We had the absolute best time with our guide, Dennis. He was so incredibly kind and took us to several local spots with delicious bites and drinks. He educated us on Amsterdam culture and history and showed us the best time. Cannot recommend enough!

Itinerary
Meet your delightful local guide, ready to tailor the route to your preferences and ensure an unforgettable experience.
Fulfill your cheesy dreams! Meet you're guide in this beautiful cheese basement of a 17th century merchant house. Learn about Gouda cheese and why not pair it with some fine wine?
Try "Dutch Sashimi", the cured herring we eat for more then 1000 years at a family business since 1982. Healthy and delicious, but only on tours that start latest 16:00.
Step into Hans Egstorf, Amsterdam’s oldest bakery — serving buttery, gooey stroopwafels. Locals say it’s better than Belgian waffles (and we agree).
Flower Market (Bloemenmarkt) – Stroll past Amsterdam’s famous floating flower stalls on the Singel Canal, bursting with tulips and seasonal blooms. Most private tours include this stop, but every tour is different.
See this 400 year old university located inside an old church! Explore the vibrant Spui University area, where intellects converge to fuel their minds with books, jenever, and the beloved Dutch snack, bitterballen!
Let us point you to a 15th century hidden garden with a secret house church, where even some locals do not know about! If time allows, ask your guide to peek inside.
A traditional 'brown café' nestled in the heart of the Jordaan district, Café Hegeraad has been a neighborhood staple for over a century.
Discover the picturesque charm and historical significance of our oldest canal, once a formidable defense moat safeguarding our city!
Let's savor a moment at a café just opposite the Anne Frank House, where you can enjoy a delicious slice of apple pie or perhaps enjo some poffertjes while contemplating the rich history that surrounds you.
Experience the pinnacle of chocolate perfection with our selection of bonbons! With the Netherlands importing 1.5 billion cacao annually, we ensure that if it's not Dutch, it's not much!
Explore Amsterdam's hip 9 streets shopping district, on the backdrop of 400 year old canals. Skip the line while we enjoy some famous Dutch fries.
Stunning area with 400 year old houses, tiny canals, houseboats and oh so tasty family run food stops !
Anne Frank House – Pass by Amsterdam’s most visited historic landmark. Many private tours end nearby, making it easy to visit after — but every tour is different, as your guide will design the route to match your taste.

Joeri was a fantastic guide to Amsterdam! We learned so much about the food and culture all while laughing as we went along. It was a small tour of our four family members and he made it so enjoyable. We will recommend this tour to any friend visiting and specifically have them request Joeri!
Todd was amazing! He effortlessly combined fantastic food experiences with terrific tidbits of Amsterdam history. His presentation was warm, friendly, informative and entertaining. It felt like we were being shown the “hot spots” by a family member. We highly recommend this tour. Bring your appetite and personality for an immersive, terrific, and genuine Amsterdam experience. My wife and I spent a week in Amsterdam and decided to book a food and drink tour—and it turned out to be one of the standout experiences of our wonderful vacation! Our guide, Todd Brown, was truly exceptional. He curated a fantastic itinerary of distinct, locally sourced flavors and exceptional wine pairings that we never would have discovered on our own, seamlessly weaving them together with a rich historical narrative of the city. We were especially grateful for how attentive Todd and each venue were regarding my wife's lactose intolerance; they went completely out of their way to customize her tastings so she didn't miss out on any of the regional culinary magic. Between the unique food, superb drinks, and warm hospitality, it was a truly memorable experience. We highly recommend Todd to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Amsterdam!
I can’t express how much fun my fiancé and I had on our tour with Todd. He was so knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating for everyone in our group. There was a great range of Dutch food that checked off things that we wanted to try. If you’re looking for a tour, this is the one to book!
Joeri gave us a phenomenal tour of Amsterdam and the food scene. We got to try a bit of everything and learned all about the city along the way. Was a grand time! Highly recommend!

Dennis did a great job making the tour feel personal and relaxed, and he had so many great recommendations and stories along the way. Everything we tried was delicious, and it was such a fun way to experience the city beyond the typical tourist spots. Highly recommend booking this tour, especially if you’re a foodie! And if you get Dennis as your guide, you’re in for a great experience!

Our first activity was a food tour with Adam and Eve—what a perfect introduction to Amsterdam. Our guide, Kees, took us on a wonderfully curated culinary journey, balancing sweet and savory treats while weaving in fascinating stories about Dutch history. We left with full stomachs and a much deeper appreciation for both the food and heritage of Amsterdam. We highly recommend this tour—and if you do it, ask for Kees.

The best storyteller Maria gave us a wonderful story about neighborhoods in Amsterdam although my English isn’t good enough to understand! Thanks!
We kicked off our Amsterdam stay the best way possible—a tour with Kees! He’s so knowledgeable about the city and friendly enough to make you feel like you’ve spent an afternoon with a friend. So many food and drink tastings that we considered it our evening meal! Definitely worth the value as stops are plentiful and diverse. Sights are stunning. It’s a great way to get the lay of the land upon arrival. Highly recommend.
We booked this tour as a company for a team event. Our group was a mix of people who grew up in the Netherlands, and people who have been living in the Netherlands for a shorter period. This became clear to the tour guide at the introduction round at the start of the tour. Even though, it seemed he was unable to adapt to the situation of our group. For 3,5 hours we were treated as tourists even though we weren't. Including advice on how to take cheese on a plane, asking us if we would want to ride his bike, etc. For a company event, it also didn't feel good to try to sell us stuff so he would get a commission. Maybe, it was a total mismatch between what you guys do, and what we wanted. But still, I think it is a shame that this mistake could be made, and that the tour guide was really unable to adapt. I understand that we still needed to go the original places and eat all the things most of us were already familiar with, but it is quite easy to adapt your story a bit to your group. Also, the rain & cold probably also didn't help. It might be good to know for others that this tour is nicer during summer, as almost half of the places are outside. Last but not least, it is of course difficult to advertise the Dutch kitchen, we do not have much to be proud of. But even though, I was kind of ashamed of what you give our tourists? If you are going to eat the familiar stuff: appeltaart, stroopwafels, bitterballen, then at least make sure you give the good stuff! I wasn't really surprised by anything but the Jenever. This is not a tour for people who like to be surprised by good food.
It was truly a wonderful evening spent with friends and colleagues. Despite the rather chilly and rainy weather, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the spirit of the old town. Enjoying street food, chatting and just spending time in a relaxed atmosphere. Big thanks to our guide Case, who took us through this beautiful city.
