The Heineken tour was great. When finished there, the staff had no information of where to get the boat tour. We walked across the street to a Blue boat and the lady locked the door. There was not an address to go to and no help. We walked at least a mile down the street to the Hard Rock where we found another blue boat that had left. We never did the boat cruise. It was a miserable experience. I called the blue boat number provided and was told they couldn’t help me I will never book another adventure again

The Westerkerk was built between 1620 and 1631 in Renaissance style according to designs by architect Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621). He is buried in the church he designed earlier: the 'Zuiderkerk'. The building of the Westerkerk was finished and completed by his son Pieter de Keyser (1595-1676) and inaugurated on June 8, 1631. The church has a length of 58 meters and a width of 29 meters. The high nave is flanked by the two lower aisles. The three-aisled basilica has a rectangular plan with two transepts of equal dimensions. As a result, the plan for this church was given the form of two Greek crosses connected with each other.

Great experience. Learning how Heneken is made and the experience of the beer-making process. Fun atmosphere and enjoyable audience. The Heineken tour guides at were fun and knowledgeable. Big highlight is two glasses of Heineken during tour. We enjoyed the 75 minute canal trip through Amsterdam and seeing the different parts of the city.
Great experience.Guides at both locations were great and funny . Nice way to see Amsterdam from the canals .Great information on the Heineken beer history.
My husband and friends went on our first Europe trip and decided to book this tour. I promise you will not regret it! It was one of the biggest highlights of our trip! Loooooved it so much! The ambiance was amazing. The beers tasted great and super cold. The staff were super friendly. Thanks for such a great time!
This was a fun and lively Tour The guides were knowledgeable as well as lots of fun to listen to A great little lunch spot next door
My family and I recently visited the Heineken experience as well as the canal cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I only wish there'd been a toilet on the canal cruise.
Easy walk through museum quarter to Heineken experience. The tour is interesting and entertaining. Two delicious Heineken beers is a treat. The canal boat ride was ok, not a must see for me. The canal boat pilot was great handling the narrow canals and unexpected boat traffic and the ride was restful.
It was interesting to see the brewery and learn the history of Heineken. The beer was refreshing. For 5 EU you can go to the rooftop bar and get a free beer, so it pays for itself. The craft beers at the rooftop bar were unique. The canal cruise was great. The narrator was a hoot!
The canal tour was fun! We couldn't hear anything while we sat outside; but chose to be out enjoying the perfect weather while we cruised! Our tour guide was so kind and welcoming. The Heineken Tour was fun and getting to drink wasn't bad either! :)
Heineken experience - I was pleasantly surprised by the Heineken experience. Besides the informative tour, there is so much to do, including various fun activity stations, and photo stations that you interact with after the tour. There’s also a bar and lounge area at the end of the tour where you can relax and have a beer and just listen to music - great ambience, it has a club like feel. Of course, there is a gift shop and you can have items personalized, such as an Heineken bottle. Canal tour - I did not actually go on the Heineken tour boat, but another boat on the pier because it was more convenient time wise. Therefore, this portion of my review should be taken with a grain of salt, as the experience may have been better on the actual Heineken boat. You had to use headphones to listen to the commentary on the boat, you were provided with light snacks in a paper bag. It was very scenic, but uneventful. I think it was about 45 minutes or so and I ended up falling asleep during portions of it.
Easy to book and good value for money, a great experience. Guide on canal cruise was very different but excellent
It was easy and relaxing main atrractions were cover ed without any hustle you can just relax and watch scenic beauty of the area
This is a great tour for the beer enthusiast. The Heineken Experience is a great museum and a lot of fun, and the canal tour after was a great overview of Amsterdam.
Heineken tour is self-guided but you start off with a group of approximately 25 other people. There's a mixture of talks/presentations and exhibits to see. The best bit is probably the cinematic walk through, as long as you're not claustrophobic or epileptic. Good for bachelor/birthday parties or if traveling with a group, less memorable as an experience for solo travel. If combining it with a boat tour, best to check the timings of the boat tour first. I had to miss this option as timings didn't work out with my flight. Unfortunate as of the two, I'd probably have chosen the boat tour.
Relaxing one hour cruise. Ability to see Amsterdam from a new view without being attacked by bikes. :).
We wanted to hear a bit about the history of Amsterdam and all of the buildings since we did the 75 min tour. The QR code wasn’t working…. My boyfriend was asking our guide questions and she was very knowledgeable and friendly to explain everything.
The Heineken experience was a great tour. We enjoyed learning some of the history of the Heineken brewery and there were several interactive activities that enhanced the experience. The canal tour was a nice add on that provided a few more Heineken beers and a little history on the city of Amsterdam.
Pretty pricey ticket to view a building that used to be a brewery. Would have been great to tour an actual working brewery. Instead it’s packed with self-promotion and laser shows. A bit of a disappointment.
It would have been a great experience if we didn't have a train delay that made us miss "The Experience " all together. Not your fault .
Well organized and nice building. We did the combo canal cruise and Heineken tour. The Tour was ok the canal cruise was great. Very calm, picture taken boarding ship and sold for a reasonable price €4.
Wonderful experience very informative. We’re definitely recommend for others to choose even if you don’t like beer, ha ha.
A fun diversion. We were jet lagged and the cold fresh Heineken hit the spot. Loved the Canal Cruise. Informative and relaxing.
The Heineken Experience was the most unorganized thing ever. Took 30 minutes to enter. Extremely unclear as to what we were supposed to do. The boat was a very uncomfortable boat with weird seating and odd set up. Would not recommend either of these companies to book with again.
It was seamless and fun, only would have been better with an involved canal boat guide but the audio was helpful too.
The brewery guides were funny yet informative. The information given was interesting. The tastings were cold and good! The cruise personnel were nice to transfer us privately to the starting point by boat.
Enjoyable experience….a little slow moving, but enjoyed the tasting and sampling at the end. The bar was fun at the end, but could use a few more chairs.
The history and personalizing your own Heineken bottle.
Our scheduled time was for 5:15pm. Which by the way is the last cruise of the day as well the last possible Heineken tour. So even tho I paid for both we only got to do one of them. The canal cruise was great, Viator shouldn’t allow bookings to overlap and not be used such as the 5:15pm tours
Be patient and if you have time to be with a smaller group take the chance. It’ll be more enjoyable and slightly personalized
This is a really good combo to occupy and afternoon in Amsterdam, all good fun with the beers and history in the experience. The boat tour is very informative and the captain makes the trip much more fun and engaging.
Great tour of the original factory on my birthday! Tobias and the team really made my day once they knew it was my birthday I got the red carpet + treatment will definitely be back. Give my g Tobias a raise man was working with a broken arm and still delivered 5⭐️💯
A great time to be had, I'm not even a Heineken drinker but the experience itself was fantastic!
The museum was great, boat trip was also great and all the staff I interacted with were so friendly a lovely- snack box on the boat was an added bonus too, highly recommended.
Heineken tour was excellent. But I was never advised by viator that I couldn't do canal cruise after tour. It gave me an option to pick a time and I did and the canal tour was closed after tour.
It was as an absolute Great Experience & the Canal Cruise was the Icing on the Cake. This was a great ending to our trip to Amsterdam
The tour was very insightful and informative…would recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the history of Heineken.
Self guided and limited staff engagement. We finished the tour in less than 45 minutes despite starting early. O my engagement was the young lady reviewing the making process. No much to see. Staff bragged that the record time to complete the tour was 07:35. No sure if worth the price.
The Heineken Experience in Amsterdam was fun and enjoyable, with plenty of energy and engaging moments throughout the tour. We went in hoping for a more interactive deep dive into the brewery’s history, but the historical elements felt like they took a back seat to the virtual brewing and distillation experiences. While those digital features were entertaining, we would have loved a richer, more immersive look at Heineken’s past and its brewing traditions. Overall, we had a good time, but a stronger focus on history would have made the experience even better.
The beer may be good but the employees are wonderful. Walking with a cane they stopped me and gave us an elevator pass. When we found out we had missed a portion of the tour by being diverted on the elevator they arranged a special backtrack for us. One employee waited for us and took us back down to the tasting room and even brought a chair for me to sit and enjoy a sip or two. Really wonderful. Then we did the Canal Cruise right after with only a 10 minute wait. Really beautiful as the sun was starting to set and the city lights coming on.
We booked the 4:30 tour to do the Brewery and then Canal. Although there was later time slot that was available, we were told the last boat leaves at 5:15. With that being said, we couldn't do the whole Brewery tour because we would've missed our Canal tour, which was disappointing. But regardless we had a good time.
The canal cruise was nice and added a thorough narrative during the ride. Good way to see the city. The heineken was fun. Different than the guiness tour in dublin it was mostly about the beer making process. Interesting to get an immersion tour including a very visual component where you are the beer! Lastly the sample beers at the end felt like a college party. Fun time!
The tour was fun, but the facility & the interactives!! Heineken has put a good couple bucks into this experience! Definitely worth the price of admission - and you can customize your own personalized bottle of beer for around 8€. The river cruise was also well worth it. Great value!
Had a shockingly great time. Love how much beer they gave us! It was really fun at the end with all of the photo booths and bar games.
It is very interesting but not particularly handicapped friendly. Found it to difficult to use stairs. Staff not easily available in order to access elevator. It would help to have more seating in some areas.
Great self guided tour with some hidden gem Facts sprinkled in. Great beer to follow the tour - which is of course why we came!
Quick tour experience. Everyone was very nice. Why no dog toys ? Only drank 1 beer . Gift shop was well stocked.
Excellent value for money trip and a pleasant experience indeed, The canal ride was fun with the inbuilt speaker experience
Interesting tour. Learned about the brewing process and the Heineken family plus the things they did for their workers. Proud company. The Canal tour and a snack box was a great way to see some of the city of Amsterdam.
Other than tasting a great beer, a waste of time. The beer was excellent, but if you know the four ingredients of beer, the only thing special is the A yeast.
Excellent experience and value for money. Really enjoyed the interactive element and the canal boat was very informative and the snack box was a lovely touch- highly recommended!
