Just quick tip that not all hotels serve alcohol and in amman where hotels are based mot easy to buy but sufra restaurant on rainbow street lovely meal and wine. I was referred by a business colleague who had used Jordan Select Tours for a trip to Petra in April 2024. The referral was a excellent one. From my initial contact with Omaima Salim, the planning went smoothly. I had made my hotel arrangement in Amman and Petra, so the tour involved travel with stops from Amman to Petra [via Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Shobak Castle], a day at Petra, and return to Amman via Dead Sea route. Haytham, who spends part of each year in the US, was an excellent driver with good knowledge of the sties. He was very thoughtful and on time. On the day at Petra he picked my up at the hotel and made the "transfer" to my guide for the day, Gabriel. Gabriel was also excellent. He facilitated my ride in the "golf cart" to the "Treasury" and walked with me in our tour of other sites in Petra. On the third day, Haytham picked my up at the hotel and drove through the desert to the road by the Dead Sea. His narrative was very interesting about this unique part of the world, and its geography. The one unfortunate part of the trip was the inclusion of a stop at the Dead Sea Holiday Inn for a "swim" and lunch. Because of my somewhat limited mobility, I was not able to access the "swim" because of the distance and steep change in elevation from the hotel to the beach. [The "day use" bare-bones facilities were also limited.] Omaima Salim arranged for a partial refund for that portion of my tour. I would highly recommend Jordan Select Tours for any visits to Jordan.

Esam review We had the absolute best experience with Jordan Select Tours and would absolutely recommend them to anyone! It started out with Ola emailing back and forth with us for several months helping us plan and finalize our trip. She was very patient and helpful to us as we made a lot of changes up until really close to our departure. Upon arrival in Jordan, we were greeted by their airport representative that helped us get our Visas and get through customs. He assisted us with our luggage, collected final payment, and got us out to our driver. Our driver for the trip was Esam. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver/guide! He is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, funny, and kind. Several times throughout our trip he would buy us packs of water bottles or snacks. He loved getting us local foods or snacks to try and we sure appreciated it. All of the food we had on this trip was amazing! Were missing it already. He was always willing to answer any questions we had. By the end he felt like family to us! We were also super grateful for all of the local guides that they booked for us. We truly had some of the best guides at every site. We could tell by seeing others that we truly had guides that were invested in their job and making sure we had the best experience. We’d like to give a huge shoutout to our guide Sameer in Petra. Petra was the main reason we were here as my brother is named Petra after the city. He made sure to show us every little thing including many things that others do not see or point out. He was born in a cave in Petra so he truly knows it all. He was also an incredible photographer! I know a lot of people are unsure about traveling to Jordan right now with conflicts in surrounding areas but it is truly safe and a great time to go!

We visited Jordan for 8 days and we went to the most important sites aroud there. Starting from the first touch we felt that they were our best choice, at the beginning with Mrs. Omaima that arranged our private tour very well and booked for us the hotels we prefered and she was always present by email or whatsapp, then with our special driver Mr. Wael that drove us around the country in a very safely and attentive way and to the professional guides we met during our trip. All was incredibly perfect! Thank you guys for everything, you all did a great job. I recommend with no dubt this agency!!!

From the moment we arrived to the the time we left, Jordan Select Tours provided excellent service and value. Our driver Alaa was very friendly and made a tremendous effort to show us the best of Jordan in the three days we spent in country. From the ruins of Jaresh to downtown Amman tothe Dead Sea, Petra and Karak, we saw all of the big tourist sites but, more importantly, got to experience the local flavors. You must try knafeh and sahlab in Amman and mansaf in Karak. The flavors will amaze you!

We were a mother and adult daughter traveling alone and were a little concerned about our safety. Sufian was a delight and not only did we feel very safe, but we had fun conversations as well. We highly recommend him and his company!

Petra is the dream destination for the heritage lovers... the amazing valley , the royal tombs , treasury, Roman theatre , everything is just amazing . The landscape was just breathtaking. We visited petra for 3 days and it's was completely worth being 3 days . One day to complete the main trail , second day to go Royal tombs and Monastery , third day to see the high sacrifice place which had a breathtaking panoramic view of petra valley . It is important to take of the safety during the hiking to reach Royal tombs , Monastery and High sacrifice place . It's worth to do the hiking but if anyone has health issues then it's probably not the best ides , hiking up with the kids also can be very risky . The petra museum is extremely good not only in the artifacts but also the vedio that provides so much information of the valley , the Nabateans and how the city use to survive , the trade routes , all the possible information. Overall the experience to petra was great , highly recommended .

Jordan is a historic nation with many fascinating sites, including the museums in the country's capital, Amman. The best-known ancient site is Petra, which has stunning buildings such as the Treasury, accessed from the Siq. Other ancient sites are Jerash, which is the best-preserved Roman city outside of Italy. The tour is well worth the effort.

Wilde was the name of my driver to Petra. He was an excellent driver and made a couple of stops along the 3 hour drive to Petra to drink and use facilities. Very nice man. His boss Omar even arranged a golf cart ride inside Petra for me because of a computer glitch which did not have me on a tour that day. A very interesting trip, in particular the visit to Jeras, the two full days in Petra with stimulating walks, the night in a tent in the wadi rum (I recommend a tour in the desert with jeep of at least 4-5 hours specifying the places to visit) and the splendid Dana biosphere reserve where I recommend spending a night in complete tranquility off the most tourist routes if you love taking walks in unspoiled nature.We chose to take a trip alone, my husband and I, with driver. Our driver Abdullah Hamed, was always punctual, a calm and quiet driver, despite the chaotic traffic of Amman.

The tour was simply wonderful all well organized in advance, and the service in Jordan was perfect, from the airport pick up to the airport drop off at the end. Our drive Mo was a treasure trove of information, fun and kind, and treated us like family. Many thanks again!

Just returned from a Jordan tour--Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum, and Dead Sea. We had a wonderful time. Our driver, Mouafug, was excellent. He was always prompt, polite, very knowledgeable of the different areas and their customs, as well as funny. All the arrangements ran like clockwork--from the pickup at the airport until the dropoff almost a week later. We were never stressed with the details because Mouafag took care of everything--driving, tickets, breaks, even water. When we return to Jordan again, we will definitely use Jordan Select!

Had a itinerary planned with Ms. Esra to meet the needs/wants of our 8-day family trip to Jordan with a new baby (4months) and two boys (4.5 and 6yrs old). They were very accommodating for our requests and ensured the entire duration was comfortable for all of us. We had an amazing, and patient, driver, Esam, who added a bit more to trip to satisfy our very curious family. We felt very safe and compare this company as one of the best well-planned and executing tour companies we've used in our experience travelling as a family. I had very little time to plan and do much research, so I heavily relied on Ms. Esra and the company to plan our stay knowing what we were looking for and experienced with families like ours. During our stay, we met with experts at all the sites and met with very friendly hotel staff. there were a few hiccups along the way that was no fault of Jordan Select, but they were very quick to rectify and fix with little effort on our part. Overall, I highly recommend them if you're busy like us and rely heavily on great quality people that work with Jordan Select to make your visit to Jordan memorable.

So much history in Jordan, be sure leave plenty of time to enjoy all of the sights, and read up on the basics before you go. Hiking in Petra was amazing but be sure to wear sturdy shoes if you're planning to take on the tougher trails, and be prepared for crowds. We were there at the end of October and it was still very warm.

Booked this tour through Tripadvisor and quickly received a confirmation email and voucher. Driver was not at the hotel at pickup time - however, I was able to easily contact them via phone and whatsapp using afterhours number. Driver was waiting at a different hotel with the same name and showed up within five minutes of me calling - had the best of intentions. I did this trip solo and the vehicle was a 4 door sedan - comfortable with AC. Driver was extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable - he makes these trips almost daily. Picked up at hotel in Amman and took about 3 hours to get to Petra on the Desert Hwy with a couple stops for Turkish coffee and waters on the way. Plenty of places for trinkets and local wares as well. Very little traffic and the drive was smooth. Highway is in great shape. The places we stopped were very friendly and I had no issues shopping. Very little cell phone service between towns. Arrived at Petra around 10:30am. Driver dropped me off and gave me a cell phone to call him when I was heading out. Quick and easy access to enter. Not a lot of people at this time, but on the way out the placed was packed. Get there early as possible for better pics without it being full of people. You will be bombarded with locals offering you donkey and camel rides. They will tell you its included in your ticket, but they want a very handsome tip. I spent 4 hours (about 6 miles) exploring and a camel ride sounded pretty good to get out, but I wanted to push myself. Many people taking the camel ride out. A lot of soft sand, rocks, and plenty of climbing if you choose - prepare accordingly. Plenty of locals trying to sell you things the entire way - some can be good priced, but negotiate heavily and many of their prices will drop 75%. Tons of huts selling trinkets, but you have to hike out with it. Most of the things you can find in Amman as well for similar prices. The bigger shops take credit cards - but expect higher prices (12JOD for a tuna wrap and a beer). Many items being sold are made in India and China. Plenty of locals wanting to take you to the "Indiana Jones" view for a fee, but it's easily accessible yourself - it's to your right at the treasury in the corner and a quick climb. There is a second platform with great view and pics or the main platform is 1JOD to access, but you get a free cold water or tee with it and they will take your pic on carpets they have laid out. Plenty of places to buy cold beverages, food, and restrooms along the way as well. Everyone I encountered spoke English. No service in the Siq, so call the driver at the treasury before you enter. Overall great trip!

It was a great trip from the start. Our driver Hasan gave us a lot of background history of the area and was a fount of knowledge. He arranged a guide for us at Petra for a really good price. A guide was good for us as he had a lot of knowledge of the site. An amazing place to visit and our experience enhanced by a wonderful driver who was a joy to speak with and a guide who made the site come alive to us.

I was recommended to Jordan Select tours by my friends who had a great experience with their trip a few years ago. Shireen was my tour consultant and did an amazing job with my itinerary. She was patient, as I kept changing the dates to my trip, and answered all my questions to make sure I had the perfect itinerary for my 11 days in Jordan. Communication via email is not always easy, but with Shireen, she answered promptly with all the information I needed and was always professional. The activities were great and the accommodations were perfect. And she gives you options on accommodations based on your budget. Mohammed was the representative who greeted me as soon as I got off the plane. He took care of my visa and assisted me in a very painless experience at the airport. The best part of my trip was my driver Alaa Salameh. As a solo female traveler, I was nervous going to Jordan alone. But Alaa made all my worries go away. He is very kind, funny, and knows so much about Jordan and the tourism industry that he made suggestions and tweaks to my itinerary that worked in my favor to make sure I had the best experience for my first time in Jordan (like changing the days I went to Jerash when it wasn’t raining so I could enjoy the city, or adding a night in Aqaba because I told him how much I love the beach). I got a cell phone from Alaa during my arrival so that I was able to contact him whenever I wanted if I needed assistance with anything. He made sure that my guides to the monuments were good, and made sure that I felt safe and comfortable during my entire trip. The advice and recommendations he gave me were always great, and he took me to the best restaurants that Jordan has. I already told Alaa that WHEN, not if, I come back to Jordan, I 100% want him to be my driver again. Thank you everyone in Jordan Select for giving me the best vacation someone can have.

Jordan Select Tours organised an 11-day trip that turned out to be one of the most incredible and satisfying experience of our lives. They organised it thoroughly and provided us with an exceptional driver (Raed) who guided us everywhere throughout the country and who knew the best shops and restaurants and where to avoid tourist traps. For those wanting to experience all of the best of Jordan here is out itinerary: Day 1 - Arrival in the evening Day 2 - Um Qais, Ajloun Castle, Jerash Day 3 - Amman Citadel, Roman Theatre, Salt Day 4 - Desert Castles (Qusayr Amra, Qasr Al Kharana), afternoon at the Dead Sea Day 5 - Mt Nebo, Madaba, Little Petra, Petra by Night (lovely walk, you can ignore the touristy performance by the bedouin) Day 6 - day in Petra (we spent 9h and still couldn't get enough of the place!!) Day 7 - journey to Wadi Rum (wonderful handcrafted shop for carpets, stoles, etc. on the way) Day 8 - Wadi Rum desert drive and night stargazing in the desert Day 9 - Aqaba, scuba diving in the Red Sea (organised for us by our driver Raed) Day 10 - journey back to Amman for our flight the following day Day 11 - Departure in the afternoon With no sense of being rushed or of not having enough time to enjoy each experience. Weather in November 2021 was exceptional!

My wife and I booked with Jordan Select Tours and just returned from a week long journey around the country. We just got back from a Trip to Egypt and Jordan set up by Global Basecamps. For the Jordan portion of our tour, they used Jordan Select Tours. For the trip, Jordan Select Tours, gave us a private driver to go from Amman, Mt Nebo, Dana National Reserve, Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, and back to Amman. Our diver Alaa Salameh, turned out to be much more than just our driver. He took extremely good care of us. His car was always clean, with A/C and Wi-Fi. He kept a cooler of bottled water available at all times. The first day, he asked our preferences as far as drinks, meal times. We mentioned we sometimes like to drink a coke. From that point on, there were also, cokes in the cooler whenever we wanted one. He adjusted our schedule to accommodate our eating habits. He gave us a cell phone to use while we were in Jordan in order to contact him directly if we had and issues when he was not with us. We had the original itinerary, but then he gave us options and suggestions to make the trip even more special. His driving was impeccable. Jordan seems to be the capital of speed bumps on the road. He made sure to watch out for them all and slow down so we did not fly over them! He got us snacks along the way, he pushed for upgrades at all of our lodging areas (and got them with most!) And he helped arrange our Covid Tests for our return trip home. Alaa was also our unofficial tour guide on the trip. He arranged all of the tickets to everywhere we went to visit. Although, he could not go into the sights and actually give the tours, he gave us all of the history on each area and advised us on which sites benefited from having a guide and which sites could be enjoyed on our own. The itinerary Jordan Select Tours set up was wonderful. We got to tour the city of Amman, visit the Royal Automobile Museum, visit Mt. Nebo, a couple of Crusader Castles, visit Petra, visit Wadi Rum, and visit the Dead Sea. The lodging that was selected at each location was perfect. Our highlight of the trip was Petra. They arranged a two day tour of the site with a private guide (Sam), who did an amazing job. The first day we got up early at the recommendation of Alaa and Sam. We were able to walk through the Siq and see the Treasury before the crowds arrived and before it got too hot. The second day we hiked to the Monastery (a very long but well worth it hike!!) The lodging at the Petra Guest House was wonderful. Jordan is a beautiful country. Everyone we encountered were welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend people coming here, and I would highly recommend using Jordan Select Tours.

We had a five day tour with Jordan Select Tours - we chose them as they had been recommended by a friend. We visited Wadi Rum, Petra and the Dead Sea. We had a great time and really enjoyed all the sights - if you haven't visited Jordan we would highly recommend it. We were also very impressed by Jordan Select Tours and would definitely recommend their services: 1. the travel consultant (Amira) was very helpful - we could create a flexible tour, her responses were prompt and the pricing was transparent. The hotels that she selected were very good as well. 2. we were met at the airport to ensure that the visa was processed smoothly - this was very helpful. 3. our driver (Ibrahim) was excellent - he had great English and was a safe driver. Moreover, we particularly appreciated his very good practical knowledge of activities and timings, for example, how long it would take to do each activity (e.g. jeep tour of Wadi Rum). This meant we could see everything without being rushed. He also helped with practical arrangements such as changing money. Finally, he is a very interesting person and we enjoyed chatting to him very much.

An amazing place to be in. One of the world's seven wonders. The history of Petra goes back thousands of year, here you see traces from civilization that date back to the iron age, the city also is more than 2500 years old with fascinating site seeing opportunities. Carved in colored stone covering a huge area on mountains and valleys, great for walking and hiking. The village near the ruins is full of hotels, restuarants and camping site. Petra is a great place to visit so come and enjoy.

We had an amazing tour guide, Sufian, who was so friendly and accommodating...not to mention entertaining and knowledgeable! Great service, friendly driver, the guide was excellent. But loads of "hidden costs", which is a bit of an overkill when considering what the day trip cost.

We had an excellent time in Jordan, which we toured with the benefit of a private tour. Although initially nervous about using a local company, I can't recommend them enough. Everything went to plan, plus a couple of extras our driver Abrahem suggested - the Turkish bath after 8 hours or walking around the spectacular ruins of Petra was just what was needed. Thoroughly recommended!!

We visited Petra on August 2nd. It is no doubt, great, magnificent, and very rich. Since, our visit was in the middle of the summer, Petra gets very hot. We arrived from Amman around 10:30 by a tourist van. There is a lot of efforts by the Petra management to keep the place clean, but this was not enough. Moreover, in order to tour the whole site, one needs more that 1 and half hours (at least). There were no shaded seating areas. Having said that, it is indeed a must see if one is visiting Jordan. I greatly recommend it. A piece of advice if your visiting Petra during summer, try to reach as early as 9:00 o'clock!

We had a great time traveling from Amman to the Dead Sea, Madaba, Petra, and Wadi Rum and back, and can't speak highly enough of Jordan Select Tours, who arranged the trip for us.
