Amsterdam Evening (Sunset) Canal Cruise With Optional Drinks

This boat trip was lovely. We left at 9 pm to experience an evening cruise. The group was fairly small. The tour guide was pleasant & informative. We chose to have a drink included. There was a choice of lager, wine, water or a soft drink.

The Captain (Skipper) I think Captain T was really knowledgeable it was great to learn about the geography and history and I must say he made me laugh out loud several times 🤭 My 2nd time to Amsterdam but first time really exploring so that was really great. Also I only booked 1 drink and I asked for another and he didn’t even mention paying or ask upon departure I thought that was really cool & welcoming. Thanks for the fun !

This was a great way relax on the canal. The guide was great and great at pointing out things. I would recommend it.

John Paul was our captain and he was very knowledgeable as well as being entertaining. We were able to get history and the "lay of the land". It was a beautiful time to see the city..

We went on the evening cruise, everyone was very friendly and we left nearly on time. The boat was lovely and very comfortable. Tim was chatty and gave us some great facts and insights about the city. It was lovely to see things from the canals - particularly as we went to areas we hadn't covered on foot.

First night in Amsterdam and very happy we had Caprain T show us around. He is awesome. He needs to win the tickets!

Unfortunately, our timing didn’t actually hit for sunset. However, Skipper Jack was a knowledgeable guide as he led us through the canals of Amsterdam. A one hour experience with Eco Boats that was a fun way to see the city via canal

Staff was very kind but if you are looking for a relaxing evening cruise do not book this one, guide talked the entire time and did not leave time to enjoy the views, historical tour was not in the description.

The tour was awesome and I highly recommend it! It was overcast and a little misty, but we were able to see the city lights just fine. Note: there are several different boat tours with boats docked in the same area. It was hard to tell which boat I needed. Others in my tour group had the same problem. The Viator app wasn’t working on my phone and although I made a printout of the reservation just in case, it didn’t have enough information. Luckily a different tour company knew which boat I needed and the Eco Boat tour guide was able to find my reservation by name.

Jack was an amazing and knowledgeable captain and I was grateful for the cover because I had a rainy day, but the boat was still nice and cozy. Also give yourself time because I missed my first boat 🤦🏽‍♂️ the company was nice enough to offer a later boat but I had plans already so I rebooked the next day instead—was happy to get a chance to see the amazing canals.

It was beautiful to travel the canals at night! The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining - answered all questions and attempted to get people laughing on a crowded boat.

We had a lovely time! Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. We learned more about the city and got to see all the beautiful scenery. Just make sure that you are at your boat at least 15 minutes early! (Though they were very accommodating for my slightly late group)

Knowledgeable guide, fun & interactive! Showed us the main points, answered all questions, good for English speaking tourists.

The boat was comfortable and Sam, our guide, was knowledgeable and fun. You’ll feel comfortable as a solo traveler.

It was a relaxing cruise and the night lights were a very nice addition. It was cool and rainy but not much can be done about that. Finding the meeting point was very difficult, especially not be from the area. The big break was seeing the boat returning from another cruise and watching where it parked.

My friend had taken one of these boat rides and didn’t like it, so I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised and entertained by Mr T! 2 suggestions: I wanted to leave him a tip, but don’t usually exchange currency, so having an electronic way to tip would be great. I would also suggest better directions to find the boat. There are so many. I went to the wrong place 3 times before finding the boat. Thank you!

Birthday celebrations with family after sunset. Got to see a side of the city you don’t see on foot. Really pretty it’s all the lights from the bridges and the streets, bars and houses. Knowledgeable staff and super friendly. Lovely little boat, cost and welcoming.

It was a nice experience the driver and girl on board were very good my only thing was it’s advertised as a sunset cruise and it wasn’t that it was still light skys but end of cruise

Arrived at 6.40 for 7pm cruise, lady told us to wait whilst getting boat sorted, no problem, then other people came along was told to board the boat so we were first there but last to get on due to staff not organising a queuing system, not organised, the guides and captain were fab and informative, just the checking in team let

Captain B did a wonderful job of sharing interesting and fun information as he skillfully navigated the canals at night. The experience was picturesque with lights coming from the gorgeous buildings and canal lighting and surprisingly peaceful in parts.

The tour was very relaxed, lots of great local history and stories shared. Captain Jay (i think) was fantastic!

Mark was terrific! He shared a lot of information about Amsterdam. Seeing the buildings from a canal cruise at night was just amazing. My friends and I really enjoyed the experience.

We started out in rain and mid way through our tour the clouds cleared up and turned into a pretty night. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Gabriella and Igor where very great tour guides ! Enjoyed the banter and the rosée during this beautiful tour ! Would also recommend this tour for the eco boat which also lets you go through narrow areas of the canal and the comfort of the boat itself.

Great experience, both the skipper and the person on board who offered drinks were knowledgeable and really kept us engaged and pointed out sights and little stories, and the duration of the cruise was perfect, as 1 hour would have been too short. Evening cruise also had the bonus of seeing the beautiful sunset.

We really enjoyed this evening cruise. It was a rainy night so no sunset but all the lights on and around the canals make it a really magical tour. The ‘captain’ was informative and funny and the cabin comfy and warm enough on a chilly night. We opted for the ‘one drink included’ price and the wine we had was decent enough. One small but important point for improvement is the joining point needs to be clearer. Yes, it’s easy to find the dock at Stationsplein, right outside Centraal Station but you need to say which company is running the tour as it’s a third party.

A must do tour in Amsterdam. Both David and Gabby were very entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed this canal tour. I would recommend this operator. Authentic and engaging.
