Fun, educational and interactive. Doesn’t take too long and it is worth it for the drink alone. The take away drinks for €3 were also awesome!

So interesting, growing up in the hotel industry I did not know the long history of Bols. It was really fun to do with my daughter and the bar staff were lovely!

This was so much fun for me as I grew up knowing the Bols logo in my parents pub and now my daughter who came with me is a bartender so it was a great insight to the Bols name.

We didn't need to book this (it was quite quiet in February) and got a discount using the I Amsterdam City Card, which makes it reasonable value as it includes a cocktail at the end. The self-guided tour is accompanied by an free audio guide handset. The tour takes about an hour and is multisensory, there are also some really colourful and fun photo and video opportunities. The bar at the end was a lovely place to relax with a cocktail chosen from a fairly extensive menu and expertly made by the staff.

Fun experience, interesting information. Good drinks! If you ask questions at the bar about tastes they will let you taste multiple items and then even modify you chosen drink based on your taste if you'd like. Bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable.

We visited the Bols Experience and had a great time! It was fun, informative, and packed with lots of interesting details. The interactive activities made it really engaging, and overall it felt like great value for money. The only slight disappointment was the espresso martini – it was served from a tap. While it tasted great (and I completely understand it’s one of their most popular cocktails, so it makes sense for efficiency), it was very quiet when we were there, and part of the enjoyment for me is seeing a cocktail being freshly shaken. That aspect took a little away from the experience. That being said, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to others looking for something fun and unique to do in Amsterdam.

Didn't expect much, but wow. Lots of info, well explained. Example, pick up this cocktail making tool and video shows how to use it and common substitute at home. The cocktail tasting at the end is superb. I tried and liked the very old genever.

My husband and I visited here on our anniversary and participated in a cocktail workshop. Overall, we enjoyed the museum, and the drinks were delicious. The environment was quite lively and crowded. However, the red-haired girl from Turkey who conducted our workshop had poor English, which made it difficult for us to understand her. When we asked her something, she was not so friendly, as if she didn’t want to answer our questions. Workshop was not like we expected, but we still had fun.

We received a warm welcome, the ladies at the reception made us feel at ease. They gave us the freedom to first purchase the entrance tickets for the museum, and told us we could decide later if we wanted to upgrade to the workshop. We had some trouble using the audio tour, the girls were quick to help us out. The museum/experience was very interesting. Not only was it informational, it was also interactive. All your senses are stimulated here! The freebee at the beginning (a shot, to be enjoyed in a 3d experience booth) is such a nice gesture. After the experience/museum (it took us about 60 mins, but you can do it on your own pace) we opted for the upgrade on the workshop. We took a 30 mins workshop, in wich we not only created 2 cocktails, but the lady who led this workshop, was very entertaining and informative. We also got a token to get an extra cocktail at the bar after the workshop. Cocktails were all amazing. The total experience was 10/10 and we will be back for sure, especially when we have visitors from abroad. We went as a couple on a date and had a great time. Extra info: Just the experience/museum comes with 1 free cocktail of your choice. I asked for an off menu cocktail (the aviation) and it was happily made by the bartender without having to look up the recipe. The bartender was super professional and passionate about his craft. The 30 min workshop comes with 2 additional cocktails, the ones that ate created by yourself in the workshop (you can't choose this one, it's chosen by the trainer. In our case it was a gin based caipirinha and a pornstar martini). Also the mocktails were great, imagine an alcohol free mezcal smokey paloma! Yummie. You will get a 10% discount in the store so you can take home liquors or tools as a souvenir All in all, we don't understand why Bols is not yet the the top 5 things to do in amsterdam A very very big recommendation by us!

The museum itself is okay - tells you a bit about our senses, how we interpret flavours, etc. but the real star of the show is the cocktail making experience! It's an affordable add-on to your trip that gives you an insight into mixology. You get to pick your flavour combinations and be guided by experienced bartenders in a relaxed setting. I would definitely go back to repeat it.

The bols cocktail experience was great we had a really good time here there is alot of information and alot of interaction and you get a cocktail of your choice either alcoholic or non alcoholic at the end of the experience when you get to the bar section It takes about 1 hour to do the experience then drinks really good experience would highly recommend. Not far from Heineken Experience.

A fun experience to understand the history of Bols. A cocktail included at the end but as there was a large group just starting their tour when we arrived, we had the cocktail before the tour. Lots of choice of cocktails and great bar staff. The only criticism was that it was very loud in the bar area - music in the bar, a big group and a cocktail class nearby - and lots of bright lighting. Bad timing for us but would recommend if you like cocktails.

I hadn’t really looked into the experience much as it was part of our GoCity card. But turned out to be one of our favourite experiences in Amsterdam. Loved trying to guess all the different smells, learning about Bols Genever and having a cheeky cocktail (or 5). Such a fun part of our trip.

Every time a great experience! I've been to "House of Bols" for the third time and I always love coming here. The staff is super friendly and motivated and the bartenders are extremely competent when it comes to cocktails of all sorts. The museum itself is small but interesting and an overall fun experience especially if you come here with friends or your partner!

A really fun way to spend an hour or so! We happened to walk past it, and stopped by. It’s very interactive lots to smell and learn about. Really enjoyed the random shot and the cocktail at the end. Bar staff made us a birthday shot which was delicious. We would love to go back and try the cocktail making class as it looked really good.

A fun experience when visiting the museum area. Even my wine-drinking husband enjoyed the distillery history, tincture sampling, cocktail mixing, and the cocktails themselves. Fun!

Me and my girlfriend came here as we was recommended by some other friends of ours. I must say bols didn’t disappoint us at all, the museum is full of interesting stuff and the bar is a great atmosphere to be. The bartender that helped up maya was absolutely fantastic, he has superb talent as a bartender and incredible customer service, he was the friendliest person we met on our trip!
