Excellent experience. The guide personalized the tour to reflect our interests. Lived in the area and could share a local perspective to life in Amsterdam.

This was an excellent tour to learn about the significant history of the Jewish quarter in Amsterdam. Our tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and personable. His love of Amsterdam enhanced the extensive and detailed information he provided as we traveled through the area. In addition, his sensitivity and insight when describing the situation in Amsterdam during World War II was greatly appreciated. This tour ended with the Anne Frank Museum. We highly recommend both this tour and, specifically, Chris.
We spent the afternoon with Guido on an amazing and informative walking tour about the Jewish History of Amsterdam. He was so informative and took us through much history with which we were unfamiliar. We began our tour at the Portuguese Synagogue and completed it with a visit to the Anne Frank House and Museum. I highly recommend this tour and Guido as a tour guide.
Guido is an excellent private tour guide. He took us almost all over Amsterdam pertaining to Anne Frank, the Holocaust memorial, history of Amsterdam and the Jewish who was taken to concentration camps both Dutch and German Jews. He was very patience and explained all the stops, buildings, we particularly the history of Amsterdam while walking around the city even in the pouring rain. We would definitely recommend him if you need a tour guide. He is so knowledgeable he could be a teacher in school. Thanks Guido!
Chris was so full of knowledge of Amsterdam and history. So easy to listen to as we walked around the city Anne Frank is a must see
This one was full of history about Amsterdam and what the city went through during WWII, the Jews and their plight before and during WWII, as well as other interesting historical facts. We had plenty of time to ask questions and have discussions. The Anne Frank house experience was very sobering, while detailing what life was like in hiding. Definitely an experience anyone interested in history should book.
Excellent overview of Jewish and Amsterdam history with emphasis on World War 2, very in depth understanding of this time
We loved our tour guide Esther, who was so kind and knowledgable. She even helped us find a friends grandmother who’s name was on the memorial wall and found out more info digitally!!
Nice experience. Very knowledgeable guide and we learned a lot about Amsterdam and their Jewish community.
Very important, moving museum for everyone to see. We cannot forget the past & how more than 6 million Jews, gays & gypsies were murdered by the Nazis & Hitler in WWII.
This tour is a must for all who visit Amsterdam. Our guide Kaleigh was absolutely amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and had such sensitivity and compassion. She made a point to personalize our experience, and answered all of our questions in great detail. Thank you for such an awesome and educational experience.
Although the experience is billed as 3 hours, it’s actually 3 hours plus the Anne Frank house which is at least another hour. It was fabulous and so moving.
This tour was impactful and exceptional. Out tour guide Guido - was articulate, knowledgable, and patient (this was important - because it was warm!). His ability to speak in depth about the history pre-war, and the angst and sorrow - excellent. Ending with the tour of the Anne Frank House and Annex - pulled it all together. We would highly recommend.
Great tour guide made this incredibly moving tour outstanding. A full recounting of the life before, during and just a bit after the war / holocaust. The tour culminated with a tour of the Anne Frank House and annex - impactful to say the least.
Very informative and great tour of Amsterdam with Anne Frank focus. Our tour guide Guido was excellent. We had a group of 10.
Exceptional tour given by Kayleigh! She wove in the history of Amsterdam’s tolerance and placed the Jewish community within it. Her knowledge of the daily life in Amsterdam, before and during the Nazi occupation, was superb. She pointed out the stumbling stones in front of houses marking where Jews had lived before the war, explained the design and purpose of National Holocaust Names Memorial, two of several special moments on the tour. She also showed us the first Holocaust Memorial to gays murdered by the Nazi regime. Kayleigh and this tour of Jewish history are fantastic.
Guido was great. He was very informative and a great communicator. He was well educated on many cultures and was able to have good discussions with us on many fronts.
Wonderful tour with excellent, knowlegable tour guide.
Fsbulous tour. Guido was the absolute BEST. He was very knowledgeable and kind to our daughter who had a problem with her foot. Ann Franks house was amazing. Having tickets inside was a must.
Kaleigh was friendly, helpful, very informative and had a great sense of humour. We really enjoyed this wonderful experience.
It is walking but at a leisurely pace. Our guide Guido was very knowledgeable and made everything interesting but not like a lecture. We were able to ask questions and get our specific interests explained and the history of it all. Having them purchase our Anne Frank tickets made it so much easy so book early! We were there immediately after Memorial Day so we had some extra history and were able to see impact of war on descenders. Took a tram and had a pie and coffee stop. Great tour!! The non Jewish people in our group really appreciated this history.
Our guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining. We really enjoyed her! The sites and information she gave were sobering and educational!
Such an informative way to learn! We greatly appreciated this tour Our guide, Stephan, was smart, well informed, and organized
I would highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Kaleigh, was very informative about the history, the culture and the experiences of the Jewish people during the war. This package includes and ends with a timed ticket to the Ann Frank house. Not to be missed with any visit to Amsterdam!
Guido was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The tour provided great insights about Amsterdam history and many other things. We were even able to get into the actual house.
Lots of walking. But easy to do. A very sad time in history but so important to know. Stephan was amazing!
Had an amazing tour, Guido was so knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. We learned so much, would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking about a tour. And request Guido!
Not worth the cost for a private tour. I could have gotten the same information in a group tour for 1/3 Of the cost. Also when an issue came up over timing the guide became very argumentative. Also the visit to Anne Franks house probably will not be during that 3 hour tour. You could possibly have to go back later at your own expense.
Had a very thorough and enjoyable walk with Guido, who was very knowledgeable about the history of the Jewish people in Amsterdam, especially regarding World War II.
We learned a lot about the history of Amsterdam during World War Two and how it impacted the Jewish community. We visited landmarks listed and finished the tour with an unforgettable visit to the Anne Frank House. Our tour guide, Guido, was wonderful! We learned so much from him.
Stefan from Bespoke Tours was fantastic. We started with Portugese synagogue and finished at Ann Frank’s house We learned a lot about Jewish people in Amsterdam!
With our limited time in Amsterdam, this was an excellent way to see highlights we absolutely didn’t want to miss! Our guide, Guido, is highly experienced and a native of Amsterdam. It was a great experience.
Guido was our guide and he was the best. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We enjoyed the tour very much. The Anne Frank Museum was so moving. 5 Star tour.
This tour was absolutely amazing. Our guide Chris was second to none. He took his time, cared what we were interested in and gave us a tour that not just focused on Anne Frank but on the city itself since my family and I did not know much about Amsterdam. We had a few stops at cafés to warm up which were needed on a cold day. This tour is a strong 5 out of 5. The company was extremely accommodating and was very easy to communicate with. The Anne Frank house is very heavy and im so happy that my family got to see it, all of which was handled as part of this tour. With that said I dont know that we would have fully understood what we were seeing and how many Jewish people were taken from Amsterdam alone and how few returned without Chris giving us the history behind the story of Anne Frank and we definitely wouldnt have known much about the city itself but feel we do now. I highly recommend any tours with this company and Chris specifically, thank you guys so much!
We had a great learning experience. Our guide, Guido, was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and polite. It is not easy to navigate a group of visitors with different levels of knowledge, and this group included a mix of visitors, including religious Jews (like us). Guido handled this with great sensitivity and professionalism, making everyone feel comfortable and engaged. The tour was well balanced, informative, and deeply meaningful, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful and respectful approach throughout the visit.
Kaleigh was a wonderful tour guide! Even though the weather was messy, she did an outstanding job of showing us the Jewish quarter and giving us so much history. Loved the apple pie and the chance to dry off and get warm. Would love to do a future tour with Kaleigh.
Chris Page is a fantastic guide with an amazing knowledge of the history of the Jewish population in Amsterdam leading up to World War II and the atrocities they faced during the war. He was easy to engage with on a wide range of topics related to the history of Amsterdam and made the afternoon a concise and comprehensive history lesson.
Guido was an excellent guide for the Jewish quarter of Amsterdam and the private tour was definitely worth the money. He was personable, funny and easy to hang out with for a few hours. He is from Amsterdam and he knows the city intimately. He was very knowledgeable about the Jewish section of the town and knew the history of the Jewish quarter. He was sensitive to the significance and the relevance of today’s current issues and the past Amsterdam has experienced. The Anne Frank hiding place is worth your time to visit. The history of what the family went through was hell. Seeing the small space the 8 people shared for 2 years was unfathomable. Should we ever come back to Amsterdam, we won’t hesitate to contact Guido for a guided tour of another section of Amsterdam.
This is one of the best tours we took on our stay in Amsterdam. The guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. We visited the holocaust memorial wall which was an extremely emotional place. At the end of the walking tour we ended at the Anne Frank’s house. What an extraordinary place. You have been told about this ,read about it and seen movies about it but until you experience it you then really understand what they went thru. Highly recommended this tour.
Kaleigh was passionate & well versed She has degrees in history and art. History obviously US born. So English was perfect. She was so kind and accommodating to us being older and not as nimble, but the history, the knowledge and the interesting stories she shared were amazing. Well, worth the money in time, one of the best the tourists we've been on
This is a fantastic tour! Kaleigh is very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and the Jewish Quarter. She is very personable and can answer any question you throw at her. It was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it!!
Kayleigh was an amazing tour guide! She is so knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and the Jewish Quarter and able to answer any questions you may have about the city. She is also super cute and personable. This is the second time I’ve taken this tour (first with friends and a year later with my husband) and I still learned new information the second time around. The way the tour is structured leaves you at the Anne Frank to tour on your own. Very sobering but definitely a must see while in Amsterdam. Highly, highly recommend Kayleigh and this tour!
Kayleigh was our guide. She is an excellent teacher, knowledgeable and personable. She is a wealth of knowledge and happy to answer questions. We really enjoyed our tour! If we could give her more than 5 stars, we would!
The tour guide was amazing and a perfect fit-knew all about WWII and German invasion, as well as Jewish history. She showed us all spots in Amsterdam related to aforementioned content.
This private tour was truly private and was limited to myself, my wife and our two traveling companions. Kaleigh was our guide and she was knowledgeable, engaging and great fun. Could not have asked for a better experience.
A wonderful blend of history and modern day Amsterdam. Chris was an amazing guide. Knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our interests.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with our guide, Inbal. She made the history walk interactive and informative. It was a lesson in the Jewish history that we were mostly unaware of. We wanted to dedicate part of our stay in Amsterdam to honor those from the past that perished as well as getting a more in depth understanding of their immigration story. We also appreciated the various statues and memorials honoring those that challenge the norm. Our Anne Frank “house” tickets were delivered the morning of the walk and we gained access without issue.
Chris was amazing! He certainly knows his history which was so awesome! Turned us on to some really cool spots - places and things we never would have discovered on our own! 10 out of 10!!!
Our tour guide Guido was excellent and very knowledgeable. The pace was just right and we learned a lot of new information.
Our tour guide, Inbal, was absolutely fantastic. We had previously had a brief opportunity to learn about this subject on a different tour and had toured the Holocaust museum, so we were set up perfectly for the in depth information we learned on this tour. Inbal is very knowledgeable on the subject and was open to our questions and discussions. The break for a slice of the best apple pie in Amsterdam was memorable thanks to the company, discussions, and the pie! Inbal was also able to procure tickets for the Anne Frank house tour. Be sure to book this tour well in advance (as in, a month or two early) to ensure you can get these hard-to-get tickets!
