Great single speed bikes for the flats around Amsterdam. We took the countryside tour with Ties who was efficient and patient with our family of 5. We stopped by for lunch at a nice little cafe out in the countryside. We learned a lot about the history of Amsterdam and the surrounding region while also getting some exercise on a safe bike ride around! Thank you!

Lucas was a great tour guide! He kept us paced together, mindful of where we were at all times. His knowledge of the history and geography of the Netherlands and all of our stops on the tour was incredibly informative and left us feeling full and enlightened. He held good conversation and made us all feel very welcome and comfortable. Would definitely recommend
We had a fantastic tour of the countryside. Our tour guide Lucas was especially great in sharing history, context on the city/country, and being a fantastic conversant
We had our tour with Trey , he was wonderful
Beautiful 4 hour ride across northern Amsterdam villages and rural landscape. Great variety of scenery. Jan was an outstanding guide — very knowledgeable and considerate. Yellow bikes staff were also outstanding. Our principal reservation was the quality of the bikes — old, heavy one speed cruisers with pedal brakes that are difficult to use in tight start/ stop city traffic and not flexible at all for rural stretches of the journey. Yellow bikes urgently needs to modernize its inventory and retire these venerable relics.
Trey was an excellent guide who took us through the this tour and made it fun, despite some light rain. Highly recommend!
I went on this bike tour with my husband and 20 year-old daughters and we all thought it was the highlight of our Amsterdam stay. The weather could not have been better! Our tour was led by Trey, who was wonderful in every way! He was so knowledgeable, kind, and fun. It was our best day in Amsterdam! I would recommend this tour to anyone and I would absolutely do it again.
It was great to get outside the city and see the countryside. William was a great guide. Very nice day!
Excellent bike tour, well worth doing, really enjoyed it. We booked the 3.5 hour countryside tour, it was a short notice decision but the weather was sunny and we thought it would be nice to get out of the city. Great decision. The bikes were in good condition, the route was well chosen, the bike lanes are wonderfully safe. We even had a coffee stop in a lovely cafe in a nearby town. Our guide Willem was excellent. Lots of interesting facts about the waterways, and a nice friendly guy. Thanks.
Perfectly paced bike ride which was a welcome relief to the hustle of Amsterdam city. Willem was knowledgeable and very enjoyable. Highly recommend this for a change of pace.
Great trip. It was amazing to cycle round the villages; visit a farm shop for ice-creams; cross the river by ferry like the local Amsterdammers. Bikes were in great condition. Have booked another tour for our up-coming return visit to the city.
Great ride! You get a good taste of the less populated side of the area. Good stops for lunch, and a walk around a small town. Nice workout bonus too.
This was our second bike tour with Yellow Bikes in Amsterdam. We went on the 6 hour tour across the ferry into the countryside of Northern Amsterdam. It was easy cycling, made even more so by the electric bikes. David was our guide and was very knowledgeable. It was interesting to see the countryside and local villages. The living village where we stopped for lunch, was very quaint and it was great to see windmills for which of course The Netherlands is famous. I loved the whole day out and would be happy to go again.
Our guide was Willem and he was outstanding. He took us through the countryside and gave us such a great experience. We stopped at this little cafe and had the most wonderful coffee. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Willem
Great tour of the countryside. Our guide was amazing! Recommend comfortable clothing as it is a long way. Great way to see the farms and countryside
Max our cycling guide was very knowledgeable and we had an informative and enjoyable ride in the countryside. Highly recommended for those who want a relaxing ride while enjoying beautiful Amsterdam countryside scenery
Amazing ride, amazing view, amazing guide (Ian, our Don Draper!) - Strongly suggested for everyone - enjoying countryside
Lovely break from the city. Relaxing ride seeing the countryside and small villages. Few stops along the way to take pictures and a quick break for lunch
Easy bike ride on e-bikes, great guide (William), it was lovely to see the countryside of Amsterdam.
David L was our guide, and he was extremely informative. He made the tour very interesting, and paced it just right as we were different age groups. The bikes were in great condition and easy to ride. The service at the shop was professional and calm, despite it being very busy. We would thoroughly recommend Yellow Bikes and we shall we back in Amsterdam next summer, and will book another tour with them.
We took a small group, countryside bike tour- interesting, thoughtfully organized and geared towards the interests of the group. Our guide, Jan, introduced us to many aspects of Dutch culture, answered questions fully and handled various aspects of the tour with a sense of humour. Highly recommend!
The guide is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s great to see a different side of Amsterdam. I recommend this countryside village tour
Outstanding tour, a friendly and knowledgeable guide with some of the best scenery made a 40 km ride seem effortless. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
It was a blustery day and poured rain at times. Despite that we enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide Willem was excellent. Constant smiles and encouragement. We loved the pub stop. I would say this journey of 25 km would be a lot for children. Our 7 yr old road on a back seat and that was great. The 10 year old found it difficult on her own but made it!
Amazing tour of the countryside with David! He was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience that I would recommend.
This was an awesome adventure, and a great addition to our trip to Amsterdam. It was a great way to see the north side of Amsterdam, the countryside, and the small fishing villages. Our family group of seven (ranging from age 12 to 72) all enjoyed it. This was time and money well spent!
We took several tours during our week and a half vacation in Europe. David was by far, the best and most informative tour guide! It was great getting out of city center and experiencing a relaxing bike ride and the sights of the countryside. Bikes were in good shape as well!
Perfect way to leave the noise of central Amsterdam for the quiet roads of the Dutch countryside. Riding the ferry with our bikes was a fun experience and visiting Ransdorp was a highlight.
Lovely countryside tour. Better instructions for operating e-bike needed.due to Ltd biking experience often left behind w/o follow up
We did the maiden voyage of the Countryside and Villages Bike Tour. We absolutely loved the experience. This tour allows for all the enjoyment of biking without the fear associated with traveling through the city. We only rode in the city for a few minutes and boarded a ferry for a quick trip across to the countryside. We rode through beautiful parks and landscape. We reached our final destination and were given 90 minutes to explore cheese making, clog making and windmills. We sampled a lot of cheese and made a little picnic right in the lovely village. The e-bikes were in pristine condition easy to ride and lock. Our host, Jorgan was knowledgeable, caring and fun. We would do this again and it was a highlight of our visit to Amsterdam.
Spectacular…Our guide stopped several times to tell us about the history and culture of where we were riding. He also rode at a speed comfortable for a group of a range of ages. What a gorgeous rural route, passing fields of cows, cottages, green fields, and bodies of water. We have had a wonderful week in Amsterdam, and this was certainly a highlight for the last day of our visit.
It was a nice trip. I had contact with the organization several times in advance and the questions and requests were handled promptly. We were in a group with various nationalities, so explanations were in English, but that was no problem for us. Nice tour.
