This is a really great place to go to if you want make some glass art. I went there with my little sister and neither of us has experience with glass painting, but we still managed to complete our pieces with ease thanks to the instructions and help given to us. The atmosphere of the place is really welcoming and I felt so inspired immediately, there were also some really cute cats wandering around! My little sister printed out her design while I drew mine on paper, so I did take a little longer to finish mine, but the experience was still so lovely and I appreciate the creative freedom that they gave me. They also have a prayer mat if you want to pray, and they offered us tea, water, and snacks too. I highly recommend this place if you want to make glass art, it’s a very lovely workshop and I already wanna go there again!

Itinerary
Activity Description for Travelers Spend an hour painting on glass in a 1930s heritage house in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh. No experience is needed - your instructor stays beside you, and the outliner and paints do most of the work. What you'll do: Choose your design - a hamsa, a lemon branch, an icon, a cat, or something of your own. Trace the outline onto the glass in relief. This is the raised line that gives the piece its stained-glass look. Fill the shapes with special permanent glass paints and watch the colours flood and settle. Take a coffee break with tea, juices, fruit and pastries, included in the price. You leave with the finished panel in your hands. Light passes through it, so it is made to sit in a window. The studio is also a working art cafe and gallery, so you paint with other makers around you and the studio cats wandering between the tables. Suitable for complete beginners, good on your own, and better still with friends.

Fantastic place filled with lovely, helpful people. I did a glass-cutting workshop 2 years ago and had an amazing time. I recently went back to re-solder my piece - I was welcomed and shown so much care and attention. English and Arabic speakers to help you. It’s also a social place. You can also meet others who are doing the other workshops at the same time.
My friend and I had a great time with our glass painting workshop! Arwa and the others at Gilgamesh are helpful, friendly and made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommend!
A very cozy place. we tried glass painting for the first time, we spent around three hours there and it was a lovely experience. Laith is amazing very kind and helpful. the atmosphere is wonderful and truly felt like home. Highly recommended, and I will definitely go again.
I did the glass painting workshop. Cats there were so cute and friendly, staff are so nice. Was an amazing experience. Had so much fun!
A brilliantly relaxed evening with talented guides - highly recommended! We will be coming back again soon. This time we did the glass painting - while others in the same group chose to paint pottery. They also offered stained glass window making and Japanese pottery.
This was an amazing experience! I did the glass painting, which was super easy and fun. I got to pick out a design (you can also bring your own to print out), outline it on the glass and then color it in. Laith, the owner, was super helpful and so nice to talk to. I would definitely recommend as a creative experience in Amman!
Really good experience! They let us stay for 4 hours, helped us whenever we spilled paint on part of the glass painting, and were super friendly.

I had a wonderful time painting on glass at this place! The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and the staff and instructors were all so kind and welcoming. Everything was well-organized, and the whole experience felt both creative and calming. Thank you so much for making our time there so enjoyable — I truly appreciate the positive energy and the beautiful setup. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful artistic experience! 😍😍
I had a fantastic experience at Gilgamesh Arts Cafe in Amman. As someone who has done ceramics before, I really appreciated the opportunity to explore new Japanese ceramic techniques in one of their workshops. The teaching was clear and hands-on, and I came away having learned new skills that expanded my creative practice. The real highlight for me, though, was the stained glass painting workshop—without a doubt the best workshop I took at Gilgamesh. I enjoyed it so much that I followed it up with their master class in stained glass, which covered cutting, foiling, and soldering in a well-structured and inspiring way. Over the course of the class, I completed two personal stained glass projects, designed to be used as table lights—something I never imagined I’d be able to create! Arwa and the entire team were fantastic—encouraging, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. The centre itself is beautifully set up and well-stocked with all the materials you need to bring your ideas to life. If you’re in Amman and looking to develop hands-on artistic skills in a supportive, well-equipped space, I highly recommend Gilgamesh Arts Cafe. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, there’s something here to inspire you.
The workshop was amazing! And the snacks were delicious all home made, and we had the best tea experience in Amman. We made a beautiful piece of stained glass and they made the experience easy. They are very hospitable and welcoming.
This was a wonderful class- had so much fun being creative during the glass painting class and the food was incredible! Wonderful ambiance and environment, hosted by lovely owners/tutors who are eager to chat and very welcoming! Thank you
I had an amazing time painting glass at Gilgamesh Art cafe I enjoyed every minute of the workshop ✨ I loved the experience I highly recommend it ✨
This was my first time doing stained art glass and it was great! You can do your own design or choose one and the team will explain the whole process to you. It definitely takes longer than indicated but you can come back for free anytime and there will be plenty of tea and good conversations to keep you going ;)
I went with my friend to try painting on glass for the first time. We booked a one hour session but the host was extremely patient with us and we basically stayed for 5 hours to finish the work at our pace. The pieces turned out beautiful. He was very helpful and thorough. He even served us homemade Crostata and tea which made us feel at home. All in all I highly recommend!
