We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jordan Drive Tribe and Yahya! From start to finish, their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine kindness really stood out. They did an incredible job showing us around Jordan and making sure we got the most out of every experience. What we appreciated most was how flexible and accommodating they were. We had to change things around at the last minute, and they handled every change so effortlessly and without hesitation. They were always patient, responsive, and willing to work with us to make sure everything was exactly what we needed. They truly made our entire trip feel seamless and stress free. Definitely worth the value! We felt well taken care of the entire time and could relax knowing we were in such capable hands. We would highly recommend Jordan Drive Tribe to anyone visiting Jordan and would absolutely use them again!

Umm Qais or (Gadara) was a centre of Greek culture in the region during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The oldest archaeological evidence at Umm Qais, extends back to the second half of the third century BC, and the site have been founded as a military colony by Alexander the Great. From there also you can see an amazing view for the Sea of Galilee and part of Nazareth where Juses (peace be upon him) was born.

Towering above the capital city of Amman on a hill is the Amman Citadel. This historic site comprises a 1700 meter wall that dates back to the Bronze Age, the iconic Temple of Hercules, and the Umayyad Palace. With so many significant landmarks located one site, the Amman Citadel is arguably one of the best places to visit in Amman.
You will visit the roman amphitheater in the middle of the old town of Amman which used to be called Philadelphia, it was built in 2nd century and fits a 6000 people,
It is believed to have been built sometime before the early 8th century AD, based on a graffito in one of its upper rooms, despite visible Sassanid influences. A Greek or Byzantine house may have existed on the site. It is one of the earliest examples of Islamic architecture in the region.
It was built some time between 723 and 743, by Walid Ibn Yazid, the future Umayyad caliph Walid II, whose dominance of the region was rising at the time. It is considered one of the most important examples of early Islamic art and architecture.
Its strategic value came from the nearby oasis, the only water source in a vast desert region. The name of the fortress and associated town came from these. The settlement was known in antiquity as Basie and the Romans were the first to make military use of the site, and later an early mosque was built in the middle. It did not assume its present form until an extensive renovation and expansion by the Ayyubids in the 13th century, using locally quarried basalt which makes the castle darker than most other buildings in the area.
Day 3
3
Mount Nebo is an elevated ridge of the Abarim in Jordan, approximately 710 metres (2,330 ft) above sea level. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. The view from the summit provides a panorama of the land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the Jordan river. The West Bank city of Jericho is usually visible from the summit, as is Jerusalem on a very clear day, Dead sea is also visible.
Saint George Church or as its called (The Church of the map), it contains the Madaba Mosaic Map, it is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint George in Madaba. The Madaba Map is of the Middle East, and part of it contains the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem. It dates to the 6th century AD.
This Church is a Latin Catholic Church, it is the oldest church which the religious rituals still held in it since it was built until this now non stop. Contains numerous paintings, frescoes and sculptures depicting the life of John the Baptist ( Yahya ). It also contains an acropolis consisting of ancient basements and an old Moabi well and several ancient monuments under the church, which were once used as a temple, a school and a home for the priest. The church also follows the Latin school. The monastery visitor center contains a replica of a Byzantine mosaic floor found in Umm al-Rasas. you will be able also to go up to the tower bell and see a view for the city of Madaba.
Wadi al Mujib which is also "almost certainly" known as the biblical Arnon Stream, is a river canyon in Jordan which enters the Dead Sea. You will stop to take some photos for a wonderful Panoramic view for the valley (Wadi) which seprates Madaba from Karak
Kerak Castle is a large Crusader castle located in al-Karak, Jordan. It is the 2nd largest crusader castle in the Levant. Construction of the castle began in the 1140s, under Pagan and Fulk, King of Jerusalem. The Crusaders called it Crac des Moabites or "Karak in Moab"

Booking with Jordan Drive Tribe was super easy. They were very responsive and were able to customize our trip to 8 days and even upgraded the van for us. Our driver, Yahya was super! It was clear to us in our conversations that he was very passionate about his country, his work, and his family. Always on time and flexible; if we wanted to start later or earlier or spend more time somewhere, he was always very accommodating. We spent two days in Amman, two days in Petra, two days in Wadi Rum, and two in the Dead Sea. Overall, Jordan was incredible, one of the top countries I’ve ever visited. There is so much history there, the food was amazing, the activities were very unique and never in the entire time we were there did we feel unsafe. I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending a trip to Jordan; definitely consider Jordan Drive Tribe for planning your visit!
Jordan Drive Tribe is an excellent option for anyone who prefers the freedom of planning their own trip while having the reliable transportation and peace of mind that comes with the support of a tour operator. Zaid was a safe and skilled driver and was always right on time with his pickups. He was very helpful in coordinating timing and logistics, especially with our desired Wadi Rum activities, and treated us to a couple excellent local eateries while we were in Amman that we would not have experienced on our own. My husband joined me for this trip, but as a frequent solo traveler, I can confirm that I would have felt completely safe as a solo female traveling with JDT as well. I highly recommend their services.
Our trip to Jordan was wonderful! We visited Amman, Petra and Wadi Rum. The experience was amazing! The guides, the food and hotel were excellent. We stayed at the Fairmont in Amman and while there we ate at the Asian restaurant which was delicious and we had great service from Salah. In Wadi Rum(the desert) we visited Sun City Camp where we had lunch and we received excellent service from Haytham. Highly recommend! We stayed at Discovery Bedu which is very exclusive, camp just 6 tents and the service and food were exceptional. The sunset was magnificent and view of start and moon like no other place. Our guide in Jordan was Salah Khleifat and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Visit Jordan as the crowds are low and the country is very safe.
Great trip with Jordan drive tribe! I have nothing but great things to say about Jordan drive tribe and my one week holiday in Jordan with my family. Jordan is a such a beautiful place and a safe haven in a region of conflict, it's absolutely safe to visit. We visited world heritage sites and desert landscapes. Taking our kids to Petra, Jerash and Wadi Rum was a very positive experience. Jordan drive tribe is your perfect choice for a trip to Jordan!
Due to a last minute cancellation of a combined Egypt & Jordan tour, I had to scramble to book a tour of Jordan at very short notice. I found Jordan Drive Tribe on the website Viator, and contacted them directly to see if they had any availability for the very next day. The owner of JDT, Yahia, responded very quickly and was able to secure both a driver and organise accommodation for me, which was fantastic. My driver was Mohammed Borini, and he was excellent. If you're from a Western country, the traffic in much of the Middle-East can seem chaotic. But Mohammed was able to navigate through it quickly, efficiently and most importantly, safely. The car is very modern, clean and has WiFi and water provided. Travelling with Mohammed was more like travelling with a friend, instead of just a driver to get you from point A to point B. He was very friendly, very funny, loves to tell jokes, he will stop if you want to have a photo opportunity, and he'll get in the photos with you! He was always on time. If he said he will be at the hotel at 8am to pick you up, he is there on the dot. He's got a wide selection of music, both Arabic language and English, and will do a car karaoke with you if you like! I'm very appreciative of the ability of Yahia to organise this trip at incredibly short notice, and I'm very grateful to have had an incredible driver like Mohammed to show me around the beautiful country of Jordan. I would definitely recommend Jordan Drive Tribe to anyone thinking about a trip to Jordan.
We had a great trip through Jordan with Haitham. We planned the itinerary ourselves, and were looking for just a driver, but we got much more! Haitham was a great companion on our week tour, sharing sights and foods as we moved across the country. Haitham was very responsive and helpful. He went way more than the extra mile to make our trip perfect. I highly recommend Jordan Drive Tribe and Haitham!
Excellent trip around Jordan. Very hard to pick just one special thing. For us it was likely our stay at Wadi Rum followed closely by our stay at Petra. Be sure to do the keep your and camel ride at Wadi Rum. So serene and tranquil. We did the three hour sunset jeep tour which we found was enough. Salem was our jeep guide who was great. Haitham was our driver and he was great. Born in Jordan and as a result could answer our many cultural and historical questions. Always at the ready with water and his Medcedes was an added bonus as it was smooth, great a/c and spotless. Highly recommend Haitham.
It was a very nice and wonderful trip ever with a nice and helpful guide. He is so nice to us and i like him a lot. Hope to come back and see you again
We had an amazing time with Zaid and would highly recommend him and Jordan DriveTribe for exploring and appreciating the wonders of Jordan! As a couple we traveled to Jordan for a week in March 2023. We planned the trip several months in advance, booking the hotels independently, but we wanted a driver to take us around the country. I contacted Jordan DriveTribe, via their website, after reading TripAdvisor reviews and they were very prompt in getting back to me. We agreed on the final itinerary and I transferred half the balance to them via bank transfer and then paid the remaining balance in person at the end of our week. And we had an absolutely wonderful week touring the country with Zaid. He was really kind, reliable, and he knew fabulous places for great vistas and great food. We felt like we saw so much more of the country with him than we would have independently. He knew the roads like the back of his hand and all the best places to stop to appreciate the sites. Zaid also made sure we were comfortable and he looked out for us continuously. He was sensitive to what we wanted to do and was always there when he said he would be. We really couldn't have asked for anything more! And in terms of sites we would absolutely recommend spending a week in Jordan, there is so much to see, learn, and enjoy.
Great Tour! We travelled with two small children (4 and 6 years old) and everything went very smooth and easy. Esmat was our driver who was excellent and very forthcoming. Much more than just a driver but a Tour guide. Communication with both him and central office was very easy and quick. Can highly recommend them.
The experience was amazing! I booked last minute and Yahya was very efficient in helping me to arrange an itinerary. Dhahir who drove and guided through the week there was excellent. He was reliable, efficient, helpful, personable, knowledgeable and friendly. He accommodated my requests and made the trip a very enjoyable and stress free experience from start to finish with recommendations to suit depending on circumstances. I would highly recommend the company, Yahya and Dhahir.
Jordan, it was an absolute dream! The sights, the culture, and the people all exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, Zaid Tadros, was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we saw all the must-see landmarks, such as Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. But he also took us to some lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path locations that were just as breathtaking. Thanks, Yahia(Jordan Drive Tribe) for the well planned itinerary. The food was amazing and I particularly enjoyed trying all the different Middle Eastern dishes like Mansaf and Magloobae. But what really made this trip special was the warmth and hospitality of the Jordanian people. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with smiles and a genuine desire to share their culture with us. Overall, I highly recommend this trip to anyone considering visiting Jordan. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Five stars all around!
Jordan sits atop and along the sides of a series of mini-mountains with serpentine roads desperately clinging to the hillsides, often ending in a one way street of opposing traffic, clogged with cars parked on both sides with inches to spare or sometimes simply disappearing altogether. Intersections are as wide as the number of cars present and the rules and skill of merging or turning are known only to god and a select few Jordanians. Good luck with Google Maps! To truly enjoy and see the real Jordan, a personal driver is a reasonably priced alternative, especially if you get the right guy. Zaid is that guy! Service over and above. SAFE, fun, exciting, timely, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and connected, he will take you on the most scenic routes to any destination, roads less traveled with maybe a friendly Bedouin along the way. First time in Jordan?-he can provide the cultural do's and don'ts. Already have a plan?-he will follow it to the letter and help you time your visit for the maximum benefit with no wasted time. No plan?-he will help you find the things that interest you the most. Shopping advice and guidance-of course! Professional photographer/videographer in Wadi Rum?-don't miss the opportunity. Are you camel-obsessed?-he will stop for every camel in the country. Need a coffee break?-he knows the best roadside coffee stands. Hungry?-no problem to find the right restaurant or snack stand. Why take a selfie?-he's a great photographer. Need or spending time alone?-He will provide multiple ways to contact him for anything you need. Traveling with Zaid is like being with a member of the family who truly knows and loves his country. Please note not all drivers provide this level of service and professional tour guide services and entrance fees are NOT included.
Esmat was an excellent driver and guide! He provided amazing recommendations for food and sights to visit as well as helped us book great excursions with excellent guides. Esmat is very knowledgeable about all the major regions to visit and very friendly person. We have gained a friend for life on this trip for sure! When we return we will definitely book this transportation service again with Esmat!
We had a customised Best of Jordan trip with Yahia as our driver/guide. Jordan is a wonderful country to visit but you need a good transport option to maximize your time. Jordan Drive Tribe really helped us with this and they were flexible with the schedule and offered us a very comfortable vehicle (Mercedes Van). Nothing is ever a problem with them. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this company. Looking forward to going back.
yahia provided a superb service in his spotless Mercedes van, super comfortable, great driver. he put together a custom itinerary for us which required long days on his part because we wanted to visit everything from Amman rather than staying a multiple hotels. he was always on time and explained the history of everywhere we went. we hit all the high points on the trip. I woukd highly recommend Jordan drive tribe, fair price for superb service that will not disappoint you.
My visit to Jordan with Jordan Drive Tribe was a seamless and enchanting experience. I'm thankful to my driver Zaid who was always available to meet my expectations and to give answers to my requests. He was always on time and precise, and his suggestions made my experience more memorable. I highly recommend this company for your trip.
From the beginning to the end of our Jordan stay everything went perfectly well. Yahya is very knowledgeable about his country and took his time to explain every little piece of detail, it was like being in history but not being bored or overwhelmed with information overload. He also engaged my children in conversation of the information he shared with us to ensure they enjoyed the trip. Yahya is very prompt as well and the other drivers that picked us up from Petra was very efficient as well. The vehicles used were clean, air conditioned, and cold bottles of water were in excess supply non-stop. It is also important to note you are in safe hands with Yahya, trustworthy and very nice…he looks out for his client and helped us bargain prices with the locals when we wanted to buy things to take back home. Yahya also surprised us with a desert tour experience at the Wadi Rum…it was one of the highlights of our trip, the tour guide was knowledgeable as well and the experience will linger in my memory and that of my family forever.
It was such an incredible experience!! Our driver Daoud was the most friendly and nice person we could ever had in this short but intense adventure around Jordan. He was very kind with us all the time and he carried us to all places we were in our itinerary. I don’t have words to thanks Daoud for his behaviour with us, he made things a lot easier for us!! Thank you so much for everything, we will never forget this amazing trip!
One of the best overseas holiday. To begin with, Yahya is very decent and highly professional with his work. He listened to our requirements and tailored our itinerary accordingly. He is fluent with English, which is a very big Plus point. He was extremely punctual about his timings. He has been in this business for a long time. As such, he knew his stuff. He gave us additional information about things and sites as we drove and passed those places. Not many do that. We enjoyed every moment of our trip. And guess guess what, my family and I had dinner at his place on the last night before we left. <- This should say it all. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to visit Jordan.
We have booked this experience through Viator not knowing that it will be a trip of a lifetime thanks to Yahia and his colleagues, Yahia was very flexible and he even booked us hotels with tan excellent prices, Yahia was open to all questions and conversations with were great, especially that he speaks excellent English. The overall service was above and beyond and we ended up being friends with Yahia and his lovely 2 years old daughter after he invited us to his house at the time of breaking the fast in Ramadan to have the local experience in this lovely country. So if you want the best service in Jordan, book with Jordan Drive Tribe without any hesitation, they are the best!
We had 10 days to spend inJordan, the first few days staying with a friend that lives in Amman. So when we found this customizable tour, we were thrilled. We were given a sample suggested itinerary and were able to adapt it to what we wanted to do with our time. Communication with Yahia, our main driver, was easy and he responded in a timely manner. Some days we wanted to squeeze in a lot, other days relax or move an hour or so to our next destination. He insisted that we were the boss, and was very easy to work with. He made suggestions on the itinerary and helped set up some tours for us. We had a great time and weren’t forced into a one size fits all tour. Thanks Yahia (John) for sharing your time and life with us on an unforgettable journey. Highly recommended.
Fantastic service from Yahia and his colleagues. From a day tour of Amman, Jerash and Ajloun, the King's Way, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea, we had a brilliant time. Yahia always went the extra mile to make our trip memorable - showing us scenery and places beyond our original itinerary. His hospitality is second to none and he is incredibly knowledgeable about the country. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable. We 100% recommend that you book with Yahia - you won't regret it.
When I thought of visiting Jordan, I immediately thought I would like a driver to take me around the main points of the country. When I did a search on Tripadvisor I quickly came across Yahia and his company Jordan Drive Tribe because of the good reviews to the service provided. In addition, the company's proposal also included the hotel stay at the places we wanted to visit, which were: Petra Guest House - Petra Mazayen Rum Camp - Wadi rum Intercontinental Aqaba - Aqaba Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea - Dead Sea The overall price was very competitive. Having Yahia as our host around Jordan was incredible. He knows his country very well, is a good communicator, is always concerned about customer satisfaction and has great historical and cultural knowledge. It was a very enriching 7 day trip, Jordan far exceeded our expectations and Yahia contributed significantly to a fantastic experience. I highly recommend his five stars service. Yahia, thank you so much for a wonderful time discovering Jordan.
Yahia is the driver you want in Jordan! Excellent communication from the start and it gave us such peace of mind to know that we would have a prompt driver with a clean, comfortable car and not have to worry about our transportation. Yahia is so knowledgeable about Jordan, he will make sure you get the most out of every moment. We spent about 10 days in Jordan and Yahia was one of the highlights of our trip. A couple times when he wasn’t able to drive us, he coordinated one of his partners seamlessly. Car has wifi and we felt comfortable and well cared for. Yahia showed us true Jordanian hospitality and we are so grateful to have had him to guide us through this beautiful country.
I would definitely recommend Yahia to everyone who is going to Jordan. Yahia is a very friendly guide. He knows Jordan very well and helped us in our planning. We have managed to explore Jordan from Ammen, Dead sea, to Petra, Wadi Rum and finished our tour in Aqaba. Thanks to Yahia and his team! I have a lot of memorable moments with my friends during the trip. Jordan is a true wonder : )
We spent 8 days in Jordan and booked with Jordan Drive Tribe. This is a small company runned by our driver Yahia. First of all, Jordan is beautiful and certainly Jordan Drive Tribe helped a lot for the experience. They helped us sketching the route, starting in Amman with nearby trip to the desert castles, going to Jerash and Ajloun, then Mount Nebo, Madaba, Dana till Petra, which of course is one of the obligatory places to visit. Next, we went to Wadi Rum desert, stayed overnight in those star gazing tents and from there to the Dead Sea which was Yahia’s idea and works perfectly because is the best place to rest in the end (not in the middle) of the journey, since it doesn’t have much to see, except taking a swim and floating on the Dead Sea. Beside his professionalism, Yahia speaks very well English, is a very educated person and knows very well his country, so we couldn’t asked for more. As a bonus, we had a good time with him, spending so much time talking, so in the end, we could consider him a friend.
This has been a very fruitful experience! We asked Yahia to drive us around Jordan. We had already designed our own itinerary and Yahia has been very cooperative in supporting our requests, meeting our needs and making proposals to make our trip even more enjoyable. His high level of English has allowed us to have a very smooth communication and to easily understand each other. But not only! During the way he explained us many things about the country, which made the trip very interesting! If you are planning a trip to Jordan, I strongly suggest you to address to Yahia. Thanks Yahia for everything!
The trip around Jordan with Yahia was a really great experience. I was travelling alone with my 3 kids and they enjoyed the experienced and loved Yahia. We had also a tasteful real jordan lunch at his place. Great hospitality and high professionalism. I recommend it.
We had seven of our best days, Jordan is a very interesting country with a lot of history, people in there are very generous and lovely
Driver booking through Jordan Drive Tribe is definitely recommended! Were very flexible and friendly. Good communication also in preparation of the trip. Yahya was also definitely an added value to our trip!
Jordan is a welcoming land, with a population that makes you feel at home. they live in a land of development and poverty in one coexistence Petra, Mount Nebo, Bethany places full of spirituality The Wadi Rum desert simply a spectacle: it deserves to stay at least two nights It was nice coming to this country We will never forget her Thanks to those who built the trip (Menphis Tour, especially Mrs. Madonna Sheif)
The tour would have been very good if our guide had done his job The hotels on the tour were fine even the overnight stay in the desert was top We have seen amman ,petra, the dead sea akaba only the guide left us to our fate for the umpteenth time and we had to figure it out ourselves
