See Amsterdam on the UNESCO listed Canals of Amsterdam
This basilica features an impressive facade with twin towers and a central dome, while its interior boasts beautiful stained-glass windows, intricate artwork, and a majestic organ. The church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and Amsterdam, reflecting the city’s maritime heritage. Visitors often appreciate its serene atmosphere and rich historical significance, making it a key landmark in the heart of Amsterdam.
Designed to resemble a traditional Chinese pagoda, Sea Palace provides a distinctive dining atmosphere. The interior is adorned with authentic Chinese decor, creating an immersive cultural experience. With seating for up to 600 guests across three floors, the restaurant accommodates both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
In 1606, the tower was enhanced with a decorative spire designed by architect Hendrick de Keyser, giving it its current iconic appearance. The spire includes a clock and carillon, which was added to make the tower more visually appealing after it lost its defensive purpose.
This canal is lined with traditional Dutch canal houses, houseboats, and a mix of residential and commercial buildings, reflecting the city’s blend of historical and modern living. Its tranquil waters and scenic surroundings make it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
The Amstel is the iconic river from which Amsterdam derives its name. Flowing through the heart of the city, the Amstel is central to Amsterdam’s identity, offering scenic views and a connection to the city’s rich history and culture.
The Blauwbrug (Blue Bridge) is one of Amsterdam’s most iconic bridges, located over the Amstel River and connecting the Rembrandtplein area to the Waterlooplein area. It is named after the original wooden bridge that stood in the same spot in the 17th century, which was painted blue.
The H’ART Museum is a prominent art museum situated along the Amstel River in Amsterdam. Established in 2009 as a satellite of the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, it rebranded to H’ART Museum in September 2023 after severing ties with its Russian counterpart in 2022
The Dancing Houses (Dutch: Dansende Huisjes) is a nickname given to a row of historic, leaning canal houses located along the Damrak canal in Amsterdam. Ask our guide why these houses lean
The Oude Kerk (Old Church) is Amsterdam’s oldest building and parish church, located in the heart of the city’s historic De Wallen (Red Light District). It was consecrated in 1306 and has since served as a significant religious, cultural, and architectural landmark.
The Red Light District (De Wallen) in Amsterdam is one of the city’s most famous and controversial neighborhoods. Located in the heart of the city near the Oude Kerk (Old Church)
Zeedijk is one of Amsterdam’s oldest and liveliest streets, located near the Nieuwmarkt in the city center. Once part of the city’s defensive sea dike, it has transformed over the centuries into a vibrant area known for its cultural diversity, historic landmarks, and bustling atmosphere.

Lor was the best guide! He gave a great tour and it was a great experience overall :) highly recommend!
Brilliant boat tour by Lor, great stories told and all in all super entertaining and interesting. 10/10 can’t miss it!
Jack from Ecoboats was a phenomenal host and had a lot of local knowledge about the canals. Would go again
It was a clear and sunny day, but chilly. My wife was initially concerned the boat was not covered, but blankets and a rose helped with that. Excellent guide, the electric boat was unexpected and lovely and quiet. I think the uncovered boat encouraged focus on the scenery and so is a good thing. Would recommend.
Jack was a really nice and frendly skipper Amazing tour !!
Great, flexible, superkind when we were late! Boats are confortable and easy to ride, people workimg there nice l, professional amd really kind.
Captain K was amazing!!! Thank you so much
We had scheduled the tour through Viator for 3:00 but when we arrived at the meeting place there was no signage or boats and we didn't know where to go. When a boat came in and a staff person arrived around 3:10 we were told the tour was at 3:30 but we were clearly booked for 3:00. It was raining and although the boat was covered it was still cold. Blankets were available but we weren't aware of this at first. Drinks were provided, which was nice, but the drink coolers were on top of compartments in the center of the boat and blocked the view out the other side. However, the tour guide was very nice, very knowledgeable and informative, and a careful driver, and he patiently answered our many questions. We were a little sorry that we booked this tour in advance because there are so many tour boats available we felt like we really didn't need a reservation. Also, because it was cold and rainy we wished we had scheduled one of the enclosed boats rather than this one, which had roll-up plastic rather than solid windows. This boat would have been fine on a warmer, drier day.
Enjoyable trip. Pleasant weather helped. The boat captain gave some insights along the way but I felt he could have done more
Rug up in October because it was quite cold at night time but it was worth it. Don’t rely on your GPS to find the venue, ask a tour operator, they are very friendly.
What a lovely and informative trip with Bob today! Would highly recommend! Boat was comfy too!
Really lovely boat trip! Our guide Jack was super knowledgeable, funny, and overall made the experience a fun time.
We had an absolutely wonderful time! Since the group and the boat are smaller, we could go through a lot of the little canals that the bigger boats can't go into which was really great to see some of the more remote areas of Amsterdam. Captain Jack told us very interesting stories about Amsterdam, with a great sense of humour which was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed our time and it was definitely worth it! Would 100% recommend!
Fascinating tour - Jack was so informative and funny!
This was a nice activity but the tour guide was rather casual about his job and cursed quite a bit. We went on a rainy evening, so that also affected the success of the trip. I would recommend taking the tour during the day to see more sights.
Very enjoyable cruise and good, friendly atmosphere. Jesse is a very good skipper.
Superb tour and great tour guide Jack! Thank you for a great experience 😁
Great guide and trip. Beautiful and informational. Recommend the 5pm option so you have half in daylight and half as evening starts. Only complaint is that it was said to be open air but we had a canopy :( which limited viewing and changed the expected experience.
The tour guide makes all the difference. Get the all inclusive drinks…it’s worth it. Captain Jack is the BEST!
Captain T was amazing! Great info and great jokes!
Fantastic cruise and made so much more entertaining by Captain T! Great local knowledge and great value for money.
Excellent tour with Jack. So informative and friendly. We paid for the drinks onboard which was a lovely extra experience. Beautiful bright sunny day and we saw all the sights and learnt a lot about the history of Amsterdam.
Greta experience jack was knowledgeable and fun.
We had such a great time touring Amsterdam with Eco Boats and with Jack as our guide. Jack is both funny and informative. Great value for the money. The one negative is that the letting point was not easily found.
Jack is really good and entertaining
The whole experience was exceptional - Meeting point was easy to find, Jack was outstanding with his knowledge about the history and he was very funny. Learnt so much and would definitely recommend
Our tour guide Jack was really nice and told us great stories Great route and it is with a small group so it is easy to get the questions that you want to know the answers to asked Very fun recommend
Had a very nice little cruise, would definitely recommend. Large variety of drinks to choose from
Really enjoyed this tour! Our skipper, Merry unsure how to spell his name was great. I love the included drink, dont think you would need the unlimited drinks imo.
Excellent tour with Jack! Very informative.
Lovely trip with Mark, a really friendly and knowledgeable guide. Pretty, open top boat with warm blankets. Recommended!
David was very friendly and Knowledgable! He even gave us plenty of recommendations for places to visit in the city after the tour.
Friendly and knowledgeable captain Bob made this a lot of fun and was happy to answer all of our questions.
Because this is a small boat it can access more interesting smaller canals Mark the guide was very informative and interesting
Pedro was great - very informative and beautiful way to see the city.
We had an amazing experience by visiting Amsterdam from the canals. The captain and Francesca took care of us and we couldn’t ask for more. Thank you very much for making this experience memorable. I strongly recommend 😊
Our captain who had a nice Dutch name but can only remember him as Captain Merry was so nice and informative. I went at the 6pm time slot so it was a great experience to see all the lights turn on and the sun setting. Highly recommend this tour. Also Captain Merry looks so much like Tom Brady!
Very great! Informative, perfect for our group!
David was amazing great tour he had good information on the city great voice good personality
It was so nice cruising with David Special thanks for the jokes !
Let us on even tho we were late very kind about it
Small boat small group is the way to go! Excellent tour! Definitely do the canal tour at night to see all the lights.
This is the best way to discover Amsterdam, everything looks different from the boat! The captain was also very nice, he gave us funny anecdotes about the city and kept a warm atmosphere among the clients. Would definitely recommend.
Captain K was very knowledgeable and funny. Enjoyed it thank you
We had an amazing experience with captain K and Ben who was learning the ropes. He was so knowledgable about all of Amsterdam and also answered all questions that we that had. It was a very welcoming experience and I learned so much. The free bar is also a great option that we made use of.
Thought I’d booked with Captains Jacks, although as it turned out I didn’t but our captain was called Jack…he was fab! Smiley, friendly, knowledgable and had great stories! A very jolly one hour spent!
Bob is the best. Bob for the win. Book bob
Great tour. Our guide Bee was excellent Really liked that he was doing the tour as a conversation rather than blasting g us with info. This made the tour more relaxed and really enjoyable. Thank you Bee.
