Banksy Museum Amsterdam

I saw some work I never saw before and learned some pretty cool things about Banksy. I enjoyed the museum.

It was very accessible. Great presentation. Lots of nice pieces. Especially liked the colorful portraits.

What a gem of a museum. Installations feel authentic and displays perfectly placed in an urban like climate. Short and concise info about every piece. Some were new to me—rooms and rooms. Sweet gift store with lots of merch. Set in a nice part of town away from the crowds. If you love Banksy you his is a must see!

A must see experience. Banksy may be controversial, but his art make the viewer think. It may change you idea about art.

I stumbled across this museum on Google Maps, and since I'm a Banksy fan, I had to visit it right away. My conclusion: it was absolutly worth it! It's a collection of very authentically reproduced works in a fitting setting. The exhibits are arranged chronologically and thematically. The collection is complemented by short videos. This museum isn't the easiest to find, but Google Maps can help. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket office.

Great to see the works recreated and displayed together in a thoughtful way, with good narratives! Will be great for people who would like to know more about Banksy and the pieces. Easy to get to by bus from Amsterdam Central (to us about 12 mins, then short walk afterwards).

Truly amazing experience. Great value for the price. My mom and I had the whole museum practically to ourselves, so we feel lucky about that. Anyone interested in street art or social commentary art should definitely go here.

Undoubtedly the BEST MUSEUM in Amsterdam !! This unique art presentation is incredible to walk thru and easy explanation and engaging video presentations . Banksy does not disappoint and deserves to be in ALL museums ! DO NOT MISS THIS MUSEUM !

Visited this past Sunday as a part of a nearly 30,000 steps walk around Amsterdam. I would recommend the visit for the impact that seeing recreations of Banksy's work can have. Many of Banksy's works have powerful messages about war and consumerism as well as authority figures. I had only had a general idea about Banksy before visiting and have gained more respect for his message, and feel worse about capitalism. I think it'd be important for everyone to see Banksy's work recreated as it was done in this setting. My only concern is that Banksy in no way profits from the ticket sales, so I just hope that whoever is profiting is doing good with the funds. I would also have liked to see a few more options in the gift shop on magnets or posters.

The museum is in an odd location and far from most other sights. It’s dark and a bit creepy. There were very few staff and it felt a bit uncomfortable. Not sure how authentic the art was

Amazing. We spent nearly two hours in here. We really enjoyed the layout. A great experience and we'll woth a visit.

I was able to admire a huge number of Banksy’s works, organised by historical period and displayed as they would have been in their original locations. The museum comes highly recommended, though it’s not easy to get to by public transport.

Aside from the art and the history behind it, it was very interesting to learn about the worldwide humanitarian efforts throughout the years.

I really liked many of the installations. It was very interesting. There are a lot of different types of paintings and a lot of different installations.

Was a nice experience, loads of room to roam around and not be herded around like sheep like you sometimes are in galleries/museums. Great to see what different types of Banksy's there are and where he has been over the years. We really enjoyed it. Probably not for you if you're not a Banksy fan but if you are i would recommend it. Very relaxed and souvenirs reasonably priced.

Brilliant for a true Banksy fan!!! Really immersive! It is something that is different from the London version with the real 3D replications.

A really cool and thought provoking exhibit of some of Banksy’s best work. The art really inhabits the space and makes you feel as though you’re on the street viewing the art. Really happy we visited.

Really enjoyed this visit. So many paintings in one place you really get the essence of Banksy’s work - the artwork is depicted on huge walls which makes it feel real. Excellent value for money.

Really welcoming staff who clearly also have a love for art and banksy, the art is so cleverly put around so ur never know what’s coming next as ur walking around would definitely recommend for anyone who’s a lover of art

If you are fan of Banksy’s work and in Amsterdam this is a great additional activity to include in your trip! Went on a Friday early afternoon and was nice and quiet so could walk through casually and enjoy without crowds.

Loved this museum. It was unique and my trip to Amsterdam was a nice introduction to his work on a deeper level. You get to experience videos sound images all in one place and learn so much about the history and meaning behind his work. I hope to one day visit his hotel as it’s one of the few permanent art work his has. Learning how he is using his money for good was amazing to learn.
