Fun and interactive event overall. However, it felt oversubscribed, with too many people booked onto the session. There wasn't much room at the counter, which made it feel quite cramped and claustrophobic at times, and the experience felt rushed as a result. The queue for the waffle machine was also very long due to the number of attendees, meaning a lot of time was spent waiting rather than participating. I was also disappointed that a pre-mix was used for the waffle batter. It would have been much more enjoyable and educational to make the batter from scratch so that participants could learn the recipe and recreate it at home. Despite these issues, it was a fun experience, but reducing the group size and including more hands-on elements would greatly improve it.

Really fun experience, loved that you got to make the stroopwaffel from scratch before decorating. Great atmosphere and really clear information about how to make! Really tasty too!
Lovely & unique experience. Very friendly guide too! Something different to do with children (or without!) whilst in the city
A fun way to experience a favorite food in Amsterdam. We had a small group for our time slot. Each of us had a station to mix and kneed the dough. We then moved to another station to ‘cook’ our waffle, cut and fill with syrup. The last step was decorating. Each person walked away with 2 handmade stroopwaffles. The location is across the canal from the Anne Frank house and the class lasts about 45-1 hr. Definately would sign up again as it’s a fun way to spend time in Amsterdam.
While I enjoyed the experience, the class was far too crowded. A good amount of time was spent waiting on a waffle iron and then again waiting to use the cutting utensil. When it was finally our turn to use the equipment, I felt rushed knowing there were so many waiting. Still, I enjoyed making the waffle, which was tasty. Just too many people at once.
We had a fun 45 min workshop learning the history of the famous stroopwafel. We got to make 2 custom waffles with filling and toppings. It was a large group but there was plenty of room. I had a voucher code from trip advisor so only paid £13 each which was a fantastic price for a 45min event with 2 waffles to take home after. This also included the packaging and there is lots of great photo opportunities too! Must do experience when visiting Amsterdam
I had such a fun time at the Flagship Waffle Experience in Amsterdam. The hands-on experience of making my own traditional Dutch stroopwafel from scratch was unique, interactive, and delicious. I loved getting creative with the toppings and personalizing my waffle. The staff made the workshop lively, enjoyable, and welcoming. The setup was adorable, and snapping photos at their cute floral backdrop wall made for great memories. Amsterdam Make Your Own Dutch Stroopwafel was a fun way to add something different to my Amsterdam trip. If you’re visiting Amsterdam and looking for a sweet, memorable activity, I definitely recommend giving this experience a try. 10/10
Really enjoyed this experience!.. really lovely staff and fun workshop. Definitely worth doing and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend
Great experience, fantastic host & guide Feria. 45 mins - 1hr well spent and you get the 2 large stroop waffles you made to take away 👌
Not great - Seemed a bit unorganized. The woman leading the demo seemed in over her head. The class was chaotic. We didn't really learn much. Seems they use a prepackaged stroopwafel mix - it is measured out all did was add water. I really wanted to learn more. People seem to have fun so i guess it was OK.
We didn’t get to go because someone called in sick so they cancelled us 45 minutes before . We were disappointed . Hopefully we get our money refunded the girl in the store said we couldn’t but sent us to the flagship store and they helped us to hopefully get a refund I will know in a week if we got our refund .
This class was one of the more relaxing things we did. Lia was so sweet and fun - and it’s a plus to eat your creation at the end!
Such a great little 45 minute class. Made two big stroopwafels - one plain and one decorated. Clean and gorgeous kitchen space as well as easy directions from our instructor Feria. Would definitely recommend!
Great start to our trip. Perfect activity to keep yourself moving after an overnight flight. Friendly, fun and a yummy result.
Just ok. Young college girls just gave instructions and quickly mentioned the list of ingredients in the dry mixture but no quantities. No recipe was handed out. We mixed and prepared the dough. College girls went through quick history of the Stroopwafel. Then directed one of the student to demo the press and split of the stroopwafel. Then decorate and GO! You couldn't even enjoy the warm Stroppwafel in the store. You had to take it away. Overall too expensive for the experience. I prepared 2 Stroopwafels but could not replicate at home. Best to get a warm freshly made one from another shop and enjoy with a beverage..
Worth the trip. Went around twice just to make sure we did not miss anything. Drivers very friendly and professional.
I expected a fun enjoyable experience as my daughter recommended. The young leader seemed annoyed to teach the class and be there. Ruined it for us.
Very fun if you have an extra hour. Or if traveling with young children. The waffle is a tasty treat.
This experience would have been so much fun—- if the space was better ventilated and cooler! It was so hot and smoky inside the day we went (was a/c broken??), it was pretty miserable. On a positive note, cute place with good instructions and was completely hands on.
Fun experience! We enjoyed our instructor and the stroopwaffles we made are delicious. Thanks so much!
It was a fun way to spend the morning . Highly recommend. The story behind the stroopwaffle and fun making your own
Fun activity but was far too busy. Too many people crammed onto the workstations. Felt a little rushed. Could be excellent if less busy and less rushed.
This was such a fun experience with a great host. The waffles were absolutely delicious. You make 2 waffles and get to take them both home with you. Definitely a very “Amsterdam” experience we can’t wait to do again.
the experience was so much fun, very informative and interesting. the girl taking rhe workshop was engaging, funny and really friendly. The stroopwaffels are huge and really tasty. only issue was it was very cramped a d really hot, although the staff has put fans on and left tje door to the store open to alleviate some of the heat. one of the eaffle irons was not working and I feel this made the process a bit slower but it didnt take away from the fact that it was a brilliant experience rhat I highly recommend
This was a lot of fun and turned out delicious. It is just across from Anne Frank tour so made for a perfect thing to do before our tour.
Very well organised and the team were really lovely. Had plenty of time to make the stroopwaffles to how we wanted and loved that you get two extra large ones. Great value for the price.
Really great activity to learn how to make one of the most well-known Dutch treats! The host gave us a great history lesson about the stroopwaffle! We learned so much! The directions and recipe were very simple to follow. It was a fun ans tasty activity. The shop was very hot but the summer heatwave and 4 hot waffle irons presses going were the reason. It is conveniently located near other attractions including canal boat tours and the Anne Frank House.
A fun cooking class with family! A must do while in the city! The history, food, and bonding was memorable!
This was really fun. You take home two large waffles and learn all about the process as you build them. Bo was amazing! Super friendly and helpful!
It was way too warm in the facility. The small number of fans was nowhere near enough. My wife and I were literally dripping wet with sweat.. I would not recommend this if the temperature outside is very high. The staff was great, but the high temperature ruined the experience.
This was a great experience! The girl who ran it was very educated and the instructions were very clear. You got to take home 2 delicious stroopwafels. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone in Amsterdam!
Ohhhh what a lovely and fun experience First time baker 😜 and I nailed it The team is amazing keep it up Shout out to Melissa the wonderful instructor
This was really fun and great to learn about stoppages, and how they’re made. Thank you for a fun experience!
A really nice thing to especially as a solo traveller. Its also inna good area with other things to do/explore afterwards. Only downside is you can only decorate one of your two Stroopwafel but that's just personal preference. Really good hosts, and the place was clean and well organised. Really informative too.
Great fun, easy way to pass an hour, good relaxed fun for all ages, No experience required, instructors fun and clear
Excellent activity as a family to experience how to make traditional Dutch Stroopwafle. Kids loved it. Easy to follow instructions. Thanks Duniya!
Very fun! One of my favorite experiences to date. Just make sure you don’t use too much chocolate topping. It won’t harden in time when packing up which can be messy.
Such a fun way to learn how to make a stroopwafel. Very easy, simple, fun class! Would recommend this to anyone you wants to learn!
The experience was great, fun to learn about the history of stroopwaffels. The guide was funny and very knowledgeable
Great fun. Interesting and well taught. We learned a lot and it was great to be able to take the waffles away with us
Well, it was not the best experience in Amsterdam. First they rescheduled our slot for an earlier time but the message was sent an hour before so we didn’t manage to come on time. Finally they rescheduled it again but it was our last day in AMS so we really needed to squeeze our plans. And the workshop itself… Nothing special. You get a mix of ingredients so 2 min later your dough is ready. Then you spend 10 min in a line waiting for your turn to bake waffels. Finally you can decorate with a chocolate but your time is finished so you leave the place with chocolate which was not able to set correctly… I think there are better things to do in Amsterdam…
An amazing experience learning a little history of the stroopwaffle while getting the chance to make our own. Great value for money and guide was really welcoming.
This was the perfect activity to enjoy as a family! We learned about the treat, made them, and enjoyed them! It was the perfect length of time, lots of fun facts, and excellent hands on activity! & it is the CUTEST place!
Great hostess, was kind and did a great job of explaining the process and the history. Only thing I would add is dark chocolate and tart toppings! Thanks for a fun activity for our family!
The place is beautiful, nice instructors but for me just to get a ready dry mix with water is no cooking class. To make matters worse, they did not sell the mix there nor provided a recipe. So it is basically get the dry mix, add water, make a ball and put on the waffle maker. Interesting for photos but that is about it. You will leave with 2 beautiful stroopwaffles but no knowledge of how to make them.
The place was incredibly hot—there was no air conditioning, and it felt like it was well over 100°F inside. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable, but the heat was overwhelming and unfortunately took away from the overall experience. I also wish they had provided the recipe at the end of the class so we could recreate what we made at home. Because of these issues, I don't think I would recommend this class.
This was so fun and authentic! We loved our guide and knew exact what to do. They were very courteous.
The instructors were great, well organized. We had a wonderful time and made delicious stroopwaffles.
It was great to make our own waffles. You mix the dough, pour in the Carmel and decorate the exterior with fun flavors and candies. It’s really hot in the baking area so dress accordingly.
Great experience and Maron (French student who was our chef guide) was wonderful. Learned history and how to make it. Lots of fun and tasted great. Only recommendation is instead of making two large ones, four smaller ones would be more ideal, especially for transport and eating. Highly recommend.
