I just wished we had headphones so we could hear the tour guide a littke better. Leo was great and informative. He was willing to answer any question.

Leo was amazing. Very knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. However, we thought we would be going into the Ann Frank house. In looking back at the description we see that. It lists the house in what’s included, but that is not checked. Easily missed if you are scanning it quickly. It also said a one hour tour and it was 2 hours. We really only had time for 1 hour but it felt rude to leave early so we had to skip our next activity.
Please note this does not start at the Anne Frank museum nor does it give you access. It is just a walk about with some history of occupation
We was recommended by a friend to book with this company- unfortunately our experience wasn’t good. We waited around and no tour guide showed up. Very disappointed ☹️
Our guide was informative and friendly and made the tour memorable and left you questioning life and people
Leo our tour guide was excellent. A brilliant tour around Amsterdam. Also talked about buildings and general interest points not just history
It was great - not too long and our tour guide Malachi was excellent and very informative. It was overall a smashing experience
I might have been expecting too much, but the tour felt a bit light on information. It felt more like a stroll and nice chat than a tour
Our tour guide was Malachi and he was really knowledgable, he answered any questions and we genuinely enjoyed the tour so much and he made it so much better, told us random things that we would never have known but so glad that he did as made to tour so much better. My daughter and I were only in Amsterdam for the day before moving on to Bergen that evening and he and the tour gave us more insight before visiting Bergen Belsen. Would highly recommend this tour.
It was incredible. Leo was charismatic , intelligent and so passionate. His knowledge of his history and wisdom was fantastic. It was a wonderful walk around , taking in the sights . Beautiful day. Would highly recommend this tour and you’ll be lucky to get Leo
There were lots of misunderstands with this tour.. Many were my own! Turns out the recommendation to get tickets for the Anne Frank house not only were needed (I did not read the fine print) and it's suggested 6 weeks in advance. We scheduled the tour 2 weeks in advance with an expectation that tickets were available thru the tour company.. We also had challenges with yours appearing on the app which I thought were corrected. Other tours went off without problems but I will only do private tours in the future with Viator or their competitors
We enjoyed the tour, it is packed with great information about Anne Frank and her family. Our guide was very knowledgeable and added some great insights into Amsterdam during WWII.
Max was great in telling all the stories and pointing out the historical aspects of Amsterdam on our walking tour. Telling the story about Ann Frank and her family was so interesting and heartbreaking. It was a great walking tour.
Excellent tour! Learned so much and our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful!
It was very interesting and you lern a lot about Anne Franks history but you also hear other incredible storys about other people in Amsterdam during WW2.
Very informative from our guide Max and plenty of detail and numbers which we did not know about and answered any questions.
Malachai was wonderful. He is so knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a smaller group, so it was wonderful. We catered the pace to each of us.
Due to an overnight delay with my EasyJet flight for Amsterdam, I missed my original tour on 15th October — but the team were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to keep spaces for me and my friend on the 17th. Max was our guide and he was excellent: fluent, articulate, right on time, and clearly very knowledgeable. It was a small group, and it was lovely to see everyone so interested and engaged throughout. He shared so much I hadn't known before and it truly opened my eyes. It’s inspired me to read the Anne Frank diary — thank you so much to Max and the whole team! We weren't able to do the Anne Frank House tour this time due to timing, but I’m already looking forward to my next visit so I can experience that with you too!
The advertisement is deceiving. It appears that the walking tour would include tickets to the Anne Frank house. The disclaimer is at the very end in fine print!! I specifically came to Amsterdam with my grandchildren to see that & was not able to as there are no last minute tickets!! Very disappointed & upset with your company!!
Fantastic tour Max was very professional and a brilliant guide very knowledgeable and great fun Thanks
Malachi was great! Knowledgeable, good pace for a walking tour and he answered so many questions! We had a great experience and highly recommend this for those interested. It is stated elsewhere but be aware that this does NOT get you inside of the Anne Frank house. Despite this, our guide has great visual aides that helped us understand exactly what was there.
Excellent knowledgeable guide who took us through the streets while explaining the Nazi occupation of the city.
Excellent knowledge of the subject matter and a great overview of the time. Guide had excellent knowledge of the topic
The tour guide Max was excellent! And the tour was well detailed and enjoyable….but…IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TICKETS TO THE ANNE FRANK HOUSE! Beware, it is very very misleading.
Canceled our tour and did not inform us !! Arrived at our proper time, called as no one was to be seen. Was then told our tour was rescheduled to a new time that did not fit our schedule. Very unhappy. Hope to see my refund soon !!!!
We missed our tour. We called to reschedule and they did so easily but the tour guide never showed up. We called twice and emailed, and received no response. We offered to reschedule for a time two days from the original reservation and still no response. I would not schedule with this company.
The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great info shared, and took time to go at a nice pace without rushing.
You should write in Bold print that Anne Frank tickets must be purchased from them. Very disappointing!! Will not recommend or use Viator again. It is a ripoff! I was led to believe that I was buying Anne Frank house tickets!!fine print very misleading! Almost fraud!! Should get partial refund! Will give a bad review!!
Malache did a wonderful job on the tour and we loved it. Very informative and interesting. We would recommend it.
Not what I expected, but still a great experience. The tour did not go inside Anne Frank's house. But it took us through the streets and the history of her life. Tour guide was friendly and offered additional places to go.
Max gave a fantastic, educational and informational walking tour on the Jewish experience in Amsterdam before, during and after the war. His tour was insightful and thought-provoking. He answered all of our questions and asked good ones as well.
My wife and I got lucky as the only two people on this particular booking. Hence a two hour private tour expertly and warmly guided by Camilla - an Italian national but with excellent English and now as a local resident very knowledgeable on the subject. The whole experience was excellent being both educational and moving. It also works well as a tourist's guide to parts of the city but it is far more than just that. I highly recommend it. ( We even got a restaurant recommendation for Utrecht; our next destination. Thank you, Camilla, we went and enjoyed it) Richard. Stafford, UK.
The walking tour was very interesting and there was a lot more information than I had expected ! Different insight into the city.
It doesn’t start at the Anne Frank house. It’s starts at a nearby park and it did not say anything about where to meet until it was too late.
Great walking tour! Our guide G was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience really enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Not the tour that is advertised. Much abbreviated. Good guide but we were disappointed that no coverage as advertised
Iris was an excellent and informative guide. We learned a lot about how Jewish people were treated during WWII. We learned about Weiss Hofman in Amsterdam, who owned a bar and her heroism hiding an entire Jewish family during WWII. We learned about Ann Frank. She wanted to be an accomplished writer. She knew that was her gift. She met her goal by giving us an account of the daily struggles of being in hiding and living with her family and a dentist in a small, enclosed space. The ending was sad. I am thankful her diary was saved and shared with people all over the world.
Extremely interesting and useful information provided by the guide regarding the unfortunate kind of life of Anne Frank and her family had to endure during the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands.
We saw various sites connected to Anne Frank and the Jewish people around WWII. The guide showed pictures to reinforce the topic.
Our guide Eli has a lot of experience and knowledgeable on history of Amsterdam.
Very informative. This tour gives the color behind Anne Franks story as you tour the environs around the Anne Frank Housev. The perfect complement to a self guided tour of the Anne Frank House. Sierra was great.
Super informative and interesting. Our guide, Leo, was fantastic and highly knowledgeable, taking us to a few additional locations that I’d not have known about otherwise.
To make sure they have Caroline as their tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Anne Frank and WW2. She was very prepared with photos, even from her own family history.
Tristan was our tour guide. He was honestly amazing. We loved that not only did he share knowledge about Anne Frank, he gave us a splash of other noble people during WW2, pointed out little hidden gems that we can look for during the rest of our time here. Highly recommend!
Tristan was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Anne Frank and many other things about the city. Definitely recommend!
Caroline had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Nazi invasion and Jewish plight. She took her time and didn’t rush the tour. Well worth the 2 hours. Make sure you book the Anne Frank House tour IN ADVANCE…. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see inside of her house. Only downfall was the meeting place…. Bronze bull was difficult to find (small & hidden by people).
Iris the guide was very knowledgeable and quite friendly. She was early and mindful of people’s time.
Excellent tour with in-depth information. We were able to see and appreciate the lives of the people of Amsterdam.
My experience was wonderful. The tour was amazing she is very knowledgeable about the history of the town and Ann Frank. I truly recommend it
Gillhelm is a great and enthusiastic guide. Extremely knowledgeable. Would recommend. We enjoyed the tour very much+
