5 out 5 stars. I messed up the booking and hotel reception were very helpful and sorted it for us at no extra cost. The Hotel itself is amazing, it's everything we expected. Location is so close to Dam Square and everything you want to see in the De Wallen area. It's a shame we can't stay longer.

A really lovely hotel, it's crazy how peaceful it feels considering how close it is to a really busy area. Our room was very comfortable and the staff all super friendly and helpful. The Lobby restaurant is also fantastic, we had lunch and breakfast there and both were very tasty.
We made our booking through booking.com. And unfortunately even though we picked a "pay at the hotel", option with full cancellation policy and a free taxi option to airport; t we were charged immediately and didn't have a cancellation option which caused us to email back forth with booking and the hotel itself for 3 days. The hotel suggested a %10 percent refund which wasn't enough but we accepted because we did not want to spend our entire holiday dealing with this. And they did do that when we arrived which I appreciate but to be able to that they cancelled our reservation and charged us again which again lead to another problem; we lost our free taxi option and ended up paying for that. Overall we were unhappy about paying that amount of money. but other than that, the hotel and the staff was nice.
The location is perfect. Very great starting point for anything you want to do in Amsterdam. The room however is lacking. There was no thermostat and it was pretty warm so we opened the windows. Unfortunately because the location is so good the folks partying till 3 in the morning will wake you up on their way home. Unbelievable to me at this price point there is no way to control the room temperature. 25 years ago as a younger person I would have loved this place, but 25 years ago I couldn't have afforded it. Overall a fine place but for the money you can do better.
Fantastic location, great rooms, and very friendly and helpful staff. It's on a central but quiet street. We had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking a back courtyard. It was perfect - no external noise and no irritating room noises (like extractor fans or AC). An easy walk to stations (both central and metro) and many eating options. Great room facilities. Our room rate included breakfast - no buffet, but lots of good choices from the breakfast menu. (It was tricky to contact the hotel in advance to confirm our request for a twin room, but I did get a reply shortly before our stay). I'd stay again.
