Ruby Emma Hotel Amsterdam

It’s not that far from the city center, only 4 stops to the Centraal if you take the metro. I love the fact that it is situated away from the bustle of the city center. Smart room, controlled via the ipad at the bedside and everything was spotless. Bar near the reception area serves amazing cocktails and the personnel of the hotel are friendly.

Rooms look very good and were very clean - bed was comfortable BUT they are so minimalist and modern they are not as practical as regular rooms. Good for one person travelling but very tight for two. Toilet so small you can just fit around the door to close it. Sink in middle of room not practical, water sprays into bedroom when you turn it on. Very minimal storage. NO AIRCONDITIONING - thank goodness they gave us a fan when I asked. The lack of air conditioning is really an issue - it is so stuffy in the upper floors when there are no windows that can be opened - the fan made a good difference. iPad electronic room controls was really a waste of time. To be honest money better spent would have been on manual lights and air conditioning. Staff were so very lovely and buffet breakfast was sensational!!

We had a wonderful stay at Ruby Emma Amsterdam and were really impressed by the hospitality and kindness of the entire team. Our room was absolutely amazing. We stayed on the 17th floor, and the view was incredible — we could see so much of Amsterdam from our room. Waking up to that view was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special thank you to Elina, Ines, Celeste, Andrea, Rossana, Malia, Sean, Charly, Ahmed, Nicky, and Cop for making our stay so pleasant and memorable. Their professionalism, positive attitude, and attention to guests really stood out to us. Traveling with our little baby can sometimes be challenging, but the team made us feel comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. It’s not just the beautiful hotel and amazing views that made our experience special — it was the people and the great hospitality. We truly appreciate all the help and kindness we received. Thank you, Ruby Emma, for a fantastic stay! We had a great experience and would be very happy to come back again. ❤️

This was the second Ruby location my boyfriend and I have stayed at, and we actually choose cities that have a Ruby hotel because we love Ruby by IHG so much. The aesthetic, atmosphere, and overall experience match our style and needs perfectly. We especially love the hands-off luxury feel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a bathtub, comfortable bed and pillows, and a TV with both Chromecast and Apple TV. Everything worked perfectly. We stayed in September and, as two Canadians who normally keep our home around 20–21°C, we really appreciated how cool the room was. At around 18°C, it was actually chilly for us while sleeping, which was perfect! We also opted out of housekeeping for the complimentary drink voucher, which was an easy choice because we love Ruby’s bars and the talented bartenders they bring on board. On our last night, we met Charlie, who was absolutely phenomenal. They made us feel completely at home, chatted with us like an old friend, and made us some delicious cocktails. It was the perfect way to end our stay. The location was also incredibly convenient, only about a four-minute walk from the train station, making it easy to get around the city. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely continue choosing Ruby whenever we travel somewhere with a location. We can’t wait to see where Ruby goes next!
