, and they were kind and graceful enough to make it work. Still, if you are too tired because you have been traveling to much, maybe plan to stay overnight in Giethoorn, I wish I had done that!

Ibrahim was an absolute star. He made the 1hour 30 min journey feel like a few minutes. He explained some interesting facts along the way. Very instructive. He made our day by giving us organic apples from local farm and still stopped in the very last tulip fields along the way. What a treat.!! The trip gave us enough time to walk in the village of Giethoorn. As we do need a stretch after sitting for quite a while. Very well organized.

Tour guide Sayed was very entertaining & knowledgeable- he took us to a fruit shop where we could taste lots of super delicious fruits & visit to tulip farm was total surprise Than you Sayed for giving us more than we expected

This tour is definitely one of the best that you should never miss if you visit Amsterdam. Our tour guide Mr. Ibrahim was super kind, he made sure that everyone is onboarded well by earlier arrangements via the phone until he dropped us back to Amsterdam. He was informative, full of energy and kindness. I truly recommend this tour and especially with Mr. Ibrahim.
