The description for the meeting point shows near the Centraal Station. There were many other boats there doing a similar tour, but no one from our booked cruise company was any where to be found. We called the phone number, it said it was out of service. We called Viator, they received the same out of service message. I am not sure if this company exists. I would be careful when booking with this company, this may be an old listing for a company that no longer exists.

Itinerary
We welcome you in the old neighborhood de 'Jordaan'. A charming area of Amsterdam.
You will go to the Unesco Canals of Amsterdam
The Anne Frank House (Dutch: Anne Frank Huis) is a writer's house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The building is located on a canal called the Prinsengracht, close to the Westerkerk, in central Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During World War II, Anne Frank hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the 17th-century canal house, known as the Secret Annex (Dutch: Achterhuis). She did not survive the war but her wartime diary was published in 1947. Ten years later the Anne Frank Foundation was established to protect the property from developers who wanted to demolish the block
The Westerkerk is a Reformed church within Dutch Protestant Calvinism in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. It lies in the most western part of the Grachtengordel neighborhood, next to the Jordaan, between the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht.
At the Houseboat Museum, you get the chance to experience first-hand what it’s like to live in a houseboat on an Amsterdam canal. The museum is located in the “Hendrika Maria”, a former cargo ship built in 1914. The cargo hold is now a cosy living space featuring all the conveniences and a surprising amount of space and comfort.
Leidsegracht is a canal in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It is a cross-canal in Amsterdam-Center that connects Herengracht, Keizersgracht, Prinsengracht and Lijnbaansgracht and flows into the Singelgracht at Marnixstraat.
De Beulingsloot is one of the oldest and shortest canals in the center of Amsterdam. It is located within the Grachtengordel.
The Melkmeisjesbrug is a fixed bridge in Amsterdam-Center. There has been a bridge here for centuries. Balthasar Florisz. van Berckenrode (1625), Joan Blaeu (1649) and Daniël Stalpaert (1662) signed her on their maps. The modern history of the bridge starts in 1883. A pedestrian drawbridge was then replaced by a permanent bridge. This was possible because shipping here had largely ended. Nevertheless, the passage turned out to be too narrow. The abutments and bridge were renewed in 1903 by the construction of a so-called paraboolligger bridge with iron sickle girders. The bridge looked slender and fit in well with the street scene. The new version of the bridge, this time made of steel, from 1966 also shows these properties. The bridge is named after the milk market that was once held here. Later a catering establishment was built here, which had an image of a milkmaid as a sign. The bridge is probably the place where the first (type) Amsterdammertje was placed.
The Amstel is a river in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. It flows from the Aarkanaal and Drecht in Nieuwveen northwards, passing Uithoorn, Amstelveen, and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, to the IJ in Amsterdam. Annually, the river is the location of the Liberation Day concert, Head of the River Amstel rowing match, and the Amsterdam Gay Pride boat parade. The Amstel was formed around 1050 BC when a freshwater river cut into a tidal channel of the IJ which are now Damrak and Rokin.
Hermitage Amsterdam is a branch museum of the Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg, Russia, located on the banks of the Amstel river in Amsterdam. The museum is located in the former Amstelhof, a classical style building from 1681. The dependency displayed small exhibitions in the adjacent Neerlandia Building from 24 February 2004 until the main museum opened on 19 June 2009. It is currently the largest satellite of the Hermitage Museum, with a total area of 12,846 m2 and fits with the museum's plan to make its collections accessible to more people. The exhibition area covers 2,172 m2 and is contained within two large exhibition halls and smaller exhibition rooms. The remaining space holds lecture halls, offices and staff accommodations and a restaurant.
The Stopera is a building complex in Amsterdam, Netherlands, housing both the city hall of Amsterdam and the Dutch National Opera and Ballet, the principal opera house in Amsterdam that is home of Dutch National Opera, Dutch National Ballet and Holland Symfonia. The building was designed by Wilhelm Holzbauer and Cees Dam. The name is an abbreviation of the protest slogan "Stop the Opera" and not a portmanteau of "st"adhuis (Dutch: "city hall") and "opera" as is often claimed. Because the word 'Stopera' was a name for the protests against the building, the theater has never used this name in their communication.
Amsterdam Centraal was designed by Pierre Cuypers, who is also known for his design of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. While Cuypers was the principal architect, it is believed that he focused mostly on the decoration of the station building and left the structural design to railway engineers.
The IJ is a body of water, formerly a bay, in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is known for being Amsterdam's waterfront.

Did a similar boat cruise with a different company in October but booked again to see the light festival. The boat was too overcrowded we all were crammed in. Couldn't really see out the windows. We were sat next to a table of people who did not stop talking loudly between themselves and had their family on loud speaker on the phone doing the tour, so unable to hear commentary. No option of outside seating deck as advertised. We were a family of 3 adults and 3 older children. Can definitely get tickets cheaper just turning up to boats by central station.
Arrive early - there are no drinks on the boat, and you will need to take to-go beverages from a nearby cafe.
was enjoyable but not handy with a group as there is no guided seating so you cannot sit together. Additionally if you’re outside you don’t hear the audio, and the tickets do not include app access to see the stories behind the art installations.
booking the experience was easy. Finding the correct place to board not so much. in the app and email where different places where we where expected to board. We called the customer service but got a third address that didnt make any sense. Therefor we where olmost running not on time. When we where at the correct boat they had printed out excel sheets and where calling names. Not very efficient and huge line. Automate this tooo please and put the name of the company that is providing the tour, for instances lovers in the information towards your clients as well. We did go on the boat tour after all and that was great.
I would avoid this when it’s bad weather. We did this in the rain and so wasn’t the best experience for us. We couldn’t see much out of the windows and they weren’t able to all be opened. We didn’t feel like we had the most out of our experience because of the long queuing on the canals- understandably it’s the light festival but the tour overran a lot because of how slow we had to go due to traffic.
The boat was lovely and the crew were friendly and helpful. We saw alot and we were able to go outside and take photos Having a toilet on board was handy
This was supposed to be the cherry on our sundae visit to Amsterdam. Instead it was more like the sediment from a bad bottle of wine. 1. No way to know where to line up. We had to ask other boat companies. No employee to check you in. Just a mob on the dock. 2. Only provided 2 glasses (short) of a Spanish white wine. No choices. One glass of Coke for our teen. No beer, no gluwhein, no red wine, did I mention no other choices. 3. One small tray of cheeses for 3 people. No clue what they were-one spicy, one truffle-but not Dutch. 4. No audio -except for a programmed voice that we could not hear over conversations. The trains and trams are quieter. The captain said 2-3 items of note. No interaction. 5. My teen and another slept through the tour. 6. I feel like I could have stood on a canal bridge and tossed my money into the canal for more value.
Second time taking a canal cruise , however my first time with this particular business, I must say, they were so friendly and accommodating. The whole staff was very nice and made the experience that much better. I highly recommend going outside for the best pics.
It was absolutely amazing! The views of the holiday lights and the canals of Amsterdam were truly magical. The crew was beautiful and more than accommodating.
Loved the history and lights. Our captain and hostess were wonderful enjoyed pairing cheeses with the wines.
I have used. Viator many times and all of my experiences have been super exceptional for this one and it was terrible. Finding the correct boat was very difficult - I had to call for assistance. The unlimited wine included only one very small glass.
exellent experience! we went on this amsterdam light festival canal cruise with amsterdam circle line, and it was awesome! we went on different company's and this was by far the best. the vieuw was amazing and I took many pictures. it is also a fun activity for the whole family, my kids enjoyed it very much!
Great skipper, friendly and had good sense of humour. The tour was really informative. Mixture of pre recorded commentary and skipper giving his own insights. Kids were a little bored but we brought colouring with us, so no problems. Toilet on board. We’ll worth the 46 euros price for family of 4.
The commentary was superb! We arrived too late to catch the tour we had purchased tickets for, but they accommodated us a later one. Great views, even in the rain!
By far the best boat tour in Amsterdam. Clean, best captain (Dex), best guide (also Dex). They even took care of the sun.
Fun. The captain was great, and had all kinds of amusing anecdotes along with information to supplement the audio guide. There were only 6 of us on the boat, so we had lots of room to move around. It was great to see the city from the water, and it felt more authentic than from the street.
Was amazing! Loved the captain, he was very entertaining and kept the trip exciting but informative! Got some amazing views of amsterdam as well as some interesting history, would definitely do this again!
It was an amazing experience and allowed you to see so many parts of Amsterdam from a different perspective. Our guide Rolf was incredible, made the tour informative yet funny which made it even better!
Very interested boat ride of Amsterdam. Very beautiful and sweet city. 1 hour to visit the city and its surroundings, perfect 👌
Amazing experience. Our boat driver Dex was amazing and funny with a espetacular and understable english. I highly recommend
We had Albert as our captain have to say it’s refreshing to see someone love there job and how they do it , easily the best boat tour I have ever been on, and Alber made it. Plus the boat was warm and super comfortable
Dex gave a great tour, we enjoyed the extra insights he offered about recent events like real estate in addition to the historical significant areas.
Thanks you so much for this road it’s was amazing, I pass a really great moment with my family and the view was wonderful. I also really like all the explications about the city in different language. I recommend it!
I'm the youngest captain in Amsterdam he started with. The whole tour he proved also to be the most irresponsible captain. Walking from front to back with photo's, while he should be at the wheel at all times. The boat was still moving so it is not the question if a accident will happen, but when.
We bought the IAmsterdam card and used it to take a canal cruise with Amsterdam Circle Line. This was our first acitivity using the IAmsterdam card and the first activity of our visit to the city. IT WAS AWFUL!! We have been on other canal cruises in Amsterdam, and this was the worst ever. There were very few comments about the sights along the trip. What comments were given were obviously a recording that often didn't match where we were and what we were seeing. It was basically a slow boat ride on some of the canals but we didn't even know which ones we were on! Save your vouchers and or money and use a different company!!
The captain was great! His speech entertains us so much! It was pleasure to share this trip with my fiance!
Thank you DEX (captain) and BEN for this very nice experience! We have been doing the tour spontaneously and it was absolutely worth it. We got a great impression of Amsterdam, the information provided automaticallyin three languages was not too much and perfectly combined with Dex's personal information provided in English which included some "fun facts" as well. Also, we liked the boat was not too crowded and also not complete open. We had windows open, which was absolutely fine, since it was also a bit windy. It was even cheaper than other offers which were completely open without any walls. We can absolutely recommend this trip and offer! Have fun and enjoy your cruise! ☺🚢 Katharina and Amin
We had a really great time! They started right on schedule and the trip was fun! We learned a lot of interesting details about the city.
Very good, funny and interessting Tour through Amsterdams Grachten. The captain (Albert) was also very funny.
Excellent. Romantic. Impressive. Educational. Kid friendly. This ride shows the side of Amsterdam we all want to see. Strolling through the canals with a friendly + educational tour guide is pleasant and catching to the eye. It was really enjoyed, sharing an experience together of the city with family and others. Kid friendly. Ps… make sure to take the stromma experience. Other options are cheaper, but less professional.
We have made a beautiful tour with skipper Albert! The youngest skipper of Amsterdam is very friendly, has great driving skills and has a lot of funny humor. As seen on the photo, he is a very serious boat driver which gave us a safe feeling! Thanks Albert!
Nice way to get a feeling for Amsterdam and its canals now and then. Enjoyed the tour and the great boat captain.
Great boat trip! Our captain was a young and friendly boy who told us interesting stories about Dutch people, Amsterdam and its history, showed us remarkable houses and made our experience unforgettable.
It should be 1 hour and 30 minutes. We got 45 minutes in the boats... General the both was good but we aspected to be in the boat twice as longer but it already end 17.47pm and it start the cruise 17.09 pm
Chose the 50 minute tour through the waters of Amsterdam. Never felt so bored in my life before. Tour guide said stuff like “if you look to your right, you can see an iron bar which prevents cars from falling into the canals. On the left side there is none”. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION IS THIS?
Very friendly boat captain and crew! An excellent way to see the centre of the city and to learn a lot about the history and current organisation! The boat wasn’t too crowded and you could buy drinks on board. Definitely worth a go!
Very good service which was well documented and explained by the Captain as we went. Unfortunately the weather was horrible but that is unavoidable at times.
This tour is a great starting point for your first visit to Amsterdam. Great value for money. Informative crew. Would highly recommend.
Boat cruise was pretty awesome. Discovered a lot of history about Amsterdam and it was relaxing. I like that the tour was in several different languages.
In this weather stood there waiting for an hour and it never came. After stood there that long decided to leave it lost the money and never had any experience 0 stars not booking this company again
My girlfriend and I took this after Anne Frank Museum. It was most interesting tour I have ever taken. The Captain of the boat was informative and funny. I highly recommend it!
We booked this canal tour through trip advisor. When confirmation came through there were no times given just said ‘daily’ we arrived to one of the departure points at 10am and waited a good 30 mins. No boat. We rang the company and they said the boats hadn’t started yet but were starting and would be around 10/15 mins. We stood and waited another 30 mins. No boat. We decided to walk away at this point. During the day we went to a different departure point and caught the boat there. The boat was listed as ‘audio’ but whilst on the tour there did not appear to be any audio???? In future if we were to go on a canal tour I’d probably wait until I arrived in Amsterdam and go with one of the many companies situated by the canals!!
I didn’t have a plan for my afternoon in Amsterdam when I happened across a Circle Line boat behind Amsterdam Centraal piloted by Albert. I was the only passenger for the entire 1.5 tour. Albert did a wonderful job of explaining the history and culture of the area. Great experience!!!
We had so much fun on the tour through Amsterdam! Staff was very helpful. We had a blast! Definitely coming back!!! The shipper was also amazing!
We had a very great time on the 1,5 boattour. Very very friendly and helpfull crew! Very personal and warm (Much more than Some other board companies) Great locations to Sail by, interesting stories and good service (and attention for our kids of 4 and 3)! Would go again anytime.
It is a very pleasant boat ride, where you discover places from Amsterdam that I could not find out just by walking around. You hear interesting information about the places you're passing by. Boat was full, but we could see everything. I recommend this tour specially if you are visiting Amsterdam during the winter (nice place to warm up a little). Not expensive, it is worth the ticket price
We took the Amsterdam Circle line to tour around the canal for 1.5 hour and it was a very enjoyable experience. Originally we wanted to get on a fully covered boat as it was quite cold, but because there would be a 30 mins wait, we just hopped on a semi cover one which was about to leave . We were glad we did because we got a very friendly boat captain for our tour. He was very patient in answering all our questions and he supplement the recorded audio with additional information. We hop on from the Anne Frank museum and finished the 1.5 hour cruise and then hop off at the Museum district. There were some blankets on the boat so we didn’t feel that cold. Overall we were very satisfied with our boat cruise experience and it was a very nice way to see the canals in Amsterdam.
I go to see the Lights Festival every year and hence tried all possible types of boats and companies. It is the first time that I board a new boat, extremely clean, with very friendly crew, very savvy about Amsterdam history (they dont only explain the Lights Festival but tell you about the City and its past), very good audio, drinks and refill included and warm. If you want to take pictures, you can easily open the windows. A real pleasure and for sure I will use this company again next year! Thanks to Albert, Jaap and Inneke for a marvelous experience! Happy New Year!
The nice and cosy tour during Light Festival lasted 1 hour. Really must do during the Light festival.
