Amsterdam: Exclusive 3-course Dinner Canal Cruise

It was first class all the way! White tablecloths, China, silverware. The entire experience was excellent! Crew did an excellent job! As of to no fault of the crew, the restaurant made a mistake with the desserts. Even though it was not the crew’s fault, they compensated our drinks for the night! First class service all the way!

The hosts were terrific. Stephen, Juliana, and JJ. Extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding as was the service. The boat was extremely comfortable.

We had a great time on this cruise. I'm glad that we went in the early evening so we saw the canals at sunset and as lights came on. It was easy to find the meeting point and a glass of bubbly was served as we took our seats. I was pleasantly surprised that it was one of the smaller canal boats with only 5 tables, there were 5 couples on board. It suits couples ideally, and it felt very special. The waiter was very attentive and our food was superb. Again I didn't know what to expect. We were served our choice of freshly cooked food which was brought on board directly from La Hollandaise restaurant, where the boat docked briefly to pick it up. We toured canals and the River Amstel for 2 hours and arrived back at the meeting point. It was definitely value for money as far as we were concerned and everyone on board was enjoyed the cruise and the food.

A small boat cruise on a beautifully restored 14 passenger boat attentive and knowledgable crew. Amazing 3 course meal floating on the canal. The boat pulled up to a dock in front of the restaurant and the owner /chef came out with the amazing meal explaining each dish!

It was a wonderful evening. The food was excellent and the wine choices were very nice. The ambience was very inviting and relaxing. Above all, Tom and Jörn were excellent hosts. We very much recommend this dinner cruise.

they did not show up at the pier and gave up waiting but i got an e mail asking if i enjowed the trip!! one way or another vi will get a refund

Great sunset experience, watching the evening light up over the canals. Dinner was picked up canal side and chef came on board to describe meal. Enjoyable and unique dinner that I would highly recommend.

This was such an amazing experience.The boat is beautiful, the food was amazing and the host was perfectly charming!!! I have been on many boat cruises and the food is of buffet quality but this was top chef quality!

This was an excellent cruise! I am gluten intolerant and expected a mediocre dish. Instead, we were presented with a 3-course menu, with choices for each course. And, it could be modified for my gluten allergy! The food was excellent, some of the best we have had in Amsterdam. We had a leisurely tour of Amsterdam enjoying the food and wine. It was an outstanding value! We highly recommend this.

I was surprised this turned out to be the highlight of my visit to Amsterdam! I was a bit worried because I often get motion sickness but thankfully the water was smooth. Even more amazing than that was the food! The food was absolutely amazing. I wish they would leave business cards of the restaurant that catered the food so I could have visited again!

So disappointing and a huge let down. Apparently the boat we were to go on had broken down so we had a replacement one. There were four couples squashed into a very small boat, so small the waiter had to clamber behind tables to serve you. There was no sink at the toilet so wet wipes were issued.breaking all H&S procedures. There was no proper lighting on board so you were eating your food in the dark. We were given no compensation and had to pay for our bottle of wine in full. Neither the waiter or Captain spoke a great deal. There were just plastic zip down windows so you couldn’t see out properly rather than the very nice looking glass windows on the boats you can see in the adverts! All in all a huge rip off…we did complain to the waiter who said he’d told the company the boat wasn’t suitable. My partners written an e mail to the company so we look forward to a refund!

The boat ride and food were great. We were told that the tour operator informed you that the embarkation location had changed and Viator did not inform me. I contacted the tour operator and they came for us.

Beautiful boat. Stephen, the captain, was friendly, as was Sam, the server/bartender. The food was delicious, absolutely delicious. Do not pass this up!

This was the best canal cruise we had. It was romantic the food was wonderful. White tablecloths beautiful silver and crystal. Wine, drinks and beer included. The boat is beautiful, 100 years old and in great shape. Overall I highly recommend this cruise

What a great way to experience Amsterdam! The food was a 10/10 ! The food came from a local restaurant, and the Chef came over to explain the dishes! I would highly recommend this experience!! I thought this would also be a tour or someone would explain some of the sights , and that wasn’t the case but even still, the experience was great!

A super experience, a great dinner on a beautiful “sedan” boat (called this per the Captain). Started with prosecco and appetizers, then stopped for first and second courses delivered hot from a restaurant, including meeting the chef. Purchased very good dinner wines aboard for a fair price, poured by lovely young lady servers, while cruising leisurely to the turn around point and back to the restaurant pier for dessert, again delivered by the chef. All in all a class act! We would do this again!

The cruise itself was fa tasting. Food was excellent ,as were the views. There was no tour, just cruising and dinner. Service was fantastic. The pickup spot had no signage, so we were worried we were not in the correct spot.

Relaxing evening with a nice canal cruise and dinner. The food was excellent and the staff was helpful. Nice for a romantic night out. The vessel seats about 24 ppl so it's an intimate gathering.

Great overall experience. Scenery was amazing on the canals, especially at night with the lights of the city. Worth the trip itself. Server was knowledgeable and very friendly. She went out of her way to meet our needs. Food and presentation were very nice, but were not outstanding. Attractive in appearance, but didn’t appeal to our tastes.

Wonderful relaxing cruise with excellent meal. Great value for the money

Rom the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the captain and host. We got assisstance on board , given a welcome drink and escorted to our seats. There was not a lot of us . Maybe, 6 or 8 couples, which made it nice and intimate. Everything was explained to us, stips to collect our starters then our mains with desserts and we set off. Food was beYond delicious. That artichoke and goats cheese salad, was the best salad I ever had. I am a travelling foodie. My main was seabass and risotto. It was delicious, I usually hate risotto as thr texture can be mushy, but this was out of this world and the seabass with crispy skin. I didn"t want the meal to end. We had poached pair and mascarpone. The food was great. They didnt have any lemonade or sods. Which I like with white wine. However, they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Enjoyable cruise, Even in heavy rain. This is a must

Every aspect of this trip was brilliant. Booking process and information about the meeting point were easy. The seating on the boat for an intimate dinner was perfect. Choosing from the menu and then having the food freshly made and brought to the boat was very efficient. The food was excellent as was the wine, with an impressive ambience of Amsterdam seen from the water. Our host Juliana and Jackie were attentive and the skipper Stephen was outstanding. I could go on !

This was a really good time to spend a couple of hours exploring the Amsterdam canals and waterways and the food supplied during the experience was absolutely fantastic!

The cruise itself was delightful. We went all up and down the Amstel river and several canals for over two hours enjoying views of the city we could not otherwise have done. The service on board was excellent. However, we sweltered under the stifling glass covering with very little ventilation. The food was mostly pretty good but the beef on the main course had a lot of gristle in it, it seemed to me to be a cheap cut like london broil. But the worst thing was that despite the quite expensive fee for the experience, they still charged extra for all the beverages, even plain water! You'd think that for the hefty price, you would have at least been given a bottle of water to drink. I can understand charging extra for alcohol, but water?!?! And coffee and tea!?!? Not good. I would recommend this experience but a) don't go on a warm evening, b) don't order the beef, and c) be prepared to spend extra if you want to quench your thirst.

Boat was exceptional, fresh flowers, amazing food and hosts were wonderful. Highly recommend! We were blown away!

The Canal Dinner Cruise did not show up at the meeting point that was advertised. Unfortunately I can’t rate this trip because I wasn’t picked up.

The canal cruise and dinner were very good. The service and staff were friendly. It would have been nice to have some narration of the sites around us as we cruised. The communication regarding the pick up time and location change left room for much improvement. The email titled 7pm dinner cruise, read 7:30 start time in the details. It was very confusing.

This was a great tour. The boat was lovely, the welcome was warm and the boat departed on time. The food is sourced from a local restaurant and prepared freshly after you order - the boat then briefly stops to pick up first the starter and secondly the main course and pudding. The quality of the food was absolutely excellent, far exceeding my expectations. The drinks on board were good and reasonably priced. It was a great way to spend the evening with the family - great views, great meal and friendly hosts.

This was the highlight of our Amsterdam trip! Great food, crew, and passengers (other than the guest who was on her phone for the entire 3 hours)

The dinner cruise was excellent, the food was superb, the service from Kirsten was first class and the skipper gave enough commentary to point out the highlights but not in an intrusive way. Unfortunately, because we booked late our booking was not transferred from Viator to the company to the boat so we were not on the guest list. There was then a tense wait while it was sorted and we were left standing on the quayside while the other guests were drinking complementary sparkling wine inside, despite there being a vacant table and no other guests had arrived. In the end it was all sorted but we were left disappointed with either Viator or the company (never got a credible explanation) but we were certainly not disappointed with the actual event.

It was such a lovely experience really nice staff and gorgeous restaurant food was served! Highly recommend
