We had a fantastic tour to Castle De Haar! Our tour guide, Eva, was absolutely awesome – incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and easy-going, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. She shared so much interesting information and brought the history of the castle to life without ever making it feel overwhelming. The castle itself was stunning and well worth visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Netherlands. If you get Ava as your guide, you’re in for a treat!

Host was not only knowledgeable about the castle, but also about the area. She was a great person to talk to about everything.

Small group canceled so I did a private tour with Sarah. We went to DeHaar Castle & then to The Hague Mauritshuis art museum to see The Girl with the Pearl Earring + other Dutch art. We had a lovely visit at the castle and the beautiful gardens. A nice walk through Market Square to eat some lunch. Then a visit to the Art museum. Sarah is delightful, knowledgeable especially in art & history. She speaks excellent English having lived in the USA. And was a good driver too. I would take a tour by her anytime. 5 stars.

I got yelled at by the staff for placing my hand on a cupboard by accident because i was almost falling over. If you don't want people touching rothschild goods than cover it with tempered glass. I am sure they can spare some money for that. they can spend a million dollars on a chandelier which i can purchase for 1/1000th of the price from build.com, i am sure they can afford to cover their cupboards, instead of putting small signs everywhere that say, "DO NOT TOUCH" No places to sit for elderly. My parents got tired from all the stair climbing. They are fit for their age, but still they are elderly and needed some seating. I'm sure the rothschilds can also spare some seating for the elderly visitors of the castle, as well. Our tour guide was good for a beginner. She is multilingual.. she was extremely young and had just started with the tour.. i'm sure with experience, she will pick up and be even better. However, nothing against the tour guide.. I just didn't learn too much about the castle. I picked up the cards along the castle and googled info. She had nothing to do with the castle nor their staff. So 5 stars for the tour guide 1 star for the castle itself giving it 3 stars.

We had such a wonderful time visiting the castle and enjoying lunch afterward at the goat farm. Traveling with two toddlers isn’t always easy, but Eva made the entire day feel so special and enjoyable for all of us. Her kindness, patience, and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression on our family. We will look back on this experience with very fond memories, and it gave us such a lovely impression of Amsterdam and the warm hospitality of Dutch Tours. Thank you, Eva, for making our day so memorable!

This was a must see experience for us visiting Amsterdam and it didn’t disappoint. The whole family (teenaged kids) loved the tour. Ava was a fantastic guide. Getting to the castle early allowed for great pictures without crowds in the way.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Kasteel de Haar. It's a beautiful castle and gardens complex with a fascinating backstory of how it came to be. There's a restaurant on the property and the food was delicious and the service excellent. Our guide Ava was very knowledgeable and friendly and brought the whole tour to life. We would recommend this tour, which is just about a 30 minute drive outside of Amsterdam.

The visit to Castle De Haar was a great experience. We were guided around the interior of the castle and then we were given free time to explore on our own and get lunch if we wished to. It was a perfect amount of time.

The tour was excellent. The guide friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer questions both specific about the castle but life in the Netherlands as well. It was a small group so you didn’t need to strain to hear the guide and you didn’t feel rushed to see everything. It was worth the money to see the beautiful castle and learn the history.

The directions for pick up were very clear. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She was also a good driver. The castle was beautiful and we learned a lot!

Visiting Castle de Haar felt like stepping directly into a storybook. It is easily one of the most stunning castles I’ve seen, and the entire experience was well-organized from start to finish. The interior is breathtaking, but what really made the visit was our guide. They were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing deep historical insights that brought the rooms to life. The gardens are immaculately maintained and great for a long stroll. We especially enjoyed the maze—it was a fun, playful challenge that added a bit of adventure to the day. Overall, the transportation provided was very comfortable and made the trip out to the castle seamless. The only downside was the audio during transit. We were seated in the very last row of chairs, and unfortunately, the guide's speech was frequently drowned out by the surrounding traffic noise. If you're heading out on a tour, I’d recommend trying to grab a seat closer to the front to ensure you don’t miss any of the interesting stories shared along the way! Absolutely worth the visit for the history and the views, just keep an eye on your seating for the ride!

This is a fun trip. Our guide was informative and gave us a great tour of the castle itself, but was also mindful of making sure we had enough time to explore the grounds and gardens on our own.

Castle De Haar didn’t disappoint. Pretty interesting to see and learn about. Beautiful place. Both the castle and the gardens. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. There is a gift shop and a nice restaurant onsite. Coffee Shop as well.

Eva is a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable, fun and witty. She knew not just about the castle but about the history and culture of the area. She was a pro. We have been traveling Europe for more than a decade and Eva was one of the best guides we have ever had.

The tour began exactly where and when we expected. The directions for the starting point were perfect. Eva, our guide was AMAZING!!! She was very welcoming, accommodating, friendly, and professional. She offered us a wealth of information, and had a knack for storytelling that kept us interested the entire time. She even had beverages and snacks for us! In addition, the castle was fantastic. The story of the family and castle through the ages was captivating. The grounds were lovely despite it being February and on the cold side. This is definitely a must do!

What a special time we spent touring the Castle with our guide Sarah! She greeted us and one other guest in a wonderful van and drove us to the countryside and the Castle. Sarah gave us a personal tour that lasted about an hour in the castle with lots of interesting facts about the history of the building (from ruins to a breathtaking building and fun details about the famous guests entertained here. and We were then given the opportunity to walk the castle again if desired, tour the beautiful park and gardens, visit the gift shop and enjoy a delicious lunch before meeting up with us again to transport us back to the city. This tour was a highlight for us during our Amsterdam stay! We highly recommend Sarah’s Dutch Tours.

Yesterday, I went on this tour led by Eva and she was amazing! She used no notes and was very knowledgeable about the castle and its history. Overall, Eva also was friendly and approachable. She boosted this vacation, for sure!

Eva was fantastic and very knowledgeable and kept us to the schedule well. The castle itself is beautiful and well worth looking around. Only reason it's not five stars is there wasn't enough time to see all the grounds as the place is huge, but the castle was covered well.

I had the pleasure of joining a group tour to Kasteel de Haar in the Netherlands, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my solo travel journey! The guide was warm, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and also incredibly passionate about the castle and it's history.

Excelent tour, we were 5 people in the van. It was really confortable the trip to the Castle and the tour guide was really nice and clear when explaining.

I took a tour to Castle Haar. The guide was great. I have a hearing disability and the guide made sure I could hear her. I had enough time to explorer the castle. I did not feel rushed or hurried along. I would use the tour company again if I am able to return to Amsterdam.

This tour took us to a castle that has been updated and much more showy than any other castle we have seen. The tour is good, however and I would recommend it.

This was an absolutely awesome tour. The tour guide Ava was wonderful and extremely nice. Ava went out of her way after the tour to much sure we knew the way back to our car. The castle was something out of a fairy tale. Highly recommend!

Ava, our driver, was fantastic. The castle and grounds were beautiful. Everything went great. Picked up on time, dropped off at a great location.

The castle was beautiful and Sarah provided a lot of information about the history of it. Afterwards, we had about 1.5 hours to explore the castle on our own or walk around the grounds which was really the perfect amount of time. Oh, and there is also a hedge maze. Go left when you step inside and you might save yourself a little time. :)

Castle de haar is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are stunning. Sarah was very accommodating to the needs of our group. We appreciated her flexibility and knowledge. The drop off at our cruise ship was also a nice touch. Thanks for the lovely tour!

Our guide was superb. Great at keeping in contact with us before the tour. Great instructions on where to meet. She was able to give us lots of historical information on the drive out to the castle from downtown Amsterdam. She walked with us through the castle guiding and explaining as we went along. This was very helpful, too, l so we didn't have to read everything. She also told us little stories that she's gathered from talking with docents in the castle on different tours, the history and the gossip.... what famous people had visited and stayed at the castle visiting the Rothchilds. She gave us plenty of free time to explore the gardens and get a bite to eat before we traveled back. Excellent tour!
