Magere Brug, or the "Skinny Bridge," is one of Amsterdam’s most famous and picturesque bridges. It spans the Amstel River, offering a stunning view of the opera house and the waterway. Built in the 17th century, the bridge was originally very narrow, which is how it got its name. According to legend, it was constructed by two wealthy sisters who lived on opposite sides of the river and wanted an easy way to visit each other. Today, the bridge is a popular spot for photos, especially at night when it is beautifully lit.

My mother is mobility impaired and cannot walk very well or far. This was the perfect way for her to see all around Amsterdam. Krisztian picked us up right on schedule and was our own personal paparazzi. We ended up with so many great pictures and learned a lot of history. He even stopped and bought us each a krocket to eat. If I could give 10+ stars for Krisztian’s Vondelbike service, I would. I spent four nights in Amsterdam, my first time outside of the UK. Krisztian helped deliver a truly dream-like experience of this incredible place. The man himself is incredibly kind, courteous, and will answer any and all questions you have, to help you on your journey. He even came to meet me at the location I was in, rather than have me walk to the other side of the city to meet him; and he delivered me exactly where I requested once the tour was over. I first met Krisztian when I was completely lost in the city after my tram service was cancelled halfway through the journey to my hotel. Krisztian helped me to my hotel immediately, meanwhile giving me a miniature tour of some of the city on the way there. I was made to feel at home and at complete ease the entire time I was in his company, especially while navigating large crowds and areas I was not familiar with. The following day, I booked the ‘16 landmarks’ tour with him, and it was worth every cent. Not only was it the perfect way to see much of what Amsterdam has to offer, but his thorough knowledge of the city’s history- and his excellent sense of humour 🦎- made my first experience of Amsterdam absolutely perfect. As a passenger, you may eat and enjoy refreshments, you can smoke cigarettes (or herbal cigarettes 😄), stop for photo opportunities, and if you enjoy music, he will even accommodate your music tastes while you sing away 🎶🎤 (I’m sorry for any loss of hearing while taking me around the city, Krisztian! 😂) Vondelbike is an optimal choice for any solo travellers or couples who wish to see a large portion of the city, but do not have the time or resources to use in walking to see these fantastic places and landmarks. And should anyone find themselves lost like I did, just look for Krisztian or one of his colleagues, and they will ensure you have the greatest possible time in Amsterdam. Kristian was extremely helpful on our tour, a very fun and highlights of Amsterdam central city with a bit of explanation of the points. He was very accommodating by picking up us in the hotel and asking where we wanted to be dropped off. He made it very fun and my son and I were treated to bakes from the market, so kind of him.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour of the city. He was very helpful for mobility-challenged passenger and paused at semiconductor spots.

This was a great way to see Amsterdam for the first time. Krisztian picked us up right at our hotel and pedaled us around, pointing out lots of points of interest. He easily maneuvered through tight spaces along the narrow roads and knew the perfect place to take several pictures. We enjoyed this way to get oriented around the older part of town. Note the ride is bumpy due to the uneven roads. It was extremely convenient being returned to our hotel, although Krisztian would have gladly brought us to any destination of choice to end our ride.
Kristzian gave us a great tour of the city. He’s punctual, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the features and history of Amsterdam. My wife is mobility challenged and Krisztisn was very helpful with boarding and getting down from the pedicab. After the tour we went on a canal boat and on to dinner, and he had great recommendations for food and got us to all our destinations and back up our hotel. He also was very helpful finding accessible toilets and took great care of us. You won’t go wrong either him as your guide and transport.

Kristian the driver was great and very personable. He explained the sights along the way, had cold water or soda for us and even let us stop at a souvenir store to pick up an Amsterdam magnet. Krisztian was the best!!! he told us about different areas and allowed us to pick where we wanted to go. He stopped at different areas of interest that we wanted to walk around and explore. We even went to the famous. “Rene’s” for the best croissant with cream and strawberries! Yummy! Will do again. Perfect way to get around the city and to areas where cars cannot go. We had the best time.
It was a last minute trip to Amsterdam and I didn’t have a huge amount of time, so this was perfect result! I got to feel and see Amsterdam; and Krisztian was flexible in amending the itinerary to suit me.
Krisztian was TERRFIC! We used his pedicab service multiple times during our stay in Amsterdam. We used Uber and taxi services, too, but it’s not as personal or intimate as touring Amsterdam by pedicab. Krisztian is a great tour guide, and familiar with the history of this beautiful city. We enjoyed a 75 minute penicab/rickshaw tour of Amsterdam with Krisztian. He was eager to make this experience memorable and he did. He played music, we sang, we laughed, and had a great time. We saw so much of the city. When my phone battery was losing power, he provided a power bank! Krisztian even offered water and stopped at a store for a hot minute so we could buy a souvenir. When booking this tour, be sure to ask for Krisztian!!

Krisztian was awesome providing us a tour of Amsterdam. We got to see all parts of the city while riding safely in the rickshaw. We stopped at major sights to take photos, stopped to try Amsterdam original herring, walked through the flower market and saw many historical a beautifully architectural buildings. Our pedicab tour was a major highlight of our time in Amsterdam. Krisztian is quite obviously a fan of the city, and his excitement at being a part of it was very infectious. We covered a huge lot of ground during our tour, sublimely gliding through crowded plazas, over bridges, and down side canals, as Krisztian regaled us with fascinating facts about the city past and present. Truly a bargain for such an experience!

Me emailing Vondelbike: "Hello! For your pedicab tour, can you please take along three smaller adults at the same time, tomorrow morning, in the rain, for two hours, and drop us off somewhere great for a pint that is near the cruise bus pickup?" Krisztián one minute later: "Yes! All is possible!" We had THE BEST day in Amsterdam thanks to Krisztián. His communication pre-tour was very prompt and polite, and he gave us the best place possible to meet him- near a WC and out of the rain. The tour was fantastic. Lots of great information, and we got to see tons of major Amsterdam sightseeing highlights- plus many options to stop and partake in Dutch cuisine or shopping. Getting around the city on bike (and having Krisztián do all the leg work), was such an amazing way to experience Amsterdam for the first time. If you are trying to see as much as possible in a walkable city without doing much walking, this company is for you. The flexibility Krisztián offers you makes the booking and itinerary of process super easy, and payment in person at the end was convenient. The pedicab itself was comfortable and fun to ride in. There is a canopy that covered us from the rain, and there were transparent rain covers that could be rolled up or down as needed. By far the best part of the tour was Krisztián himself. This was a great tour! The pedicab is perfect, you’re totally immersed with the activities going on outside around you and the history that Gabriel is telling you. The perfect in between of a private car you have to get in and out of and a walking tour.
We hired 2 pedicabs for 2 couples and found our drivers very knowledgeable, flexible and generous with their time. They gave us a snack and a drink too. The communication was fantastic. This tour was great value for money and we would highly recommend it.

Krisztian was an amazing tour guide. We had a nice comfortable trip around Amsterdam city. He was very knowledgeable about the various buildings, pastimes, etc. a few times he stopped on a bridge or other picturesque location to give a chance to record the moment. He also arranged our tour to drop us off at a location of our own choosing since we didn’t want to return to our start. He really provided excellent service and friendliness 🥰
We had a group of 6 and hired 3 pedicabs. The team was top notch! We liked our one hour tour so much that we hired them for the three hour version for the next day! Highly recommend!
The pedicab ride was exceptional for me. Kriztchen (Chris) was my driver and he was great. He showed me around to areas that he felt I would enjoy after speaking with me, but also asked are there places specifically that I wanted to see. It was a very personalized experience. I hope to do something similar again in the near future!
Fantastic great excursion They can accommodate rain wind and/or sun. Informative and enjoyable tour!! We loved it! We only did the 1 hour tour due to time constraints but would have liked to have extended the tour! The guides were parked outside of our hotel for pick up so covenient.
