The cruise eft 25 minutes late-we got know directions from the crew or captain until about 15 minutes into the crew when the captain told us some information regarding the canal. The two young ladies were hospitable but we had no idea what was going on until they came around with the wine-we didn't know what types of wine we had choices of and the cheese and crackers were on the table with no direction as to why they were there. Did we get more if the plate was eaten... We were sat at separate tables and there was no chance to have conversation with others we we chose to. The canal was lovely as was the boat.

This tour came highly recommended so I had high hopes. There was no cheese on the CHEESE AND WINE tour LOL Something got mixed up and us, along with at least 4 other couples were on the wrong tour, not the cheese and wine tour that we booked. It ruined the experience.
Good wine, good cheese but no explanation what we were eating or drinking. It was very scenic at night but no narratives to where we were going and what bridges we were passing.
We had such a great time on the wine and cheese evening cruise! The service was wonderful, and the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. It was a beautiful way to see Amsterdam from the canals, and we loved hearing some of the history of the city along the way. The wine and cheese were a great touch and made for a perfect evening. Definitely a fun and memorable way to experience Amsterdam!
It is a must to go on a canal cruise when in Amsterdam. The crew was very nice and generous with the wine. The cheese was just ok but overall a lovely experience!
The price was low and the ride was nice but what was very underwhelming was the lack of narration. Our boat was half full and there were 5 crew members so we were surprised at the low enthusiasm. First, no mention of the types of cheeses we sampled( there were three of them precut into cubes ) or any story about the wines( three choices). During the cruise there was no history lesson or anything about Amsterdam and only a few landmarks were pointed out. They could have done much better.
Beautiful cruise on canals in Amsterdam sipping wine and eating delicious cheese. Very cold evening but warm inside the boat enjoying the incredible scenery.
Very pleasant, enjoyed the sights and information about Amsterdam. The wine was topped up regularly. We wasn’t keen on the cheeses provided. Staff were brilliant.
Lovely trip! I did this with my 19 year old daughter and we loved it. Very relaxing night time cruise, lovely cheese and no shortage of wine. Loved it, great value!
It was a very nice experience, enjoyed the night time cruise, worth doing, only criticism the heating was turned up to much, to the point i had no more layers to take off. Apart from that it was great experience
Wonderful cruise through the canals, very beautiful at night. Enclosed so we were not cold. A nice way to end a busy day. Crew were very nice.
It’s lots of fun. Guides are very knowledgeable of the city and lots of cool facts! Everyone on the ship were very nice and helpful. Had endless fun!
Nice, enclosed boat with endless wine and excellent cheeses. There was some narration, but it would have been nice to have a bit more. However, what we had was excellent, although hard to hear at times because of other clients very loud conversations (after endless wine!).
The tour was fabulous! The staff was great and Fatima kept our wine glasses full. It was a relaxing experience and it was lovely to see Amsterdam lit up
Very fun wish I could have heard the commentary and historical info that was being given. Fortunately, there was a local at our table who was very knowledgeable. Lots of fun. No sunset as it was cloudy but it was great!
A very pleasant way to spend about an hour and a half cruising the canals. It's quite cosy on board. The cheese and snacks were fine but a little explanation of what the cheeses were would be nice. We had red wine which was perfectly acceptable. We had 2 glasses each and were offered more so they don’t skimp on the hospitality. The captain occasionally pointed out sites of interest but it was quite hard to hear what he was saying over the general hubbub. If you want a more informative cruise - try one with no booze on board! Our trip was due to start at 8.15pm but we didn't get away until 8.30 and were back around 10 - not a problem but useful information.
Cheese was nice , mustard was nice , wine was nice. Views were nice , goes very quickly. The lady in charge was informational and welcoming initially , found she was very crude at times during the experience. She didn’t seem happy.
Although the drinks were topped up regulary, there was one tiny board with cubes of cheese and 4 little crackers, there were no nuts and other snacks as it said in the itenary and was not replenished so eat before you go. The cruise was late going and we didn't get an hour and a half as stated and no information about Amsterdam hardly on the trip. All in all, was quite disappointed if I'm being honest.
Brilliant experience - the boat set-up was much more romantic / personal than others I’ve seen where you’re sat in a big circle with everyone, really nice to get your own table. The host was really funny and informative, always kept our glasses topped up - great value for money!
This was well worth the price Staff was friendly Plenty of wine and cheese Lovely views Would recommend and would do this again
Fun 75 minute excursion. Affable and attentive staff, clean boat, nice wines and cheeses. No complaints.
Lovely cruise with lots of wine and a tasty variety of cheese, crackers dnd mustard!! Wonderful staff!
Lovely tour but perhaps not enough staff? Too busy pouring wine (which was appreciated) but feel we missed out on the tour narration. Limited cheese…
This was nothing more than a party cruise for young people who like loud music and drink CHEAP WINE! What a deceiving description when first purchased! The boat was nothing like the photos represented. There was no speaking during the tour from the captain, so we had no clue what we were looking at. The bathroom was filthy and the windows were foggy so we couldn’t even see what we were looking at, but it didn’t matter because we didn’t know what we were looking at. If you are looking for a boat ride down the canal in a stuffed cabin and don’t mind one star accommodations. This trip is for you. I will be cautious to use via tour in the future.
It was a truly unforgettable experience! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. It was really enjoyable to watch the fascinating views of the city while sailing along the canal, accompanied by cheeses and wines. The captain and guide were very hospitable and the atmosphere was warm and peaceful. I would definitely recommend it both for those who want to spend a romantic evening and for those who want to create a pleasant memory with friends!
A really lovely experience, a shame it was raining but the free flowing wine made up for it! 10/10 worth it
Lovely trip with lots of space on your own table. Nice cheese and wine kept flowing. Great friendly crew
Absolutely loved it! Lovely and quiet cruise. Great staff. Comfy seating and very clean. Great selection of wine and cheese. Location was easy to find.
We were eagerly greeted to our prepared tables. The wine glasses were never empty and the cheese & crackers were perfect. The guide/server shared interesting info of the city. Only negative is that Viator charged me over $40 per ticket and they were offering the ticket for $29 at the dock. Kinda felt bad.
This was one of my favorite excursions that we did in Amsterdam. The lights were beautiful and the wine was delightful. Our servers were absolutely fabulous.!
Nice cheese and wine selection with regular refills. Very friendly staff. Could have used some more narrative during the cruise as there was maybe only a couple minutes total of narrative.
The peaceful cruise-no boat noise, tasty wine and cheese, friendly service, and knowledgeable guide.
Excellent crew. Very friendly, and attentive. The attendant who greeted us at the dock was very friendly and gave us a friendly free as we approached.
Very enjoyable relaxed cruise around the canals with lots of cheese and lots of wine! Lots to see and informative and funny commentary
We arrived at the dock in dure need of restrooms and the captain showed us where to go before we'd even checked in for our cruise! The guide was knowledge and funny, which provided for an incredibly enjoyable experience! And the wine steward was prompt with keeping our glasses full.
It was great...service, views, and seating. We were missing a guide, so not much information or history was shared with the passengers... But still wonderful.
A lot of money for a little plate with 3 cheeses, no refiell of the cheeses only of the wine. If you want to get massively drunk with all you can drink wine this is the cruise for you but if you want to have a nice experience with cheese and wine choose another one.
The tour combined lots of new foods and drinks with information about Amsterdam and its history. Our excellent guide and a fun group made it a great experience. I particularly enjoyed getting to know each other as we sat around a large table for an hour at our last stop.
This was a great way see the canals and some neighborhoods you wouldn’t typically go to on your own. It was a cute and comfy boat with a great cheese plate and commentary with points of interest.
We were catered to, staff very attentive and driver ver witty and informative, despite the rain!! Would recommend for sure
The 8pm cruise in April was perfect timing as the sun was beginning to set towards the end so great views/photos. Delicious cheese & snacks and generous servings of wine. Our guide was lovely and very informative so we were glad we did this on our first night. Was a perfect way to cruise down the canals.
Loved the beautiful scenery of the city/canals and sunset was 10/10!!! Wish there had been a little more information provided - we were mostly left to observe and talk ourselves, which may be appealing to some but I like learning from the guides a bit more! Guides were Very attentive with refills of drinks
Cancelled twice first night they did try and call but the next night we turned up for it to be cancelled. Can’t really say what it was like as never went on it.
Hooorible experience. Super dirty bote, food on the photoes is fake they serve somethinng else, cheap striptis bar music mega loud (you may wish to jump off the boat) and canara man walking with the gang to rip you off 100$ per photo. Dangerouse vibe, real horror. Be careful, think twice before booking it.
Very enjoyable, the crew were very professional, knowledgeable and funny, highlight of our trip to Amsterdam, thank you so much.
The tour guide and the Captain was amazing. It was a great tour and were able to see parts of Amsterdam that I had not imagined.
I’ve read this on other reviews. Basically they over sell the boat and you and up sitting at a table with strangers. Hopefully they’re friendly. Ours were not and had a full on domestic at our table and spilled drinks all over my wife. My advice- show up early. Be in the first half to board and sit at a table with only 2 glasses. 4 equals a sharing table. Otherwise service was fine, friendly staff. As other reviews. There’s plenty to drink. Worth the money if you get a table to your selves.
Zero is the score on this one. Yes it had rained and the views where blocked by steam in the boat but the wine is bad and cheese at a minimum. Not to mention we sat at a table and told to move only to be moved again…so no window seat for us when they reserved for two other couples which meant no reason to move in first place. Also stood in rain before trip with no offer for shelter. Done many of these before but by far the worse! Not worth the money. Viator should remove from the listing as it actually made me rethink the Viator listings. And the wine was bad.
What can I say! Excellent, Great Service with staff superb, Wine and Cheese very enjoyable. Highly recommend. 👍👏
Very nice experience, wine was kind of dry for us, but we were happy with water or sodas. The service was great and the sights were good.
