Mahmoud Issa did a wonderful job with pick up at Sheraton Hotel and drive to and from Jerash. The on site guide also was superb - and patient! Highly recommended!

Itinerary
Begin your private tour with a pick up from your central Amman hotel, and travel by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to Jerash with your own private English-Speaking Driver who doubles up as your guide.
Wander among the original temples, theaters, plazas, paths, and colonnaded streets; all enclosed within the remaining city walls. Within the city walls have been found the remains of settlements dating from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Umayyad and Abbasid periods, indicating human occupation at this location for more than 2,500 years
A local English-Speaking Guide will be included for your classic 2 hours visit of this Roman Decapolis City of Jerash. This ancient city was one of the most prosperous in the Roman Empire, and was covered by sand for centuries until its remnants were discovered in 1806 A.D. Head through the ancient city gate and walk around the well-preserved ruins as your guide tells you tales about the city in its heyday. See its arches, theaters, and elegant colonnaded street. Snap photos of the stunning Oval Plaza, the Temples of Zeus and Artemis, as well as the intriguing egg-shaped public square framed by standing columns. After this amazing walking tour, you have the option to upgrade your experience with an optional cooking class in a local restaurant at Jerash. Return to Amman where your experience finishes with a drop-off at your hotel.

Nice tour, driver Bader was particularly nice, sharp on time and very kind. Jerash is a wonderful site if you like Roman ruins, as they are well preserved.
Basel, our driver was great! He was very punctual picking us up/dropping us off to our local tour guide. We felt very safe in the car with him. The local guide was knowledge, but we had higher expectations given the cost of the private tour. For a fraction of the price, you can take your own taxi from Amman and pay a local guide to show you Jerash for cheap. Highly recommend to do this on your own instead of through a private tour.
The Zaid travel agency made sure the pickup and Dropoff were prompt and they were dependable. They took care of all the trip arrangements and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Really enjoyed everything they had arranged. Frank and Mary
Our driver Bada, picked us up from the Intercontinental Amman on time & drove us to Jerash. He was very helpful & obliging, guiding us through the hoards of touts & sellers. Bada introduced us to our guide Hamid. He led a fascinating tour of Jerash, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and always ready to answer question. At the end od the tour Bada met us, buying us water & juice, he drove us back to Amman and dropped us off in the down town area
Great driver who led us through the sellers and lintroduced us to our guide. He made sure we had refreshment Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly and explained all that there was in Jerash through the centurys
Booked this tour through trip advisor and was completely thrilled to be connected with our driver Hasan. He went out of his way before hand to check on the weather and offer us an earlier pickup time for our comfort. He arrived promptly to our hotel pickup location and treated my group to Turkish coffee (which was delicious!) He was considerate, highly knowledgeable, and just a genuinely fun person to get to know and spend the ride with. Our guide at Jerash was also very well versed in the site and a life long scholar, he catered the tour to our specific interests and helped us get to the most photogenic perches. All in all, you will feel safe, well looked after, nourished physically and mentally. I would do it all again, and can't recommend enough.
Excellent driver and very knowledgeable guide. Amphitheaters and Roman columns are very impressive. Interesting to note that Jerash was inhabited across the time of several civilizations.
Far exceeded our expectations. Jerash is incredible and driver and local guide were great. So much to see.
My driver, Basel, was very courteous, friendly and interesting to talk to en route to Jerash. Jerash is a very beautiful site. The guide provided, Dr. Sam, was terrific. I highly recommend this trip to other travelers.
A very friendly guide who was very knowledgeable and made the tour an informative and good experience.
Was a wonderful trip! Great driver and tour guide. Would highly recommend! Really enjoyed my time, very professional service!
These trips are all about the driver and guide you have. We were very lucky both were excellent. Khalid our guide at Jerash was both personable, knowledgeable, had excellent English and a good sense of humour. Many thanks for making this a good experience.
Guide was fantastic! Driver was very accommodating and recommended sites to see as well. Would definitely do it again!
Highly recommend. Great communication and support. Amer was our driver and did a great job with giving us the high level overview of the regions history and prepared us for the local guide.

Jerash was phenomenal. Well worth seeing. The driver was courteous and very adept. Local tour guide at Jerash was knowledgeable and was a good communicator.

Guide/driver from Amman was very professional, the local English Speaking Guide included in Jerash was for 2 hrs but the actual tour was only 1hr

This tour to Jarash proved to be marvelous. Bassam Jebreen came on time to pick me up in my hotel and off we went to Jarash. The trip from Amman to Jarash took about 45 minutes but it is worth the travel especially once you arrived the ancient Roman ruins of Jarash. I would highly recommend people to take this trip for its historical value.

Jarash was really impressive. You get the see the influence of Roman architecture and life in the part of Jordan.

The driver was on time. He gave me some historical information as we drove to and from Jerash. The tour guide was fantastic and definitely worth the extra money.

Well worth the trip up to Jerash - it's an easy half day and the ruins are stunning.

This is a total rip off, you can get a taxi or private car to wait for you for less than half of the price and a get a tour guide in Jerash for less than 20.

Better than expected, as we saw a whole city of numerous ruins and buildings. The tour guide Zahir was very informative. The level of history here is immense

This site was probably best-preserved Roman cities I've ever visited! Simply beautiful.

Awesome tour in Jordan. A short 45-60 minute drive to get there from Amman. Great driver (Basel) that was able to educate us on the history of Jordan, politics, religion, and any thing else you wanted to know about Jordan and the surrounding countries. Our tour guide was great at Jerash as well (provided by the booking on Viator). A dream come true all around for a family vacation. ( Note - Try to get Jordanian Dinar prior to getting to the airport. The airport gives a horrible exchange rate to buy your Visas to get into the country)! (April 2014)

I appreciated being picked up at the Sheraton by the tour guide in his car. He explained what we were seeing as we drove about 45 minutes to Jarash. I was a bit disappointed when he passed me off to a local "official guide" who took me through about half of the complex at a bit of a rush. Jarash is not very well developed for history buffs with only about 30% unearthed and very few signs or labels.

If you are in Amman, make the time see Jerash...one of the best preserved roman cities. A guided (govt guides) visit takes 2 hrs, and its time well spent!

Wonderful day trip from Petra. Our driver arrived promptly at the hotel and drove us to Jerash (beautiful drive). He was very friendly and spoke great English. The guide was very knowledgable and provided great detail.

The entire experience was excellent. The only issue is that the driver depended on finding an independent guide at the actual site, and he was successful at getting us a very good guide and everything worked out. During my last Viator experience in Luxor, the guide and driver met us at the airport and we had a dedicated guide.

Visiting Jerash was one of the highlights of our trip. We felt like VIPs with our driver! The ruins are a must-see on any trip to Jordan. Our guide was fantastic and the lunch on the way home was sensational - we tried every local dish imaginable. I would give this tour 6 stars!

Good experience - as easy to do as the original booking. Both our driver and our guide at Jerash were excellent, the latter extending the tour because of our obvious interest. If you have a short stopover, go to Jerash - with the exception of the Colosseum, we reckon it beats Rome!

Perfectly prompt driver, in an excellent quality car. Had a wonderful guide with excellent knowledge of the local area and the sights in Jerah, and beyond that we also discussed more generally the differences between the UK and Jordan, a very intresting and memroable time of my trip to Jordan.
Jerash is a spectacular site with Roman ruins that stagger the imagination. This has to be one of the largest and most complete Roman sites in the world. It is a must-see, even if you have been to some of the other famous sites in Italy, Turkey and Israel.
A great site and needs to be done with a local guide, quite an impressive Roman ruin.
Todo muy bien, conductor, guía, lugar. Jerash está muy bien conservado además. Por suerte fui temprano ya que hacía demasiado calor
We made the tour with a private driver (acquired at the hotel) and in the middle of the day we could visit the wide ruins, many of which are still in a reasonable state of conservation. Impactful place and great attraction.
