I expected more. Basically it felt like walking around in an expensive shop. With the audio guide I heard a few interesting fact, but other than that it was nothing what I expected.

Itinerary
Over 45 minutes, you move through the experience at a natural pace. No rushing. Watch diamonds being polished live. You'll stand close enough to see the wheel spin and the stone take shape. The diamond experts explain what they're doing as they work, so you leave understanding what actually happens inside a cutting house. Learn the 4 C's properly: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat explained in a way that actually sticks. By the end, you'll be able to look at a diamond and know what you're looking at. Get up close with legendary stones. You'll see a replica of the Cullinan (3,106 carats, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found) and the Koh-i-Noor, repolished under commission from Queen Victoria. You'll also be introduced to the Royal 201, Royal Coster's exclusive cut and the most brilliant round-cut natural diamond in the world. Step into a private showroom. The experience ends with a personal diamond presentation, a chance to see and handle stones, ask questions, and take your time. No prior knowledge needed. The storytelling is engaging for first-timers and genuinely interesting for anyone who thought they already knew diamonds.

Very efficient tour. Sang was very helpful and went to extra efforts to make sure everything was perfect for our visit.
An absolutely wonderful experience! 💎 We were impressed not only by the beauty of the diamonds but also by the professionalism, kindness, and passion of the Vietnamese gentleman who presented them to us. He explained everything so beautifully, with great patience and enthusiasm, making the entire visit truly special and memorable. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the outstanding presentation! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! ✨
Very nyce presentation made by Sam.
My tour was amazing! Loved the care and experience given to us by Van Dang! She is great and very knowledgeable. Funny too lol. Request her if you are visiting, you won’t regret it!
Clare was a fountain of information about Van Gogh, providing colorful explanations of his life and artwork.
Amazing experience and very informative! Angela was very helpful and really made the experience.
Wonderfully informative and educational. Beautiful facility.
Pauline & Fabian were absolutely amazing & so helpful. Make out so enjoyable & informative. Thank you!
My husband and I signed up for the Diamond Experience tour while we were in Amsterdam. It far exceeded our expectations and we learned quite a bit. We met the diamond polisher who holds the Guinness Book of Records for the smallest faceted diamond. We also received an insightful education about faceted diamonds and the difference between natural and lab-grown diamonds. Our tour guide, Anas, couldn't have been more generous with his time and answered the multitude of questions we had. He was an outstanding representative for Royal Coster Diamonds.
The guided tour was very informative. Patricia was very knowledgeable, pleasant and very patient.
The tour was a good adittion to the experience
We have done diamond tours in the past but the Royal Coster Experience was by far the best! The attention given to us by Angela was so personal and the knowledge she has for their beautiful stones and the deep company history was amazing. We were so impressed that we bought 2 stones and my new heirloom ring looks fantastic!!
Great because of Pauline and Fabian … because of their kindness I had so much fun and learn à lot
Linda and Anar were very accommodating and charming 10/10
Amazing time, very informative
We went in for the diamond tour which was nice, mainly to learn on the basics of diamonds for when we went engagement ring shopping back in New York. As we were leaving, we met Lydia, a spanish guide who made us feel really comfortable, made 2 back to back meeting with us and ultimately we bought our engagement ring that same day. If you speak spanish definitely ask for her on the tour or on your shopping needs.
Very informative tour with Monike who has worked here for 30 years. Fascinating to meet Pauline who is in the 1997 Guiness Book of Records for cutting the smallest diamond in the world. Recommended time for the tour is 30 mins but could easily spend much longer walking around looking at the showcases & there are 2 rooms upstairs with video that we didn’t have time to watch even though we were here for 1 1/4 hours. If it was busy then maybe it would be quicker. Thank you Monike.
Fabulous tour, so interesting, Pauline even cleaned my engagement ring, and brought it back to its original sparkling self
Pauline talked us through the process and was so passionate and knowledgeable. A pleasure to meet her ❤️
Pauline was amazing explaining everything and took so much time. One of my best experiences in Amsterdam. I recommend this very strongly!
Best experience ever stay in my heart forever💎 The guide 10+
good experience and get knowledge with Linda.
Good experience a lot of knowledge from our guide Linda
Best diamond experience with Linda. She explain about the process and product excellently.
Very good experience looking at how diamonds are made
Pauline Willemse was there and she gave a very detailed explanation of the diamond and the story. Very lovely and also, super nice to see someone with that much passion to their craft
Amazing experience at the diamond factory, Pauline explained a lot about diamond polishing, she s so devoted. Great tour!
Sang was an excellent guide, very informative and my Nephew and I learned a lot about the history of diamonds in the Netherlands.
Anas was a wonderful informative non pressuring guide which has meant I am planning to return in the future with my husband to purchase and make changes to current jewellery. I will highly recommend this tour (i think i selected the right one above). The only thing that didnt go smoothly was our check in for the tour on arrival and we receuved a call 15-30mins after leaving RC asking if we were still intending to attend and saying we were late for out 10am slot which we had already been on time for and completed.
Really over expectations, the visit, the explanations and so on. Simone had a lot of empaty and he was really a PRO. Finding someboby with your mother language is surely ad added value.
We booked the Diamond Experience Tour at Royal Coster Diamonds for Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm and paid €19 per person in advance. Unfortunately, our visit got off to a very disappointing start. Although we had a valid reservation and arrived around 10 minutes before the tour was due to begin, the staff at the entrance could not find our booking. Despite showing our booking confirmation, we had to spend a considerable amount of time discussing the issue. The employee even took a photo of our booking confirmation with his personal phone before finally allowing us to enter. What was even more disappointing was the tour itself. The experience was scheduled to last until 5:15 pm, but at 5:00 pm we were told that the building was closing and that we had to leave. As a result, we were unable to complete the full tour we had paid for. The tour itself was also extremely underwhelming. At €19 per person, we expected far more. It was very short, contained only limited information, and offered little real value. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is very poor—the Diamond Experience is simply not worth €19. We had expected a professional and well-organized experience from such a renowned company. Instead, we encountered poor organization and felt that the service we had paid for was not fully delivered. For these reasons, we cannot recommend the Diamond Experience and would certainly not book it again. We will not recommend it to our friends or family either and would advise other visitors to look for a better alternative.
Great activity for something different to do. Enjoyed it very and Patricia was very delightful. I love their special cut.
We had a great guy accompanying us, we had a short introduction downstairs and then spend time looking at diamonds in the room - all range of them. Really impressive! Our guide was very pleasant, offered things but didn’t press on anybody to buy. Just how it should be! Thanks!
My mother and I went in for the free tour after visiting the Van Gogh museum. It was cool learning a bit about diamonds and how they’re cut, but the most exciting part for me was when we were brought to the gallery where they sell their beautiful jewelry. We were greeted by a friendly woman named Naree. She told us we could try on anything we wanted, even though she knew we couldn’t afford to buy any of it. So I tried on a few of their beautiful pieces, including a necklace that cost about €80,000. It was so fun. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes beautiful jewelry.
Great tour of Sang. He is a good guide for the Royal Diamond Experience. We were able to view all the different grinding shapes, including the Royal 201, in a private room. I also bought the engagement ring at Sang; he helped me very well and my fiancé is incredibly happy!
Today we participated in the tour with guide Sang. It was really wonderful to see how passionately he talks about diamonds and he gave us a lot of explanation about the different Cs. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Anas, thank you, that is really kind and we learned a lot of things.
Educational, interesting, and... brilliant guide
Very good experience Pauline is very good at explaining
Pauline is an exceptional worker, good presentation and good treatment of customers
Interesting small museum about the diamond cutting process. Pauline explained the individual steps to us in great detail.
Simone is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Our guide Carin was super nice and told us many interesting stories about diamonds. In the showroom with the diamonds, it was totally great to see the diamonds sparkle.
Super fun, clear and engaging.
Pauline was very friendly to us and she explained everything to us very precisely and answered many questions for us.
Truly fantastic experience at the Diamond Experience in Amsterdam! 💎 An interesting, engaging, and very professionally organized tour, but what really made the difference was Simone Pilla: a knowledgeable, helpful person, and above all, capable of conveying passion for his work. Simone accompanied us during the experience, giving us special attention and making us feel like more than just visitors. He knew how to make the tour pleasant, interesting, and full of information, always answering our questions with great helpfulness. An experience that I absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam who wants to discover the world of diamonds in a different and engaging way. A special thanks to Simone Pilla: professionalism, friendliness, and customer service at the highest level. Compliments! 💎👏
We were welcomed very warmly by Justus, who spoke perfect German. He told us very exciting stories about diamond cutting and the various quality criteria and patiently answered all questions. We were allowed to admire some real stones and watch the diamond cutters at work. The tour was an absolute highlight of our stay in Amsterdam!
