It was alright- would not recommend. I would recommend just going to see the Rembrandt museum

Once again, I searched for Rembrandt Museum and got this. Misleading advertisement on this tour. It's a lame presentation with no focal point and very confusing storyline.
Nice immersive experience which was different to the typical gallery/museum experience. I attended as a solo traveller and by chance was the only person in my time slot so I loved being able to take it all in on my own. I learned a lot. Also opted for the photo option, which was a little gimmicky but still a nice souvenir to take home.
Fun way to learn the history of a portion of Rembrandt’s life. Good for all ages.
Sounded like a fun but I was disappointed. It said 25 minutes but it felt like 10 minutes. Only 2 rooms and I was expecting more interactive experience. Found it expensive for what it offered.
Extremely disappointed, this is not a museum, it’s a rip off, insult to Rembrandt and Amsterdam tourism.
Go and see Rembrandt's House to see where and how he lived but go to the Rembrandt Experience to understand more of the person and his family. Really engaging audio-visual theatre, very accessible for all ages. Also get yourself a personal portrait by Rembrandt AI. Great fun and so memorable.
Great experience. Very kind guy. Definitely worth it. The way rooms are lit up is quite cool. Its not very big but nice tho. I suggest trying the ai photo at the counter haha.
This is a tiny bit hokey and short but if you want a brief funky slide show experience learning about Rembrandt then it's good.
Interesting but pretty limited. It’s also hard to know whether the paintings you are looking at are actually Rembrandt’s or not. I think most of them were not….??!
We found this to be a very informative experience. It is done in a way that makes it interesting and memorable.
Interesting and fun , watched and listened to the video in room 1 and then went to room 2 at the end selected out pic
A fascinating and interesting insight into the life of Rembrandt done in an educational and entertaining way. The Rembrandt portrait option at the end of the experience is really good, certainly not something we woukd normally buy into, but really couldn't resist it and there was no " hard sell". If you're interested in portraits or art and artists its definitely worth doing.
Rembrandt experience was well worth the visit. Use my "I amsterdam" card for entry. Good system for coats and lockers, audio available and staff more than helpful and friendly. The exhibition itself is very educational and well presented and laid out. Shop very reasonable for souvenirs.
Some of the reviews have not expressed how well done this program is. It was a great way to learn about Rembrandt and his family and times. The show is very well done. The staff were very nice and personable. Great !
It is a disappointing storytelling about Rembrandt. Waste of money for just 25 minutes. You won’t see anything from Rembrandt, it is just like a kind of tike machine that tells you a bit of history. I strongly recommend you to visit Rembrandt House, which is the original house where he lived and worked and has original work. But avoid this tourist trap at all cost despite the very kind and helpful staff members.
We thought this might be excited because of the 5D hype. But that was a joke. You basically sit in two rooms that are wall-to-wall video screens and listen to voice over narration about the artist. The seats rumble a little bit at one point but other than that it's strictly 2D. The AI generated Rembrandt portraits of yourself are kind of fun if you want to spend an extra 10 euros
Very disappointed! The advertisements let you beleave it was very special. Is wasn't. At the end we thought it was just the beginning.
This was a beautiful experience indeed, the museum was so captivating, and you can have an immersive guide with the toured version where they hand you the devices with explanation. The narrator is very clear and you can look into how these people used to live and how many of his portraits were made from how the paints are made to how sketches are done.
Loved it. I love history so getting to learnt about how rembrandt came to be was cool. They give you an audio machine which tells you about each of the rooms. One downside is there are a lot of steps so only go if you can go up. Also the audio gets confusing as the rooms don't align. Would go again as there is a lot of information to take in.
Fascinating insight into the life of Rembrandt. The museum takes on a journey of highs and lows but leaves you feeling nothing but admiration for this remarkable artist.
We enjoyed this immersive experience immensely. It was informative, fun and well put together. It wasn’t busy so we got to walk through each room just ourselves. The staff were friendly and fun.
Not anywhere like a true 5D experience. Short illustrated overview of the career of Rembrandt, the experience falls far short of what can be accomplished with modern AV technology. Disappointing is probably the operational word here. Best feature (that you don’t need to do the experience for) is to have a photograph of yourself turned into a Rembrandt painting. Maybe a bit on the touristy side but fun nonetheless.
Wonderfull experience! Really worth it. I prefer traditional type of the museum, but this one was really delightful. At the end you can get nice AI generated picture in style of Rembrandt's painting.
Actually, kind of stumbled upon this while we were in Amsterdam prior to our Rhine River cruise. We decided to check it out and found it to be very interesting and educational. We particularly liked the demonstrations. I would recommend this as an opportunity not only to learn about Rembrandt's life but to also understand the technology of painting masterpieces.
Don’t understand the high ratings. Perhaps this might be fun for those who know nothing about Rembrandt or art? but not for anyone who frequents art museums. Having just come from the Rijksmuseum looking at his paintings, i found it cheesy and a cheap way to make $$ off tourists. There were cheap electronic versions of his paintings with the subjects moving around which was just wrong somehow. Corners of the room revolved to make a different setting, like a very low budget theater. Best I can say is that the woman working there was nice.
Nothing was memorable. This was not worth the money. First it’s very difficult to find. And it was boring
Wonderful! Great for all ages. The experience is very well done. Would highly recommend and by all means, do the 16 th c. AI photo.
This so highly recommended!!! The visuals were awesome. The way of the story is unique, in a nice pace you get to know everything about how Rembrandt lived.
This was a somewhat entertaining introduction to the life of legendary Dutch artist Rembrandt. The story is told through a number of framed moving paintings and revolving walls. The technology does feel a little dated in this day & age but it was fairly enjoyable nonetheless. The extra dimensions were an aroma and a rumbling floor. Only two rooms make up this experience and it only lasts about 20 minutes.
It’s gorgeous and very inspiring. Informative and dramatic. The voice overs we’re realistic. If you want to experience this is a go to
Really good fun and actually learned a lot too I definitely recommend a visit. Next time I come to Amsterdam I’ll try the vip experience
Really great experience, cleverly done and so much information in a short period of time, the use of projection and audio great work 👌
Really takes u back hundreds of years with a deepdive to Rembrandts life and definetely recomment everyone to check this out!
Very fun experience and would highly recommend others to come. The visuals are amazing and also the audio. Very educational aswell
Awesome, unique and entertaining experience. I didn’t know much about Rembrandt previously, so it was wonderful to have this opportunity to get the key events of his life. Highly recommend.
I have traveled a lot and seen a lot. This really is one of the very best things I have seen so far!!! It’s made with the most modern technology, without being loud and garish. The technical possibilities of today were used to create and enhance the time travel experience. Made with so much love and thoughtfulness, this is a must see after visiting the Rijksmuseum. Absolut recommendation!
Our whole experience was unbelievable, the show was spectacular and unexpected. We felt the 5d at its finest, the staff was kind and friendly to us.
We had a nice little intro into Rembrandt! 25 minutes and a good way to kill time. Children may enjoy but might not understand.
We stumbled upon this experience a few hours after going to the Rijksmuseum and seeing Rembrandt’s paintings in person. It was a great way to learn more about the artist, in a fully immersive experience.
Very innovative and captivating show! We attended here as a couple, the ambient , dynamic decorations and some background history about the life, the character himself and the city was helping!
Great experience of Rembrandt’s art work and life experience. Really enjoyed it with kids and family.
The show was amazing! The manager Pietro was very helpful and explained Rembrandt’s history and introduced us to the show. A great way to learn and also a visually stimulating experience. Worth the time and money.
very cute and informative show. Amazing service and helpful staff. Interesting use of smells and movement as well as live acting.
Great experience, you really learn about Rembrandt’s life. It is really immersive, and Rembrandt’s art is really inspiring.
It exceeded our expectations. Time flew and it was over before we knew it. There is so much to see, hear and feel. Lots of suprises and special effects. It was a lovely experience and we would recommend it. Go and see it!
It was a very nice experience. The 5d experience was super cool. The story was clear and because it was only 25 minutes it was just right. You will be accompanied to the other room by a very nice young man who will tell you more about Rembrandt. definitely recommended to go
Exceptionally well-made exhibit, where you learn about Rembrandt and his art from a different point of view. Beautiful visuals paired with fantastic music… it really felt difficult to “go back to 2023”. Absolutely recommend!
It was amazing and I really liked how the sound was all around you. I would recommend it for sure!! I learned so much
It was really nice, learned a lot more in the time! Its a fun idea what they have done. It was something new for me and nice!
