Cockroach(!) at breakfast on one of the plates crawling around. This is not ok. I would not recommend eating here (diner or breakfast). When I told the staff about the cockroach they did remove it but they responded as if it happened on regular basis... You know the saying: if you see one cockroach there are more. The room was allright, just a bit dated. For the price reasonable. With a bicycle it is about 20-25 minutes to the centre. If you take a detour next to the Amstel it is a great route. Checking takes forever. About 10 minutes (the queue excluded) Which is very long.

Decent Hotel in Amstelveen, south of Amsterdam. The location is a bit remote but still okish. Very nice staff and also the Breakfast is very good. As a family of 4, we’ve booked an 2 Bedroom apartment. The room itself was great, however the bathroom, especially the shower was unfortunately useless. Three different shower heads could not make up for the fact that no matter what you did, the water was running into the bathroom and not in the drain. With four people showering, the bathroom was constantly flooded. For the price of the room - even if it was only 2 nights - almost unacceptable. Just hope that the other rooms have a better setup.
It is a very comfortable and spacious hotel. There is a microwave, stove, dishwasher and fridge which ia really helpful. The houaekeeping however needs some attention, you have to book the cleaning of your room which was no problem for me but then they would not either clean the bathroom or dust down the room. You have to request all this cleaning. Checking out was crazy as i had to wait 30 mins in a que as there was only one person working that day and a que that was reaching the restaurant. If you have a plane to catch yiunmight want to check out at least an hour earlier than you intended otherwise you will miss your flight. The restaurant is amazing though. Food is fantastic.
Having stayed at the Radisson multiple times, I genuinely enjoy a lot of what this property has to offer. The location works well if you're driving, the breakfast spread is generous, the rooms are spacious, the kitchenette is a nice touch, and the gym is well-equipped. Solid foundations all around. That said, there's one area that's been increasingly hard to overlook - housekeeping. For a hotel averaging EUR 190-200 a night for my stay, the standard of room upkeep has been, frankly, disappointing. I understand that daily cleaning isn't always the norm anymore but , in a 15-day stay, having to repeatedly request a basic clean after a week- and then receiving one that falls well short is another matter entirely. On more than one occasion, sheets hadn't been changed, the bathroom was left unattended, rubbish hadn't been cleared and the floors hadn't been vacuumed. When I raised the issue, the Housekeeping Manager was genuinely kind and transparent about a staffing shortage. I appreciated the honesty — but a guest paying a premium rate shouldn't have to absorb the consequences of an internal operational challenge. That's not a guest problem to manage. Radisson, you have a lot going for you here. Sort out the housekeeping and this becomes an easy five stars. Until then, it's a reluctant 3.5 rating from me, I'm afraid.
The rooms were nice and huge. Our room was overlooking one of the water canals so it was nice. You can cook in your rooms, sufficient cooking utensils as well as all fridge available. (No oil provided) I really liked that they have laudry service (for free) in the hotel! But the machines are quite often occupied and the dryer doesnt seem to work that well. The location however is terrible for folks that dont drive. Its at least a 15 minutes walk to the nearest public transport and it is really dark and quiet at night. If you drive, no concerns! Plenty of parking and this area is really nice and tranquil. Service might need to be improved. Spotted some dirty cups. Security wise might also need to be stricter (e.g. more thorough checks before giving extra access cards)
