Downtown (Amman City) Sightseeing 5 Hours

We had a wonderful experience with our driver, Mahmoud, in Amman. He was reliable, and came to pick us up right on time. He was very knowledgeable about the city and its history, and he made the trip both comfortable and interesting. Throughout the day, he was attentive and kept asking if we wanted to see anything else, which made the experience feel very personalized. We truly appreciated his professionalism and warm hospitality, and we would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Amman.

Great tour, very relaxed. My tour guide Alaa was great and went out of his way to make this a great experience for me .

I did expect a guided tour with a running commentary, but we got just a driving service. The driver had a basic English knowledge and was friendly and polite, but was not able to give us a commentary I am used to when joined tours of other cities. We were transported between sites as promised, but left at our own devices there. We did hire a guide at Citadel (30JD), but there was nothing else at other spots. One could hire a taxi between spots for less money, but this was an extra convenience with less hassle.

Amazing day around Amman! Wonderful people and food. My driver and tour guide Alaa Manasra was brilliant and most kind. Saw Roman theatre, citadel Jordan museum and Blue Mosque.

Mr.islam in hilton amman was very nice, he suggested us with amazing tour view in amman. The driver Mr.Amer was very friendly during the trip, he took us in a 4 hours trip around the city and showed us the places and gave us very good information about each place we went to. On the last day he dropped us in the dead sea amman and gave us a small trip around the dead sea. We recently had the pleasure of meeting “Joe Jordan.” He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. We had one free day to tour Amman. We handed Joe our wish list of places to visit—and he made it happen!

Hamdi our driver was easily available on WhatsApp, communicated well and arrived smartly in a clean comfortable car. He provided us with a wifi-dongle to allow us to use while we toured the sites on our own. He was a very safe driver and brought us to the sites noted. He provided some insights along the way and also brought us to the Royal Automobile Museum. He would drop us off at the sites, allow you to wander around at your own leisure and then come back to pick you up when you are done. A good way for us to get around Amman with a driver/car. Amman is beautiful and you will need a driver/car to get around.

Ahmed was a Fabulous tour guide! Ran into him in the parking lot, and he didn’t disappoint. Took us to a fabulous place for lunch… took us to old Amman. Seek him out when in Jordan!

Ahmed picked us up at our hotel in a beautiful van and first took us to The Jordan Museum. He showed us the bazaar downtown and many other things. His commentary was very informative and enjoyable. He took us to an excellent casual restaurant (Shahrazad) that we never would have found on our own an ordered a wonderful meal for us! Then he took us for knafeh, a delicious dessert. He was a great guide and driver!

A good car. A lovely willing driver but he needs more experience. Driver keen to help but took us to Royal Palace but could not find any view of it. Otherwise delightful.

Our driver Ahmed made the trip very nice and pleasant! we had enough time for the visit and different locations. For us it was a perfect combination to see Amman without self driving .

After a hiccup with the tour operator not receiving my booking for a small group tour from Viator and a wait of 90min I was able to get through to Viator and the tour company and was taken on a 5 hr private tour Saw the Roman Citadel, the Amphitheater, the Blue Mosque, walked down and around Rainbow Street and the shopping area nearby and the souks downtown All of this in 5 hrs because of a great guide Abdul Hameed or Hameedo as he preferred to go by

This tour is basically a driver driving you around from place to place. If you’re trying to get insight from the driver about what you’re visiting, we’ll that’s not in the description of the tour so you aren’t getting that. Just understand that before you book.

Marwan was the most fantastic driver and guide. We took in the King Abdullah I Mosque, the Citadel, Theatre and downtown. He was an amazing driver! Knew all the best spots. Kindly got us the best food and desert. Couldn’t have looked after us better!

Hamiid was always gentle, friendly and professional. The car was very good and he was of great help. His suggestion allowed us to taste the best falafel, hummus and sandwiches in Amman. Great?

We stayed at the Crown Plaza Amman and asked the hotel for a recommendation for a driver for a half day tour. They recommended Retaj Rental cars and Limos. We were lucky enough to get the best driver in Jordan, Mohamed Abu Saad. Professional, knowledgeable and fearless in traffic, Mohamed showed us the sites we requested and made suggestions about others. We visited the Citadel, then the Roman Theater. Mohamad knew the right panoramic spot for pictures of me and my partner with the Roman Theater in the background. Next stop was the restaurant, Zajal, where we had a wonderful dinner of local specialties. Don’t miss the upside down dish, Maqluba, a slow cooked mixture of chicken, vegetables and rice. It’s cooked in a pot and then with great fanfare, turned upside down and removed from the pot onto a platter. It’s a wow at this restaurant, especially as served by Ashraf. Shopping for embroidered fabrics and spices rounded out our first day in Amman. Thank you, Mohamad, for a wonderful day!
