This tour was so great, peter was our driver and he did an amazing job, he told us about the history of the sights, time went by effortlessly due to his way of carrying us all along, he knew when to shut up and allow us enjoy too. He's also funny, informative, gave us the info we needed and was open to questions as well. The tour itself was well spaced, you go on the boat for an hour then free time after which you can use to explore on your own, you're given a map as well to go around the village with. The boat tour was also really interesting and my partner and enjoyed it, free tip (sit near the front of the boat if you can or on the left side-the side leaning on the docks.) Felt bad I couldn't tip peter afterwards as we didn't have cash, maybe he should get the qr code tip links so people can do so. Thank you for a great day peter.

Tour from Amsterdam to Giethoorn by luxury coach
Flevolabd is a province of the central Netherlands, created in 1986 on land reclaimed from the IJsselmeer ; entirely below sea level.
Giethoorn is a cute Dutch village in the Netherlands. There are no roads in the village center. So, instead of using cars and roads, the locals and tourists of Giethoorn village use mostly waterways to transport themselves in Giethoorn village. Therefore, a comparison with the Italian Venice is often quickly made. Just like in real Venice, you do almost everything here by boat. A boat tour is included in your. You've plenty of time to discover Giethoorn on your won.
60 minutes boat tour through the canals of Giethoorn by an authentic Giethoorn boat with live commentary.

Cute town with Canal boat ride and charming town with shops and restaurant. Enjoyed a fish and chips lunch (extra)
The driver was very friendly and told us a lot of things. We had plenty of time to walk and look around on our own as well as be with the group.
Peter was an amazing driver who told us so much about the Netherlands on the lengthy drive to Giethoorn. Very nice coach bus and lots of people took advantage of a comfortable nap. We visited on Oct 31 and it was not busy at all and a very enjoyable experience. Very nice day trip.
You may want to bring a powerpack sp your phone doesn't die. You'll want to take a bunch of pics and videos.
Even though it rained off and on all day, this was such a wonderful experience. The ride out was relaxing and scenic. Our guide was excellent and so kind and his educational narration and cadence made it that much enjoyable. Geithorn is absolutely beautiful and such a gem. We also had a Wonderful lunch at a tavern there. The bus was very comfy and clean as well. 10/10 would do this again.
Amazing place, staff so helpful, coach was so comfortable
Maarten was a great guide. The drive was interesting and it was a lovely break from the busy city fun. Nice to learn a little more about agriculture and energy production in the country. The village is really pretty.
Geithoorn is beyond beautiful. The 4 hours we spent there was truly magical. The beauty of the place is enchanting. And we loved the driver. He was courteous, polite and caring. He took care of us really well.
The bus trip to and from Giethoorn was 2 hrs on motorways so not eventful. No need to get the front seat at all. The cruise was one hour around the beautiful old town and was well worth it especially if you have a comedic captain. We then had nearly 3 hours to have lunch and wander around which was plenty. So many photos taken as this place is well worth the visit.
Good trip but the 2 small boats used for the canal trips were very cramped, should have provided 3 boats as double decker bus was completely full
The bus actually takes 2 hours there. Not 1.5 like the advertisement. ( That would have mattered for me as the whole trip was 8 hours) Making half the trip on the bus. It was a beautiful place but given the choice I would have picked a tour that stayed longer than 3 hr 45 min , one hour of it was an included boat ride which was stunning.
Wonderful little getaway!! The only problem was late people getting back to the bus!!! Be on time!!! Not the driver Eric’s fault!
Gilbert was the best guide I’ve had in my life! Funny, kind, careful, helpful. The bus rides were educational and fun. Thank you
Wonderful time! A must do Lovely drive from Amsterdam
Excellent day trip hosted by hop on & hop off This is Holland. Friendly guide & Driver for the return trip from Amsterdam. Despite the bus had some over heated issue on our return journey that ww had to wait for nearly an hour for the emergency bus to bring us back. The driver was very informative and took care of everyone while waiting. He got someone from Giethroon to bring some ice lollies due to the hot weather. We all returned safely by the end of the day.
Gilbert knocked it out of the park as we say in the USA. Delightful, knowledgeable, funny and professional. We was not only our driver but also the guide. He was amazing! Giethoorn is gorgeous, quaint and should not be missed.
Definitely book it. It was a wonderful tour, very well organised. Peter our coach driver was adorable, very kind, friendly and an amazing tour guide, very interesting with a great sense of humour, very clean and comfortable coach. The guide on the boat was also very kind and funny and the village was beautiful. The food at De Rietstulp Restaurant was lovely, friendly staff and clean rest rooms, 10% off with your bus ticket. Sampled lots of delicious cheese at the Henri Willig cheese shop and bought some to take back to England with a 10% discount given to you when collecting your tickets. A lovely finish on our last day of our stay in Amsterdam.
The town itself was phenomenal! Absolutely gorgeous. The drive is about 2 hours long, then a 60 minute boat tour, then about 2.5 hours to grab lunch and explore the city. Definitely make sure you go into the church and make a peace bird! We learned a lot about the history of the Netherlands and Giethoorn.
We enjoyed this tour very much. Our bus driver/guide was very courteous. He was very punctual. We had plenty of time to walk around on our own in this beautiful town of Giethoorn. We took lots of photos.
Really Nice Trip, Tour Co-ordinate was really friendly and cooperative. Really helpful. Really Nice Trip, Tour Co-ordinate was really friendly and cooperative.
Great organised trip. Beautiful place to visit stunning and lots to do Guide was knowledgeable and helpful
The guider well organized the group and good explanation speech. The Travel time duration is appropriate.
The day trip to Geithoorn was delightful. The bus driver was excellent and very knowledgeable. The canal boat ride was beautiful. We had plenty of time to walk around.
The trip was ok, the boat was not what is shown on the picture. It was raining all day long and no change was made by the tour company. We didn’t need 3 hours of free time under such weather.
The bus driver/tour guide was fantastic! Provided much detail about giethoorn and amsterdam. Giethoorn was well worth the visit. Adorable town!
The captain of the for the canal boat is very knowledgable. The canal boat tour shows the best scenery of Giethoorn including the areas that cant be reached or even viewed on foot. Giethoorn is small but charming village. It definitely worth a visit. The tour operator is very efficient in answers questions regarding the tour. It would have been perfect if the bus driver could provide some background or introduction on Flevoland Province, which I assume we just drive through.
Giethoorn is lovely. It is well kept much more than the rest of Holland that looks shabby and unkept. The bus driver Peter was so nice and gave us a lot of information
I was disappointed in this experience. It was raining and maybe I was expecting too much. Guide was less than enthusiastic. Wasn't as scenic as I imagined and therefore took very few photos. I've spent a fair amount of time on the Scottish canals which are spectacular....so again, my expectations were probably too high. I would recommend it for anyone new to canal cruising. You will see some very picturesque homes and gardens!
Tour guide was super helpful and shared lots of interesting knowledge. Very well organized tour. Easy drive up from Amsterdam and good way to spend a day in the Netherlands.
1) The comfortable bus ride 2) The boat tour around Giethoorn/ great guide 3) Helpful bus driver 4) The Appletaart
Great experience! The country is very particular and fascinating. The guide was very clear in the explanation and respected the timetable. Highly recommended
The trip went well but, on arrival, the driver pointed out the presence of the toilets, we went in six and, on the return to the bus, the group had already moved and boarded for the ride to Giethoorn. Thanks to the help of the parking attendant we were then able to catch another boat after 45 minutes. On the way back, however, on the ticket it was written to meet us in front of the restaurant located opposite the boarding and, instead, asking the boat attendants, they told us to go directly to the bus. Luckily we asked! On arrival at the bus the driver did not even apologize. Everything normal so... low mark to the organization, beautiful village.
Punctuality, easy to reach, good driver's guide and beautiful place of peace... green and fairytale!
Lovely place with friendly and professional guide. Clear and precise explanations with fairytale landscapes.
Nice village with cool impressions. But it's totally overflowing and has something of Disneyland. I can't believe what people think they have to take a boat. Like driving an autodrome. Every moment kleschts and tscheperts somewhere
Il posto è molto bello, consiglio d visitarlo. Autista co ha fatto anche da guida, spiegando mentre eravamo in viaggio
