My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience touring Amsterdam’s beautiful canals at sunset with Marc. The city is spectacular from the water, particularly as the sun begins to set, and Marc made the experience truly memorable. He was charming, knowledgeable, engaging, and an exceptional host. It felt less like a typical tourist excursion and more like exploring Amsterdam with a good friend who knows and loves his city. A highlight of our visit and an experience I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Thank you, Marc, for a fantastic evening!

A wonderful canal tour with a great, knowledgeable and engaging guide. Amsterdam by night was absolutely beautiful, with the lights reflecting on the water adding to the atmosphere. Best of all, dogs are welcome, so my German Shepherd could come along and loved every minute! The guide was also very flexible and kindly dropped us off closer to home. A great experience for the whole family and highly recommended.

I wanted a private canal tour but didnt want the $300-$400 price tag. I got this recommendation from ChatGPT and was NOT disappointed. The owner/guide gave us easy instructions to find the location. The tour was a mix of relaxation, great fun and very informative. The guide had snacks and drinks and blankets. We very much enjoyed this and highly recommend it.

Me and my partner booked this boat tour and it was absolutely fantastic! Our tour guide was really nice and attentive and told us a few things about the city. On board, there was tea, coffee, and other snacks and drinks. There was also a bouquet of flowers on the table, which made the experience quite romantic. The cruise was very idyllic. We’ll definitely book another cruise with this operator on our next vacation in Amsterdam!

We booked the sunset cruise. Our captain, Paap was so knowledgeable, sharing both the history and love for his country. It rained quite hard and we were so pleased that the boat was covered and we weren’t getting soaked as some of the participants on other tour boats were. Our boat was comfortable and Paap provided nice small touches; the warm blankets were the best! We had a great evening and got lots of recommendations for places to visit during our stay. Highly recommend this small private tour!

Great tour with Paap, even with the rainy conditions! He provided us with a lot of architectural and historical information about the canals. The drinks and snacks, especially the black licorice, were a nice touch!

Our group had an incredible canal tour with our skipper, Deep. He was an awesome guide-friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about Amsterdam. He taught us so much about the city, from its history and culture to its laws and everyday life, and was happy to answer every question we threw at him. The whole experience felt relaxed, personal, and genuinely fun. Deep gave us a much better understanding of Amsterdam and helped shape the rest of our time in the city. It was easily a 10/10 experience for everyone in our group. We would absolutely book another tour when we return, especially if we could have Deep as our skipper again! And the best part was actually the music, made the vibe incredible.

He gave great explanations of the sights, was extremely welcoming and hospitable (responded right away on WhatsApp), and is a very safe and experienced boat driver. Viewing Amsterdam while floating through out the canals....while having wonderful conversation with a guide .. ....is a Must Do ! Our guide shared info about the architecture...Amsterdam history...day to day living...and current culture. My wife and I only had one day in Amsterdam. We booked 2 activities. Anne Frank Home and this private canal tour. Deep was the Captain of the vessel for us. He welcomed us and offered beverages. He then proceeded to navigate the canals as only an experienced and passionate could both navigate and discuss. He answered each of our questions as he pointed out so many interesting facts all along the journey. He was early for our meeting and delivered us back to the same location in exactly 90 minutes. What a great experience. Lucas picked us up right on time and was an incredible skipper. He talked to us a little before the ride started to get a sense of our interests and took us to a couple places he gleaned would be special, like the bridge shown in the show Ted Lasso. Kids loved the diversity of soft drinks available. We had another museum outing scheduled after the ride and he dropped us off closer to where we needed to be than the starting point was. Boat was very clean and quiet (electric). I would highly recommend this private canal cruise for a group or family (particularly one with small kids). We would absolutely fo this again with Book A Tour Amsterdam. Finally, we originally scheduled our tour on a Friday. Because of a flight cancellation from our home country we would not make our originally scheduled tour. The company change our date and time per our request without any charge. That really meant the world to us and shows the character and positive business practices this company espouses.

We really enjoyed our experience. The company helped us find a nearby pizza place which we enjoyed on the boat. The ride was very safe and relaxing, with the captain being super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

Our skipper was Alex and he provided a great experience on our canal cruise. Lots of information and pointed out so many beautiful buildings and boats as well. Learned a lot, had a relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise.

We had a great tour with our friendly and informative guide Paap. He was kind and patient and simply had good energy. My 12 year old thought he was very cool. We stopped at a local street market that was not too touristy and we learned a bit of Amsterdam history that we didn’t know. It was simply a good time with a nice quiet boat, beverages and a good tour guide.

The private canal cruise is the way to go - we had a beautiful early evening cruise with Skipper Paap who was super knowledgeable, friendly and very capable on the canal. We had an amazing time on our canal cruise with Captain Deep: it was relaxing, educational, and beautiful. It rained a little bit, but we stayed warm and dry with the heated seats and overhead cover. I can’t think of a better introduction to the city of Amsterdam.
