What a great day with Reinier our guide. Great communication prior to pick up and explaining the day and all the stops. Great that they know all the spots to park, take pics, eat, bathrooms, phone chargers, and answering all kinds of questions about our stops and the Netherlands. Highly recommended.
The overall tour experience was very good. The pickup point needs a bit improvement as there was no sign or indication, we had to circle around to find the guide.
Simon first took us to Giethoorn. Lovely, quaint town. We had 45 minutes to walk around before we took a canal cruise on a covered boat due to the rain. Then we went to Zaanse Schans and spent two hours. It was perfect to scroll around town, took awesome pictures. The day ended at Zaandam with a fun picture opportunity at the Lego Houses hotel. Lots of amazing experiences! Thank you for an unforgettable trip!
Our day was fun, and we saw a lot in spite of the rain. Our guide Simon was amazing. He took great care of us and was patient as we ran around taking photos. He also knows a lot about the country even though he wasn't born there. As for the sites we visited, Giethoorn is beautiful even on a cloudy day. This little town oozes charm, and it's a must see!! Zaanse Schans was nice as well, but it rained a lot while we were there so we didn't get to see too much of the windmills. Lego Village was a photo stop, but Simon gave us plenty of time to see the interesting architecture. This tour was a sweet getaway from the city, and I highly recommend it.
Erik was excellent. Very knowledgable, considerate and punctual. Would definitely recommend Eric for a host. 5 stars.
Simon was a wonderful guide! We had the best time ever and each destination was so special and fun. Highly recommend!!
Leidse was an excellent tour guide. Beautiful tour . Especially the city of geithoon. Similar. To Venice.
We had such a great time. Kai was the best guide and captain. The places we went were beautiful and we spent the right amount of time in each town. Highly recommend it!! 👌
We had a great trip with Kai! He was engaging and knowledgeable. We are a family of four - with two teenagers (13 and 16) - the kids both enjoyed the experience, with one saying the cheese factory was her favourite and the other saying the boat tour (given by Kai). We travelled in an 9 passenger van, and there were 8 people on the tour in total, which was perfect for the busy spots that this tour travelled to.
Beautiful views, our guide was very friendly, I loved being able to see so much in just one day! The cheese tasting was my favorite part, so many delicious cheeses!
Guide was very knowledgeable and gave the group plenty of time to explore. Would definitely book again!
This was a highlight of our trip. I appreciated the timing of everything as it was planned for us to get to the sights before they got crowded and it worked perfectly. So thankful to have had a quieter view of everything before! Ranier was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and personable.
Giethoorn was way worth the trip but we would skip the other two locations. Tourist trap kind of locations. Also know the bus is packed and very hot so the two 1.5 hour drives are miserable.
This was a great experience. Simon, our tour guide Very informative and so much fun. I specifically enjoyed the cheese tastings! I highly recommend this tour.
First and foremost I want to recognize our outstanding tour guild Kai! The man was polite, funny and informative! Giethoorn was our first stop. It was by far the most beautiful stop on the tour. Started with a relaxing boat ride through the town then some free time to explore the town on our own. Then we made a quick stop for some photos in Lego Village. On to our last stop in Zaandam where we seen some windmills and how cheese and wooden shoes are made. Had some free time to walk around the town on our own. Overall fantastic experience! Highly recommended!
The guide was very kind and informative. He was patient with the entire group and gave great tips to eat and sights to see after the tour as well
Erik did an amazing job getting us to the different locations. He showed us a less busy canal route in Giethoorn, which was really appreciated due to the wind and number of people. His knowledge of the waterways there was above many, as he used to live there, and we saw several other boats crash/run into the sides of the canal. Great job overall!
Reinier was a great guide with lots of information and very prepared no matter what happened. The tour was as great as I Hope, very beautiful places to see!
Absolutely excellent day trip! Our guide Kai was knowledgeable, detailed, and right on time. He made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable, and the stops at Zaandam, Zaanse Schans, and Giethoorn were all wonderful. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the best of the Dutch countryside in one day!
Kai was a great guide. He was so knowledgeable on Amsterdam, along with all the many stops on our tour. Also he was very humorous and ensured everyone in our tour group felt welcomed and enjoyed their time together. I’d highly recommend him as a tour guide.
What an amazing experience - I don’t think I will ever forget this magical day! I wasn’t sure what to expect but it exceeded my expectations. The canal ride through Gierthoon was my favourite part, it seemed right out of a storybook. We were able to cover a lot of places and experiences within the time frame and were dropped off before 6pm which I really appreciated. Kai was organized, knowledgeable, humorous and I highly recommend you pick him as a guide if you have the option to. We were a great group and I will miss them!
We went on this tour with Simon, he was so fun and super knowledgeable about the areas we toured. He shared interesting facts and gave us plenty of time to explore. Definitely recommend taking this tour with Simon.
Kao was very engaging. Helped us to gain a great experience. This tour combined some of the most beautiful places near Amsterdam
Leidse was FANTASTIC- we lucked out with amazing weather and a trip packed with a lot of fun. Would recommend - there’s so much to see on the tour and we were absolutely taken with Giethoorn!! The boat tour through the canals was a gorgeous experience. Leidse was 10/10!
Smooth and nice guide for the tour
Zaandam Lego Village is just a photo shoot place. Luckily we spent only 15 mins there. Zaanse Schans is a wonderful experience with its wind mills, cheese tasting, village experience and wooden shoe making demo. We bought quite some variety of cheeses. Giethoorn is awesome never to miss experience with it canal cruise tour and walking around the village. With it breezy 12 to 15 deg temperature, walking around provided a laid back experience. Our tour guide Kai entertained us with facts, figures and also fun. He guided us well, recommended lunch places and explained the places we went. Thank you Kai. Overall wonderful experience.
Well informed caring tour guide. Got good information. Attentive. Nice pace. Itinerary kept. Good driver. We were expecting tour at the wrong meeting point ( was changed 24 hours earler) but he came to pick us. Enough time in each place for pictures
Leidse was a great tour guide who made our trip memorable. He explained the entire history of the place and organised everything for us to start and close the day on time covering everything
We had a fantastic day trip, everything was really well organized, and the experience felt seamless from start to finish. Our tour operator, Koen, was excellent. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day enjoyable with his insights and easygoing style. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it made a big difference in the overall experience. Transportation was smooth and comfortable, and the itinerary was well-paced so we never felt rushed but still got to see a lot. Each stop had its own charm, and it was a great way to experience areas outside of Amsterdam. Highly recommend this tour.
If you’re thinking about doing a day trip from Amsterdam—do it. This Day Trip to Zaandam Lego Village, Zaanse Schans, and Giethoorn was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Zaandam was such a fun and unexpected stop—the Lego-style architecture feels like something out of a storybook. Walking through Zaanse Schans was like stepping back in time, with its iconic windmills, wooden houses, and live demonstrations. It didn’t feel rushed at all—we actually had time to take it in, grab photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. And then Giethoorn… wow. Giethoorn is every bit as magical as people say. The canals, thatched-roof cottages, and peaceful vibe made it feel like a fairytale. Cruising through the waterways was incredibly relaxing and honestly unforgettable. What really made the day stand out, though, was Simon. He was knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He shared great insights without overwhelming us, kept everything running smoothly, and added a personal touch that made the whole experience feel special—not just like a generic tour. If you want a well-paced, beautiful, and stress-free way to see some of the Netherlands’ most charming spots, this tour is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
Simon was very informative, professional, attentive, accommodating and friendly. Also awesome navigating a boat through the canal. 10/10
Lovely sight to see! Unique architecture!
Really enjoyed the trip, got to see the windmills, tried all sorts of cheese and the wooden clogs. Koen was very good at timing our activities to avoid crowds which we really appreciated! The boat cruise through Giethoorn was scenic and relaxing.
Koen was a fantastic tour guide. He explained everything very well and escorted us to great places. He was good at giving us an idea of what to see and then provided adequate time to tour out on our own.
Everything went on schedule. Koen keep us updated from time to meet and places to visit. He is very knowledgeable about the tour and other information for our visit to Amsterdam. I enjoyed all the places we visited on the tour.
First of all Pete was beyond amazing!!!! Second it was worth every minute and penny. The places were soooo beautiful and we had time to walk around. I highly recommend this tour!!!!
Highly recommended trip. Our tour guide, Simon, is very attentive and very knowledgeable about the tour. He also make good changes to the tour to accommodate one of the participant that was late. Overall, Simon is very professional and made good suggestions for our lunch as well. We had a wonderful trip.
Guide is good, I was supposed to be in an English tour but changed last minute, so my kid don’t understand as much. Car little cramp, it should have at max 7 guests on this type of van.
Great day trip, Lego hotel was visually interesting The wind mills were lovely to see working. cheese making demonstration and free samples !!! Clog demonstration was great & giethoorn boat experience was calming and stunning. Our guide Leidse was full of interesting information, he made it a great day out.
It was very cold but very worth the trip. Bundle up and be ready to see some amazing things! My tour guide, Pete, was great and very informative of the area.
This was a fun experience. Eric was fabulous. He picked me up from the hotel, which made life a lot easier. Then took great care of our group making sure each of us was comfortable, and well taken care of and answered ALL of our questions. I had lots! He shared a lot of fun history of each place and was very knowledgeable of all of them. Each place was very different from the other and it was fun to see so many different parts of the Netherlands. I learned a lot & loved the experience. Thanks Eric!!
Liedse was hands down one of the best tour guides we had on our trip throughout europe. he was energetic, engaging, personable, and humorous. we learned so much about the beautiful villages and snenic highlights. we definitely recommend this tour, especially with our very knowledgeable guide, Liedse
Our tour guide Reinier did a great job. He gave us many fun facts of Amsterdam on the ride and provided us bottle water and free wifi. Zaandam was a photo stop. In Zaanse Schans, after cheese tasting and clog workshop, we paid 7.5euro/pp to go up a windmill. We had lunch at Grand Cafe in Giethoorn. After the boat ride, we had free time to explore on our own. The whole day tour was relaxing.
Simon was our guide, driver, boatman and did a great job taking us around to Giethoorn, Zanse Saans, and Zandam. We had plenty of free time and beautiful weather to enjoy these places in September. He took us to Giethoorn first to avoid the crowds, which was great since it's a small place and very beautiful.
It’s a long day but you will experience the Netherlands countryside and farming areas. The transportation was clean and very comfy. Our guide Pete was patient, courteous and professional, despite a ‘challenging’ family turning up with more people than they had booked for he did his utmost to accommodate them. He kept us well informed with extensive local and national knowledge. His meal recommendations were spot on! The places you will visit are ‘iconic’ and showcase both modern and historic Netherlands landmarks.
Layden was such an amazing tour guide .. he was so sweet n thoughtful that he kept sweets n water for us .. carried r bags n even gave us cookies .. he made it a delightful experience..
A pleasant, comfortable tour, very well taken care of by the guides Reinier and Erik. Attentive at all times.
The city center of Zaandam on a Sunday morning is rather disappointing. Unkempt and not particularly clean, cheap chain stores. The colorful houses from 2010 looked interesting, but out of place. Photos would have been enough.
Beautiful experience. All the places visited are absolutely unique and deserve a visit. Excellent guide
