Amsterdam's Market Street Food Tour With Streat Bites

We had such a wonderful time on our food tour of Albert Cuyp Market! Inbal was a fantastic guide - warm, knowledgeable, funny, and full of fascinating stories about Amsterdam, its food, and the people behind the local shops. From Dutch classics to Surinamese and Asian flavours, we got to taste so many delicious things and discover places we would probably never have found on our own. But what made the tour truly special was the personal touch. Inbal, who have been living in Amsterdam for 9 years, made us feel like we were exploring the market with friends rather than taking a tour. And yes, even my husband , who was dressed for a Middle East winter rather than an Amsterdam one, survived the cold and tried the herring! 😆 A lovely experience, great food, and a genuinely good time. Highly recommended if you want to experience Amsterdam beyond the usual tourist spots!

The food tour with Streat Bites was amazing! We stopped at multiple local food spots and sampled some great food! Guy was extremely knowledgeable about the local culture and food, giving us excellent explanations about everything we sampled. The group we went with was a lot of fun and it was nice to talk to other travelers and a few locals on the tour. We definitely left stuffed with food and great memories!

This tour was so fun, it was full of different foods, stories and history. It was very entertaining and everything was delicious. It was our first food tour and it did not disappoint.

WE HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Family of four - me, my husband, our adult children age 25 and 22. One of our children is celiac (allergic to wheat) and I didn't want her to miss out. I communicated with the owners (Inbal) in advance, and she customized a personal that accommodated the allergy. While the three of us gluten eaters enjoyed our delicious food and the stories about the people and families behind the Albert Cuyp market stalls, Inbal and the amazing Ofir made sure that our celiac kid missed NOTHING. This was one of our favorite experiences during our week in Amsterdam - delicious food, our family had a wonderful experience, and we shared laughs with Inbal and Ofir. And as an added bonus, Inbal took photos of our family and shared them with us afterwards! Truly not to be missed! Personal, friendly, delicious and FUN!

They were super nice and super informative. They took us to very tasty places, but only those with a Dutch story making it a super experience.

Our Streat Bites tour started on time after meeting the host, Inbal at the Hema store not far from the Albert Cuyp Market. The tour was outstandingly conducted at a comfortable pace by a guide who’s very passionate about food, Amsterdam and ensuring all the guests had a great time during the three hour adventure. Totally fantastic experience. Went with husband and 11 year old son, both had a blast. We don’t eat meat or seafood and Inbal fit everything your needs (but we sure had herring!). We would never have found these foods and the stories were interesting and so local.

Absolutely incredible food tour of Amsterdam! I cannot recommend this experience enough. The price was absolutely worth the amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, and accomodating guide, Inbal. The tour was 2.5-3 hours of learning about Amsterdam and the diverse food scene. Truly an incredible experience and one I would book again if back in Amsterdam.

Fantastic! This tour should really be called Food/History/Culture tour with some architecture thrown in for good measure. The emphasis was certainly on food but the engaging guide ensured that we learned so much more than just enjoying copious amounts of of food. What an enriching and enjoyable experience!

This was the absolute highlight of our 10-day trip to the Netherlands & Belgium (despite lots of competition)! We had so much fun sampling & learning about exquisite foods, many we never would have tried otherwise. Inbal’s kindness, warmth, and storytelling wrapped the whole experience in joy & delight! And she took such lovely photos of my husband & I—some of the best from our whole trip! I cannot recommend this experience more highly (and I seldom take time to write reviews). But StreatBites was the absolute best!!

We spent a most enjoyable morning with Inbal exploring the Albert cuyp market and de pijp neighborhood. We started the morning with a traditional Dutch pastry. Over the course of the next few hours, we sampled a variety of croquettes from Febo (delicious and so fun to use the dispensing equipment in the store!), homemade Turkish stuffed grape leaves and another dish, a variety of Indonesian and Surinamese dishes, poffertijes, artisan cheese, and a stroopwaffle from Rudi’s. Along the way, we learned so much about living in Amsterdam and had a fantastic time!

We had an amazing private culinary tour with Roy! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable for the whole family. We tasted delicious food, learned interesting stories about Amsterdam, and discovered places we would never have found on our own. Roy was fantastic with the kids! I had a day by myself in Amsterdam and wanted to do something fun and interesting, this walking food tour hit the spot. We had a small group which made it really intimate and we could ask Inbal lots of questions. I was so full after eating all the yummy food. It was also interesting to hear some of the history of the area we were in and Amsterdam in general.

There were 4 of us (mom, dad, a teenage girl, and a young boy), and we all had such a wonderful time! It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Ori (12), who is just starting to open up to new flavors, is still talking about FEBO, and he even enjoyed the fish! And Dana, our vegan, was treated with the utmost care and had an amazing experience. I highly recommend this to everyone

We had an amazing tour with Inbal who took us around and had us try local favorites and family owed cuisines. Not only were the portions HUGE, we learned about the cultures and how they integrate into Amsterdam's food scene. Inbal was so knowledgeable about the city and the food we learned so much. Be aware, you eat A LOT we were so full after our tour we almost did not need dinner! Thank you so much we enjoyed the tour and was a highlight of our time in Amsterdam.

What an amazing experience the Hidden Gems tour was. Our small group learned so much from Guy! In our hours together, we tried things we never would have tried on our own as well as a few things we desperately wanted to try but hadn't been able to arrange. Do not plan to eat dinner after this afternoon tour! What a delicious, fun, and engaging way to see some parts of Amsterdam that we could not have found on our own. I am grateful we stumbled across this fabulous tour.

Inbal was super lovely from the first moment. She greeted us with gluhwine and local cake to kickstart the day, and it was all great food and fascinating stories ever since. Her warm nature, vast knowledge and true love of food and people turned the experience to much more than a tasting tour. We got to understand the history the Netherlands through its culinary past and present, while walking around having amazing food. I wish I could do it again!

We loved our food tour, in Amsterdam, with Guy. The food and drink we sampled were delicious. The venues we stopped at represented various local offerings. Places we would not have found on our own. We had an opportunity to meet the owners and workers such that we felt like we were joining the community. Guy is very knowledgable and personable. He taught us about these traditional offerings, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with him. He even got us to sample the herring - delicious! I would definitely recommend this tour.

We only had two nights in Amsterdam so we knew we wanted to book a food tour so we could quickly taste the local cuisine. We absolutely chose the right tour! There were only four of us and Guy was the best host! We ate so much food, we weren't hungry for dinner! Beyond eating amazing bites, we learned so much about Amsterdam's culture and food. Guy emailed us after the trip with photos from the experience, which was such a nice gesture! He is a photographer as well so the shots are frame worthy and really enhanced our experience. I will 100% take another tour with Guy next time I'm in Amsterdam!

This tour was a great intro to Dutch food culture and its influences. It was a chilly, rainy day which put a bit of a damper on things, but that’s obviously uncontrollable, and we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. Inbal is an excellent guide - she has great energy and lots of stories that bring the food vendors and the food itself to life. She’s also a really impressive photographer! Shortly after it ended, she sent pictures of me and my husband from throughout the tour. Come hungry and get ready for delicious bites along the way.

Market street food tour was brilliant. There was a story about every stop and the guide clearly had a brilliant relationship with the local businesses he’s supporting. Food included in the price was unbelievable. We tried so many traditional bites along the way.
