Tour started promptly & Jerry spent as much time as we needed to show us sights. He ensured we experience wonderful Amsterdam treats (cookies, ollerbitten, stroopwaffles, etc.) The background he provided to various sites was very much appreciated as it enhanced our understanding & whetted our appetite for getting as much out of the tour as we did. An impeccable tour & we are so glad we met up with him. Could have easily spent more time!

Jerry was outstanding. We were running late and when we showed, he was extremely welcoming. He combined interesting facts with his unique brand of humor which made the tour really fun. We really liked how he talked about some personal experiences dealing with the canals. His restaurant recommendations were spot on. I wish we would have had booked his other tours during our stay. He is a can’t miss guide.

I booked this tour at the last minute, after reading positive reviews on Facebook groups. Jerry gave us a great walking tour of Amsterdam, filled with a lot of history, and some funny stories. During our tour he brought us to a popular brown café for a break, where we had bitterballen, a popular local dish. They were so good we went back on our own, the following day for some more. Our tour lasted over 3 hours, was well paced, and very enjoyable. Jerry gave us restaurant suggestions, and helpful tips and information for the rest of our stay. He was easy to understand and so nice. Would definitely recommend.

We took our walking tour with Jerry on our first day and he provided a fantastic introduction to Amsterdam. This was more like meeting up with an old friend who’s moved abroad and is excited to show you around their new home. We saw so much of the city and learned so much about the history, geography, art, and culture all while having a great time, enjoying some tasty treats and making a new friend. This was easily the best city tour we have ever done. Jerry is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Amsterdam, and we really enjoyed exploring the city with him. We especially loved looking at the old maps and photos he brought along, which helped us understand how Amsterdam has evolved over the years. He also took us to several local favorite cafes where we got to try delicious snacks and pie. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, but we appreciated it even more after getting to explore so many of its different neighborhoods with Jerry. The time flew by and I can't recommend this tour enough!

What an absolutely brilliant start to our break. Jerry was a joy to spend time with, and he has a great sense of humour. His knowledge was endless and he showed us sights we may not have thought about finding ourselves. We even managed to re-find his favourite bakery while out and about the next day, and oh boy, he's not wrong, the apple pie was out of this world. I would highly suggest and recommend this tour! Our guide was amazing to customize our tour since it ended up being just my daughter and I. He was very informative but not boring, and we saw so many things that made our experience so memorable! From local gems and treasure spots to the wonder of the city, it gave us ideas for other spots to see and visit at leisure. We had a very limited time in the city, and this was a wonderful way to take it all in and get an overview!

If you want to get an understanding of Amsterdam, the city layout and how it came to be, the culture and the history of the pp book this tour with Jerry. Jerry is the only tour guide so you will get him and he is the best- so knowledgeable and humorous. We learned so much in just 3 hours. You walk a lot but it’s at a relaxing pace and you cover lots of ground. Try to book his tour early in your stay as Jerry gives recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

Jerry Goldberg took me, My wife and a couple from USA on a three-hour walk tour. It was more like walking with a friend than with a tourist guide. It was a pleasant morning when we visited many old buildings and hidden churches. He regaled us with stories of miracles, wars and social infrastructure. Jerry doesn’t try hard to be humorous and he shares info in a non-patronising way. He himself is not a local so he understands what a tourist looks for. Although three hours seems a long time, the walk was leisurely and unhurried. So it does not tire you. Jerry told us that he prefers small groups which is what we too wanted. Would definitely recommend Jerry!

Had a brilliant tour with Jerry in Oct 25 - great history alongside hearing about life in Amsterdam now. He was really friendly and took into account what we were interested in seeing and hearing about. Got a good sense of the layout which helped with the rest of our trip. Stopped off a nice beer along the way in a traditional Dutch bar, and got dropped off at a wonderful place for jenever at the end with clear instructions about the best way to taste it! Would definitely recommend.
