This review comes much later than my stay however, I will never forget it. I had never experienced a fresh towel on the floor next to fresh slippies after my room was refreshed. I came back to my suite after exploring Netherlands all day (disoriented) & thought someone else had been staying there the way the slippies & towel were placed. Comical me! I do appreciate such courtesy. There was so much to do/see inside of this hotel but most of my time was spent exploring/learning Netherlands. I enjoyed the gym & my bed the most but I will have to experience the masterpiece of an indoor pool next time for certain. 🙏 My room service was served beautifully & I enjoyed the richness of the pistachio pudding with chia seeds so much I wished I could take it with me to snack everywhere I went. The concierge was most informative as I was looking to indulge in the true history/culture of New Amstel. The front desk was so kind to offer a vehicle to transport me to my next location after checkout, but I needed the local experience, so I chose to take public transit. I care about the people here...not too good for public transit & not too modest that I don't appreciate the finer things because I definitely do. This was my 1st time splurging on a place to stay, I enjoy frugality like an inner competition with myself, but I needed this level of luxury in my life for certain. Thankful for my Chase IHG rewards card & its collaborators.

I stayed here for my birthday at the weekend and it was a beautiful hotel. The Service in the hotel was amazing and staff were so lovely. Very attentive. The breakfast was also first class. The only thing I would say is the service in the bar outside at night was a little slow. Myself and my partner ended up leaving before our order was taken as we were sitting a little too long with no one approaching us. Other than that I cannot fault the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Amstel Hotel Amsterdam. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Room service was quick and efficient, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of food. The location is fantastic just outside the busy city center, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being very well connected. A metro station is only a 2 minute walk away, making it easy to explore Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and clean. The only issue we experienced was with the TV, which kept turning on by itself every few minutes. Aside from this minor inconvenience, everything else was excellent. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

My friend and I chose this hotel because of its excellent location and the high standards from the InterContinental brand. We had a very pleasant stay and spent a few wonderful days here. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent, made even better by the beautiful view of the Amstel River. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was beautiful, cozy, and well maintained. The breakfast team was professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Special thanks to Milena and a blond young man from the front office team (I’m not sure whether he was a bellboy or a receptionist), both of whom assisted us greatly during our stay. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we return to Amsterdam, it will certainly be our first choice again.
