Our flight was delayed and we could not get the the guide to switch to another day or time. We paid for a private tour that we did not get to enjoy.

We did a 2.5 hr tour w Anna with 4 people (including x 10 year old). It was great! After we mentioned that we wanted to do something a little less intense than the old city, she took us north across the river and through some villages in the relative countryside. Perfect!

Anna was a knowledgeable tour guide who made sure we’d be comfortable with our ride. The ride she suggested was perfect and me and my 3 teen/young adult boys. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had the most lovely afternoon with Anna exploring the local street art of Amsterdam. It was so interesting to get out of the tourist areas and to see not only some amazing art, but also a more local side of the city. Anna is laid back and super friendly. She’s knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. She also gave us some fabulous recommendations for the rest of our trip. 10/10 recommend.

To handle bikes without handbrakes was a new experience for us. Hence, we decided to start our trip outside the city center. Our tour guide brought us to quite interesting places (such as the Scheepvaartmuseum, near the zoo, Protestanztse Kerk Amsterdam, etc.) We quickly recognized that our tour-guide was not even slightly literate of Amsterdam’s history or any of the objects seen. (such as surly key historical buildings/museums) Nevertheless, we are still glad that we booked this bike tour – but next time we will insist on better bicycle and a professional tour guide…

Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the history of this beautiful city. Also a very patient bike rider with good instructions on how to manage the crazy Amsterdam traffic.

We walked to Star bikes for our excursion and they were not ready. The tour guide they/you hired did not show up. They had no backup plan. We waited around for an hour and they finally said sorry and sent us back to our hotel. We planned our trip for months and this was our first experience in Amsterdam.

We had Carolina as our guide and we absolutely loved her. She did such a wonderful job not only with the history but with guiding the bike ride. We hadn’t ridden bikes in a few years and she was so empathetic. Highly recommend!

We had a great time and Sebastian was a lot of fun to be with for the afternoon. The bike tour wandered around the old city and didn’t really go past the major landmarks such as Central Station or Dam Square, but seemed to double back on itself in the wandering recovering previously traveled streets. A bit more planning and defined itinerary would be beneficial. However, I can’t put the burden for that on Sebastian as we did not articulate any specific desires, and I’m sure if I had mentioned a few priorities Sebastian would have happily incorporated them into our ride.

What an incredible journey! Learning to bike the streets of Amsterdam while hearing about the city’s amazing history and culture was an experience my daughter and I will treasure. Thank you!

Anna was a great tour guide! We went on a awesome bike tour on the north side of Amsterdam and through the countryside. We saw 4 villages and lots of beautiful countryside. I’d highly recommend it.

Sebastian, our guide was great! He was very patient with us novice city cyclists. We navigated the busy streets of Amsterdam and loved seeing the the highlights as well as gems tucked away in less traveled neighborhood streets. We learned so much, thank you!

Arun was helpful and a good guide with interesting tidbits of info. It was so helpful to learn the rules of cycling in Amsterdam which were not always obvious. Having a guide was so much easier that going alone.

This private bike tour is a great way to see the various areas of Amsterdam and get a feel for the city. We felt like one of the locals riding our Dutch-style bikes (careful: backwards pedal to break!) and exploring a larger area in a short time. Our guide wove historical and cultural tidbits throughout our tour and it was a morning well spent.

It was so fun cycling through the Urban Jungle of Amsterdam. My German friend was glad she survived…. Donnie did A very good job!

It's the smaller detailed things you learn with a knowledgeable guide that makes all the difference in the world. I've been to Amsterdam before but he had me see it in a brand new light and helped my wife really appreciate the city for her first visit. Can't say enough about what a great tour it was. Marten is an excellent guide. Friendly and knowledgeable, he easily put all of us at ease. He has many interesting anecdotes to share about life in Amsterdam and the Netherlands, and is very good at keeping you interested in every place you stop. He also has good recommendations on places to visit or restaurants to patronize. The tour is an excellent way to see Amsterdam like the locals do.

Donnie was a fun and informative tour guide with a great sense of humour and presented the historical aspect of the tour in such a way that my teen was actually listening. He always put our safety first and helped us navigate the crazy Amstersam bike paths without collision or injury. I would highly recommend Donnie as a tour guide! Shamone!

I booked a private book tour for New Year's Day at 11 a.m.. Turns out the tour was not operating that day, but I didn't find out until I arrived at the bike rental shop which was also closed. Lucky for me the owner happened to be there so she let me in from the cold while I sorted out what happened. The bike rental shop was lovely, but she was pretty much the only silver lining.

What a way to see the city! Our guide was so awesome. We were 45 min late (I got my times mixed up) and then we had to cut the tour a bit short because we had last minute tickets to the Anne Frank Museum but the guide was really cool about it and made it work. And I was not an easy tourist to work with - I could barely ride a bike but he was so understanding about it, making me feel at ease. If you're in Amsterdam, this is an absolute MUST!!!!!

I had a 6 hour layover in Amsterdam on my way to Dubai for my birthday so I booked a private bike tour through an amazing app called WithLocals. I pick Manu as my tour guide because he was American from the NorthEast like myself and he had other great reviews & I have to say I wasn’t let down!! Manu was the BEST! My Layover was on my actual birthday and he made that time so much fun. We had time to bike, and walk, and stop for pictures! All in 3hrs and I never felt rushed. I definitely got my money’s worth and so much more!! If you’re ever in Amsterdam look up Manu on withlocals. I highly recommend it. We also stop for the best most delicious cookies I’ve ever eaten from this tiny little shop called Van Stapele. This is also a must of any Amsterdam trip. Manu was great!! Very knowledgeable about Dutch culture & Amsterdam history. Being that he’s American he was able to make comparisons between American culture & Dutch culture. So make understanding thing super easy. We had time to stop for pictures, bit of walking & the most delicious cookie I’ve ever tasted!! Manu is amazing and I highly recommended him to anyone!! I was traveling by myself and it was my birthday and Manu made my brief layover tour wonderful and highly informative!! I can’t say enough good things about him & this wonderful city! I will definitely be back!!

We really enjoyed our bike trip with Arun. He was organised, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw so much of the city and enjoyed hearing about the history. He explained the rules well and made the whole experience very memorable. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Amsterdam and wanting to do a bike tour.

Enjoyed biking around Amsterdam and feeling like a local. Good pace with several stops along the way but felt it could have been more enjoyable if it had more descriptions of the neighborhood, sites, historical facts etc than mostly biking around the city.

My solo bike tour with Arunabha was fantastic. Arunabha is a very personable and intelligent guy with great knowledge of Amsterdam's history. We covered a lot of Amsterdam on the tour and he gave me recommendations of museums and places to visit as well as places to eat. Riding a bike in Amsterdam can be intimidating, but doing it on a tour was very comfortable and Arunabha is a great guide. I would highly recommend him.

We did a 3 hour private bike tour with Arun (sp?). He was a great guide, very informative. We were a little nervous about 3 hours on a bike but there were intermittent stops and the biking was easy and fun. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

The tour showed us a great perspective of Amsterdam but I think that bikes with hand control brakes would have been more user friendly

It was a great pleasure to tour with Anna. She has a very personable and relaxed demeanor, but is full of contemporary as well as historic local knowledge. We tailored the trip so that a portion would be dedicated to touring the best graffiti sites. But we still had the chance to see some historic towns and villages with traditional homes built on dykes. Thank you!

My mother and I chose this private tour while visiting Amsterdam and it was definitely the right decision! The city is bustling with bicycles and it would have been very difficult to navigate in a large group. It was perfect for just the two of us and our guide. Speaking of our guide, Arunabha, he was fantastic! He tailored the tour to explore areas we had not yet seen. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. This tour was well worth the cost. Donnie is a friendly host with remarkable understanding of Amsterdam. He took me around all the historical sites and provided me many information concerning the history of Amsterdam. The discussion between me and him triggers the thinking of cultural differences which further makes the trip more delightful.

Great way to see the city and parks!!! Arloon was a great guide and took us to a few extra spots. We did have one person in our group who was unable to ride due to illness and we had a hard time figuring out how to get a refund for him. The guide is independent from the bike rental store. Hoping to hear from aviator on the refund.
