Amsterdam: Bruges Day Trip With Boat & Beer Options

It was a great experience! Our guides were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of helpful suggestions. They shared so much interesting information and really helped us understand what life was like back then. They also pointed out landmarks to make sure we didn’t get lost and gave us tips on where to find authentic chocolate shops and great places to eat. They even whispered insider shopping tips and what to look out for! Our driver and Adrian our tour guide was especially funny and made the trip even more enjoyable.

recently took a tour to Bruges and had a wonderful experience. Our tour operator, Blanca, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly. Michael, our driver, was professional and got us to and from our destination safely and on time. The tour was well-organized and punctual, which I really appreciated. The only thing I wish is that we had a bit more time to explore Bruges on our own—there’s so much to see! But overall, it was a great tour and a very good value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and enjoyable day trip.

This is a scam trip. Please do not book through Buendia tours. They will give you radios that don't work. Their customer service sucks and then they have guides who can't speak English properly. Preference is only given to people who are natives. The destination was about 1.5 hrs away from the city, They left us in Ghent and did not bother calling me. The icing on the cake is the next day when I called them, to return my belongings, they said someone would come to Aloha bowling center in Amsterdam to return, after waiting for 1 hour and plenty calls, I learnt nobody was coming. I followed up again and they said they found nothing in the bus. These guys are running a scam and not a tour guide operations. I strongly recommend do Not book your tour with Buendia. Pathetic and terrible.

Do NOT book with this company! Absolutely horrible experience. We were stopped for 2+ hours by customs officers because our driver lacked the necessary paperwork to operate the bus. As a result, our time is Bruges was cut in half! We had almost no time to see anything at all. Bus tour guide (female, she never told us her name) was very rude to English-speaking guests and would not give us any information about what was going on. We were delayed a considerable amount of time with no food or drink. They eventually moved us to a different bus with a toilet that was out of order. Totally unprofessional company. We wasted an entire day of our vacation on this awful experience. They also left us as a different drop-off location from the pick-up, and we had to find our way back to our hotel on our own, in the rain, at 10 p.m. at night with no phone service (no chargers on the bus and we were at 0 percent after this 14+ hour disaster of a trip.) Terrible does not begin to describe.

We booked the 12 hours trip to Bruges from Amsterdam through a travel agent who used BUENDIA TOURS. The tour takes about 3 hours to reach Bruges. In the bus, we had a guide who spoke so much in Spanish which we could not follow. He did not even ask if all understood Spanish. Then when we asked him he just said 2 lines to explain what all he spoke for nearly 15 min in Spanish. Next when we reached Bruges, there another English guide joined us along with other travelers now this was a sizeable crowd of english speaking people. But the guide was so bad in English that we could hardly follow what he was talking. After some rambling he left us at a central place. The moment he said bye, no one stopped or even looked back (everyone was so disappointed that we got nothing for this trip). And then after sometime we gather to go back for the 3 hour trip back. We got to know nothing about the place or its value because someone decided to use a guide who was just rambling. I am sure the place is good but with less knowledge of what is what it was not interesting at all.

Our guide Manuel and bus driver Edel were amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable! It was a great experience and recommend it 100%. Bruges was incredible and made even better with Manuel's facts about the city. Do not miss this tour once in Amsterdam.

I went to the guide Ariel to ask for radio with headphones because we were a group of 14 Spanish speakers. He arrogantly replied that it was not necessary and that if I did not agree that he left a review therefore here I am leaving it. Our guide Patricia was going a little fast, we found it stressful because she was dressed in gray and black and sometimes it was difficult to locate her. On return it takes 20' to get from the center of Bruges to the bus, you must orient yourself with your mobile in hand. At the end of the tour tips are requested at will.

Gia Sebastian gave us a good explanation of the place as well as recommendations on where to buy, everything was very good, he gave us an explanation in Spanish and English.

The worst experience of our lives, since they left my 68-year-old mother and I stranded when it came time to return for delaying us by only 5 minutes and being warned and having confirmation that they were notifying of the delay since we were only a few meters from the destination and in the morning we were waiting for more than 15 minutes for other passengers, according to them out of courtesy and where is the courtesy when they return??? When we arrived at the meeting point they were not there, but the worst thing is that we had to take a train (which was already the last of the day) to return to Amsterdam from Bruges with several transfers, lasting 5 hours and at a very high price. To make matters worse, they take no responsibility for anything and tell you that they left at a time that is not real and that they were waiting for us, WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. I have evidence that justifies that at the time they indicate they were no longer there and they are very aware of this. I would understand that they left if more time had passed, but the return time was 5:30 p.m. and at 5:35 p.m. we were at the destination and they were aware of our arrival at 17:35 because I have WhatsApp that corroborates it, and witnesses the time of our arrival. We really feel very bad for the treatment received, since there is no justification for doing what they did. I hope the same thing happens to no one again because it has truly been a very unpleasant experience and one of the worst of our lives.

It was good but it lacked more tour, more history, a better chocolate guide and the plaza lacked better advice on food

I had read other people's opinions that this walk/excursion was not worth it. And it really is like that; It is mere transportation. Once you arrive, there isn't much for the guide to provide.

Fue un gran viaje y lo disfrutamos mucho. Sin embargo, nos hubiera gustado que la excursión estuviera más descrita en la página (p. ej. el tiempo de transporte, la parada a mitad de camino, etc.).

Once in Bruges the experience was very pleasant because it seems a short time to see the city so it takes time to arrive, but you are taught everything scheduled and you have free time to enjoy the city

Well, sadly because of the transport system from Amsterdam we couldn't travel and make the journey and we lost it.

Respecto a la guía no tenemos ningún problema pero creemos que no concuerda la descripción del viaje con su realización. En primer lugar las horas de viaje, en la web indica que son unas 3 horas de ida y 3 de vuelta y en realidad fueron casi 4 horas y media. Y en segundo lugar la cata de chocolate que no es mas allá que probar un pequeño trozo de chocolate en una tienda. Creemos que estos puntos son contraproducentes para su recomendación.

Me encantó este tour. ! Vale la pena. Es muy cumplido con sus horarios. El bus perfecto. Lo recomiendo y llevar zapatos comodos.

Me encanto. Nuestro guía en español, Eduardo muy amable e informado de cada uno de los detalles históricos que rodeada a ese mágico lugar. La recogida y el regreso a tiempo, en un bus impecable.

La visita fue buena, el lugar maravilloso, lo que si, el viaje es a las 8:00 y se llega a las 12:00 para luego partir a las 17:00, si descontamos las 2 horas del guia no queda mucho por hacer. Por otro lado te ofrecen una cata de chocolates lo que es mentira.

I found the tour with Clara pleasant. After the tour he gave us about 3 hours to tour witches by our means. Any doubt you have, it helps you solve it!.

I traveled to Amsterdam 5 days and did 3 activities with Buendía tours, one was the historic free tour with Cristina, a super friendly and friendly guide, the second was through the villages with Paula and the last to Bruges with Alberto, the truth was that they were very enjoyable excursions, where I learned and discovered much beyond the aesthetics of the place. All very well organized and also with visits to different factories, such as cheese, chocolate or clogs where you are shown with the product is made and then you can try them. At the end of each excursion you are asked what has appeared and also advised places to eat or visit.

Excellent excursion. We went with clear, a fantastic guide, which showed us many important sites in the city and gave us recommendations of all kinds to enjoy your free time in the city. Recommended 100%.

One of the best destinations in Europe. You feel like you entered another era but with the best standards today

The best decision was to go to Bruges with Buendía Tours. They are punctual, respectful, fun, experts to the point that we take another tour with them and to return to Amsterdam we will definitely walk with them again. They are the best!!!

Unfortunate the treatment that Buendía Tours gave us, in what we believed a pleasant trip to Bruges. Walking from the bus, on 09/12/2020 we are told that we do not have a place in it; despite having booked and paid for this excursion. The Buendía Tours Enterprise was unable to recognize its mistake and solve it. They left 4 people without their trip.

We were very much looking forward to seeing witches, and certainly did not disappoint, our guide Carmen sees that she loves her work and told us in detail the story of witches which makes you see it in a different way and understanding a little the history of the beautiful place. In our spare time we had time for everything we planned to do: brewery, boat trips along the canal, tasting waffles and chocolates... The only catch would be the 3 hours by bus but the truth is very comfortable and on top of that it had bathroom! Very pleasant the way with our guides quite a charm.

The only 'bad' thing we can say is three hours out and three hours back by bus to Amsterdam. Also the dates when we have gone that nightfall too soon and we could not be enjoying the city any longer, and the cold. On the part of our guide Nuria genial, you see that she loves and lives her work, she explains a lot of curious things and the history of this beautiful city, they see things differently when they tell you this type of thing.

Our driver Hans and guide Tomas have done an excellent job. Very punctual in both departure and arrival; and friendly. Witches beautiful, pity it's getting short time. Fully recommended.

The guides, Ari and Carmen, very professional, rating that they love what they do. On time, they give many explanations, are very attentive to the group and clarify any questions asked. The coach very comfortable, even has toilet, does not make the 3 hour journey heavy. I recommend it.

Carmen gave us the witch tour, excellent as each piece of history related. It would be good if the recess lasted longer since there is so much to see in Bruges, that time passes very quickly!

Fantastic day. Our guide Alberto was great, explained each corner in a fun and entertaining way. Besides recommending places to eat and make a beer tasting. We would repeat 100% that day.

The guides, Paula and Alberto could not be better. Attentive, pleasant... We were taught the most emblematic points of the city of Bruges, recommending where to eat and taste beer. We already had a Free Tour with Alberto, and although he could not leave the Tour, he told us some key points and so we handled ourselves very well.
