This canal cruise was definitely the best way to see Amsterdam at night!! The cocktails were delicious! Although the description says the cruise comes with only two cocktails each, there were also unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and red and white wines. Our tour guide was fantastic—she did an excellent job at providing commentary and was extremely attentive to the needs of all guests. Can’t wait to go on this tour on our next visit to Amsterdam!
Amsterdam by night seen from the canals is a must if you're in town, and this cocktail cruise does the trick while providing astonishingly good cocktails and plenty of snacks. Don't be thrown by the total chaos at the boarding pier, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. Our waiter on the boat provided some interesting tidbids about the sights and quite a bit more free food and drinks than were included in our tickets. I would definitely recommend this experience.
My friend and I really enjoyed our evening. We did the cocktail cruise *please note there is also a cheese and wine option as well. We had snacks and several cocktails which were yummy. The driver shared some history and facts as we cruised on the water. It's not the best for taking photo's as its so dark if you are doing it as more as a sight seeing trip, I would do a day cruise. The only odd thing was the boat wasn't full yet they had us sitting with another couple, so we just asked to move to another table that was free so we could have a window seat, which worked out fine. Just make sure you choose carefully as you can't swap from cocktail to wine due to numbers. Enjoyable evening, just make sure you pack a jacket as if people open their windows it gets cold. Otherwise the boat is covered and warm.
We booked this last minute via Trip Advisor, and so glad we did. The tour started at 8.30pm. It was either to find and on arrival the staffs were very welcoming and friendly. The tour last 1 1/2 - 2hrs. We thought it was a lovely start to our weekend, being shown around a lot of the main attractions and explanations of the places we were passing. We were offered two glasses of wine, two cocktails and nibbles. You certainly wont fill up on the nibbles, but it was a lovely touch. As the tour went on and it started getting darker it just became more of a beautiful view, with the canal & buildings lit up and the calming waters. My husband and I were glad we opted for the evening tour, and would recommend as a must when coming to Amsterdam. You feel you have seen a lot with the tour. Great for the price and would be suitable for couples or families.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I thought that it would be dark but the sun only goes down much later than when we did the cruise. Cocktails were excellent and the snacks were toast with various dips as well as crisps. The wine was flowing and the atmosphere excellent. Definitely not something to do by yourself though
DO NOT BOOK! We booked this tour almost a month in advanced based on the reviews and traveled August 6th, 2018. We expected a guided tour with at least some narration pointing out the sites. We were a party of 4 and were seated next to the toilet with an obstructed view and no ventilation. All other seats were taken -- although several with just 2 people. There was no narration at all -- the boat just went around for 90 minutes and then docked. The wine was flowing but not all of the cocktails on the menu were available because of a "problem with the kitchen." The whole made snacks were pieces of toast with dip. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED.
Went on this tour during our last few days in Amsterdam. It was interesting. Got to see a lot of the area we didn't see before by walking. The hosts were informative and they kept the wine pouring. We also stopped at a pizza parlor and were serviced individual pizza's. Very enjoyable.
Very nice, relaxing, 90 minute canal cruise. Two cocktails provided and the hosts gave occasional commentary.
Myself and my partner had done this cocktail cruise before a few years ago and we were back in Amsterdam in August 2017 with his sister and her partner and we booked to do the cocktail cruise again as we enjoyed it last time. I have to say this time round it was even better they kept the drinks flowing, the atmosphere was fantastic and it was nice going round seeing the sights. There were a few snacks and drinks were a couple of cocktails and then plenty of wine. The staff were great too. We had a lot of fun and left the boat quite merry.

Cruise was great. Service was great. The lights were a bit underwhelming and the guide book the city put out to follow each light sculpture was confusing.

Excellent cruise - loved seeing the canals all lit up. The boat was great and the cocktails and snacks were fantastic. There could have been a bit more commentary as the tour guide app didn't work.

Mediocre food and drinks. Enclosed boat. No tour guide announcements about anything.

Very good - would have preferred not to share a table

This was a lovely evening. The snacks, well we could do without them. But the service was super, the people working were very pleasant in every way. Amsterdam is a very interesting city!

Great overview of the city and a lovely vantage point to see it from. Everyone involved was friendly, the tour guide was fun and informative, and as others have mentioned, your wine glass is never empty. I would advise any of my friends who were traveling to Amsterdam to do this tour. If I travel back here in a year or two, I would do it again. One piece of advice... this is the same tour as the Wine and Cheese cruise... so if you prefer to have cheese included in your snack and don't mind skipping the cocktails and going for all wine, do that tour instead.

Even though it poured while trying to get there and it was hard to find in the rain, once on the canal, it was great. Wish there would have been more information given while on the tour.

Just a perfect way to travel the waterways and see the beautiful night line and people.

You lose some of the effect due to the late sunset at this time of year only dark the the last 30 minutes. If you're going for the cocktails, they were mediocre, with a limited section of standards.

Put your drinking pants on and get ready for a fun time! Poured the wine like water in between great cocktails

The route was rather disappointing for people who just came to Amsterdam and didn't have a chance to see much. We went through modern Amsterdam with absolutely bleak buildings and industrial constructions of the port at first. Only at the end of the tour the boat went into the old part of the city. Not good for the first experience! Later we took boats of other companies and discovered Amsterdam we expected to see.

However the stuff was very friendly and the cocktails were great.

Overall the drinks and snacks were great and the canal cruise was a lovely way to spend the evening. We were seated with a very nice couple on their honeymoon and the staff was very accommodating. Be aware that before you line up at the dock to board the boat, you must go to an office nearby to check in. We were not given these instructions beforehand. It would have been less frantic for us if we had known in advance. Overall, this cruise was a good value.

Thoroughly enjoyed! Great way to see Amsterdam. The Cruise follows a nice route so you get to see a lot. As well as get some information along the way. Cocktails and Snacks we're delicious - we thought it was all great value! Definitely recommend.

Even though it was raining the whole trip was memorable. The cocktails and wine flow was great making it a good value tour.

Exceeded expectations.Relaxing and informative.2 cocktails plus wine.Highly recommend.

This was probably the best tourist experience I can imagine in Amsterdam. The boat was of great quality, the staff were friendly and attentive and the drinks were brilliant and always kept topped up. What a way to see the city too, cant recommend this enough.

Unlimited wine, in addition to the cocktails. The cocktails were watered down but the wine made up for it. . I wish there was an option to for the snacks. There was a cheese plate and wine cruise. It was a great way to see the city at night.

Great cruise fab cocktails and free flowing wine... Cheers!! I personally didn't like the nibbles which consisted of fantastically crunchy croutons and tasteless dips.... Also we had very sleepy restless young babies/children on this 9pm cruise.... Adult only would be better in my opinion.
Still enjoyed a lovely way to see Amsterdam at night, all twinkly lights very pretty..

The whole trip from start to finish was excellent and was very good value for money.

we both really enjoyed it and would recommend it to do. all you can drink and the nibbles were lovely

Relaxing tour that was the perfect tonic after days of scheduled sightseeing. Good company and a great way to see the city from another perspective

It was a fantastic night out, fantastic friendly staff, great atmosphere, great cocktails, wine and snacks, an evening of great fun - would definitely do this again and highly recommend it.

Exchanged coupon for ticket at their offices near canal - no problem. Then waited about 20 minutes before being allowed to board the canal boat. The cocktail cruise was in conjunction with the cheese and wine cruise. Full boat. Had a choice of 6 cocktails - allowed 2. Have to say glasses were small!. provided with nibbles as well. Limited sights information provided as waitresses busy supplying drinks etc. Started off in daylight but soon went dark. Bridges are lit up at night which made tour more interesting. Overall a good night time tour, worth the money.

I have done 2 daytime canal cruises with various companies on previous Amsterdam trips. Those were great, but this time, I wanted a different perspective on this beautiful city. Cruise left at 9pm, just as the sun was setting in April in the summer -- when I usually visit -- it would definitely not be dark during the cruise. There was no commentary at all -- I do not know if this is typical for the evening cruise or there was perhaps an equipment failure on this trip -- so it was ok for our experienced group, but would not be ideal if you wanted to learn about the city and the sights you were passing. The nibbles were fine some chips and bread with various dips and the cocktails were better than we expected. Cocktail menu is limited there are only 5 choices but the very friendly staff was generous with the wine.

Enjoyed tour very much....staff were excellent. Would defiantly recommend

Floating on the canals is worth doing but for what I paid for the cocktail canal cruise was not worth my money. The cocktails were very small and we had to share snacks with our friends it wasn't like we got our own snack. I thought the people running the cruise would have pointed out some sights along the canal but the only sight they pointed out was the Anne Frank house and the church next to the house. I was a little disappointed in the cruise it was not what I had expected.

Lovely route, worth doing. Cocktails are not great. Wine saved this.

Loved it! My third one there to do, I recommend everyone do one!

Nice but could have missed the boat as the voucher incorrectly said 9pm when infact it was 8pm. Luckily we checked at the cruise place.

Lovely. Make sure you give yourself an extra 25 mins at the start to locate kiosk and queue but well worth the money and great cocktails.
J and M
London

The guide was informative, snack was not good though. The cocktails were fine, the strawberry tasted like medicine tho.
The tour itself was beautiful, the weather, the water, everything was perfect.

As I was only spending a night in Amsterdam, I chose the canal cruise so I can see all there is to see. Was not disappointed with the views.

They told us they overbooked the cruise, and had to squeeze 4 people on the boat at the last minute. It meant that 4 of us had to squeeze onto a table that was intended to seat two. The snacks were really not good at all - very poor quality and frankly not worth eating. The cruise itself was fine, but I was hoping for more descriptions of the areas we were cruising through. There were only 3 times during the course of the cruise that we actually got a description of what was outside.

Cruise was very pleasant, cocktails where very nice,l.The only complaint we had was that it took us ages to find the ticket office to exchange our tickets up, needs better signage.

We were first to arrive for the tour (over an hour early) but managed to one of the only two pairs who didn't have their own table. We ended up sitting next to strangers (who got the window seat), so unfortunately I spent a lot of time looking into the kitchen that I was facing rather than seeing the sights out of the window, which was a real shame. With that said, the tour was well run, the food was AMAZING and the drinks were generous. If you have a table to yourselves (groups of 4) and are able to see the sights out of the window, I imagine this is a 5* trip well worth recommending.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The staff were excellent.

Such a beautiful experience cruising the canals in the evening with the city all lit up. The crew were very friendly and efficient. The cocktails were simply delicious and there was also wine available for the whole cruise. There was so much of the nibblies I couldn't finish them, even couples who were sharing a plate! Would highly recommend it.

Well this tour was just about right not a full boat load but very comfortable. Our hosts for the night were both guides and waitresses. The boat seem to go everywhere with ease and we were kept informed of the sights and POI. It was value for money and we both enjoyed the night.

Inspite of the fact that all the construction makes it difficult to find the cruise, and their was confusion about folks booking a candlelight cruise coming on the cocktail cruise, the cruise itself was awesome. Xavier sorted out the issues with boarding with great aplomb and was very calm, friendly, helpful and successful in arranging the problems of boarding. Great experience. We've done it twice and will do it again....thanks

This tour was absolutely fantastic. The staff on the boat were so helpful. This trip made our hen weekend
