Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Cruise With Unlimited Drinks

This was a lovely festive trip , comfortable boat , lovely crew, fabulous lights , would recommend this trip as a nice festive activity

A last minute booking and it was a great decision! The boat was warm and comfortable, plentiful drinks and our captain and host were funny, knowledgeable and interesting. It was a beautiful way to see the festival of lights and lean some history. Highly recommended!

Not a great experience! There was a power outage across Amsterdam for two or three hours before our trip. No trams were working during this period and the city came to a standstill. We couldn't even get back to our hotel, let alone get to the pick-up point for the canal cruise. One of our party (of eight) has mobility issues and we would have needed a taxi (or two) to get to the start point - but none were available. We tried to get in contact with the organisers but this was impossible. So we were unable to take part on the trip, we have no idea if it was good or bad (or if it even went ahead - a light show without electricity wouldn't have been much fun!). We have requested a refund but both the organiser and Tripadvisor have refused to engage on the subject - or shed any light on the situation. Not their finest hour!

Goose and Lex were the best hosts ever! So friendly and helping and made our experience so great. Lex was a phenomenal boat captain and Goose was great at being interactive and showing us around the city. 1000000/10 would recommend and do again! Was very worthwhile.

I did this with my 8 year old daughter. We both really enjoyed it! Luke the tour guide was fantastic! So funny and enthusiastic! Harry the captain was also a gent! Also thought our boat was a lot nicer than every other one! Large windows were great! And the option to go outside also a plus! Highly recommend!

Worth the cost for the ride and guide alone, add in the drinks which they make you feel welcome to have as many as you’d like.

The pickup point was both accurate and very obvious. All the staff were prompt and really friendly, as well as accommodating. The boat was heated and lit well so sunset was a great time to do it and not at all uncomfortable. Drinks and refills were free and there was a toilet on board.

Great guides and comfort way of seeing the city, light festival made it even better. Nice and cosy even though it was freezing outside, often asked if you would like a drink too. Great experience, def worth doing when in Amsterdam

I personally didn't enjoy the light festival canal cruise. I think I would have preferred it if I went during the day time. The lights were not as grand as I thought it would be, but the guide and bartender were very knowledgeable and nice. I also was not a fan of the group that came on the cruise - bunch of girls who were very loud. Also, the hot chocolate wasn't that great.

We had a wonderful time on this canal tour! Flores and Michelle did an awesome job telling us about the lights and Amsterdams history. We also enjoyed the various beverage options. it was raining slightly so it was great to have the covered area to warm up in but also the opening for the best pictures.

Boat could not be located we were there at Amstel 51 and no boat. We were walking around the pier and looked at several slips and there was no boat at 51F

Great trip to see the light festival. Not sure why some of the reviews mentioned the art/light instillations were not good. We really enjoyed them and our tour guides were very informative about each instillation and other facts about the city! Drinks were readily available whenever you wanted a re-up!

This was a great trip through the various canals that house the Light Festival art installations. Both the captain and host were fantastic, knowledgeable, and attentive, especially with the free drinks! It's well worth it to see Amsterdam in a different light during one of the great times of the year. Plus, the snow was a bonus that made everything more beautiful!

The trip was exceptionally good. The boat was very comfortable and the blankets provided were welcome in the January cold! The drink selection was good - beer, mulled wine, wine, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The cruise was a great way to see all of the Light Festival displays, dotted around the city, as well as providing a tour of the city. Lucas, our guide, was very knowledgeable and provided information about the displays and Amsterdam itself.

Good host, good bartender, good ride! Artwork was cool. Would do again. Learned some history during the ride and got to see cool artwork.

It was great. Highly recommend, especially for the price! We had a fun group and our guide did a nice job of explaining all the various art/light works.

Was not as expected. Very cold, no heated seats or blankets are described in description. The windows were all foggy, so you couldn’t see much. The tour guides, didn’t have microphones, so they were talking very loud, so depending on where you sat, it was either extremely loud or you couldn’t hear anything. We were crammed inside the boat as they over booked

The boating experience was great. Nothing like Amsterdam lit up with lighting during Christmas from the canals. I thought the lighting installations themselves were just all right. Perhaps I expected more from the pictures. But it's okay, the weather was perfect. The wife enjoyed the warm mulled wine. I enjoyed the views from the boat.

Michel and the Skipper did a great job in entertaining us while giving explanations of the pieces of art! Drinks were served and warm blankets helped to fight the cold.

The group themselves are very disorganized and we had to wait for another boat because there are inconsistencies with the number of tickets they make available online and the number of tickets sold in person. However, our tour guide, Leks, was very patient and quite funny. He really made you interested in the lights. Rob, the boat driver, was very skilled. The sound the boat makes when it turns is kind of alarming, but do t be scared!

The excursion was very good and friendly staff also gave a good overview of the city network around Amsterdam

Personally I was disappointed in the light festival. The ride itself was fine, the people there did their job well but the tour itself was just okay. Expected more on that front and unfortunately it just didn’t deliver. I’ll 100% recommend the boat company just not this light festival tour.

Very enjoyable way to quickly see the city! Hosts were kind and knowledgeable. Art was beautiful and fun to see.

We waited 40 mins from time advised to arrive. It appeared they had overbooked or were trying to squeeze too many people on. The toilet can only be used for one form so dont go after big meal !! The windows steam up and constant battle to see out let alone take pictures. No sound system for guides.... however, the young guides were still really good, both in serving drinks but also the background information they gave

We were with captain Jack and his second chef (Sorry forgot her name) amazing young woman. she provided a lo of explanations about the lightings and was so attentive to our needs !!

Such a fun activity in Amsterdam! It was easy to find the meeting point as listed on the App, drinks were included which was bonus and the best part of the tour was the Captain (Moco) and the Host (Luuk Stad). They were excellent and extremely knowledgeable on not only the Light Festival but also Amsterdam. I would recommend this activity to everyone whilst in Amsterdam.

Our family of two adults and two teens took the boat cruise as part of our city break to Amsterdam, and really enjoyed it…the crew were lovely and very informative without being too overbearing! Mulled wine was nice and we were all well looked after, great views of the Lights and the city in general. Would definitely recommend this trip!

Arrived at the start time and was shown to a boat which was absolutely packed and we couldn’t find any seats, so we got off the boat to speak to the staff who said there must be room and they went to have a look, they came off and said that we need to find a seat and that some people with kids were taking up to much room and to ask them to move so we could squeeze around a table to which we said no as we hadn’t paid money to squeeze onto a boat, eventually they agreed to let us get the next one which was a smaller open boat which was much better and as it was open it was easier to see everything. The caption and boast on the boat were amazing, it was just a shame that the staff on the dock let this experience down!

Boat was late We sat at the dock for almost 30 minutes before we took off There were 2 guides on the boat One told the front of boat and the other told the back, so it was hard to hear with both talking at same time. The guy of course I had didn’t explain as much, he even said he didn’t know a lot of one of the lights. It was really not the best which was a bummer for my last night in Amsterdam. Choose a different experience.

The guide was friendly and funny however the windows were fogged up the whole time which made it difficult to see anything. We were expecting more holiday lights and it was more like just a canal cruise.

It was ok for the money, the ice room itself is really small. The bar area outside is lovely, drinks selection ok too. The 3 free drinks make up for the ice room experience

The tour exceeded my expectation, it’s been very fun! The light festival wasn’t that good, but the boat crew made my night!

We booked this experience after checking many reviews of all sorts of companies providing this trip experience. Some were with bigger boats, food and drink and heated blankets, but went with this company as the reviews seemed a lot more genuine and honest. And we are so glad that we did. It was absolutely fantastic from the start to the finish. The main feature for us was not just the wonderful light installations but the crew. Flores was the Captain of the boat and Sunil was the tour guide. They were both so friendly and chatty and Sunil was so funny for the whole of the time, with information on the installations, the canals, the buildings that we past and the people of Amsterdam. We had unlimited drinks and were provided with blankets if we needed them and Sunil and Flores managed to included everyone in the whole experience. I am so pleased that we went with this company and it is an experience that we will talk about for a long time. Many thanks to Flores and Sunil.

Nice opportunity to see this interesting light festival and the city by night. Make sure you wear warm clothes.

Great time. We enjoyed the evening lights and canal boat ride. We were given blankets and heated seats plus warm beverages and drinks. The guide and captain were very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend

There is very little Christmas, it is artwork not Christmas Themed. If you sit in the back its a better view and pleasent but you cannot hear host.

This was a cute experience. The tour guide and the boat driver were very knowledgeable. The company itself was very communicative. Would definitely use them again if in Amsterdam

We had such a wonderful time on the boat tour! Sophie did a great job taking us through not only the light festival art work, but also explaining the historical significance of sights along the way, including general Amsterdam history. The views were great and the tour was well run. I highly recommend doing it when in Amsterdam

It was a shame as it was 30 minutes late, which made us late to our dinner reservation. The boat was huge and we all had to squeeze at the back as the condensation on the glass made it misty and unable to see anything if you sat inside. Tour guide was friendly and explained the art well. Wouldn’t do it again.

The guide was excellent and not only described the lights in detail, but pointed out important buildings & architecture throughout the boat ride. She also made great suggestions for us to visit and kept everyone in drink during the boat ride. Highly recommended

It was great to be able to see the lights from the boat instead of walking it! My tour guide was a bit standoffish towards me but kind to other guests, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I personally wouldn’t take it again, and unsure if I would recommend it to other travelers because of it.
