Hotel Toledo exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but what really stood out was the staff. Genuinely warm, attentive, and helpful , not in a scripted way, but in a way that actually makes you feel welcome. One of the reception team recommended a great local restaurant without me even asking. Small thing, big impression. Breakfast was good too. If you're looking for a place where you're treated like a guest and not just a booking number, this is it. Will definitely be back.

After a 9 hour flight, we arrived at the hotel at 6:00 in the morning. At first we just wanted to store our luggage and leave, since the check-in time is in the afternoon. To our surprise, they were able to grant us early check-in. That was a godsend. Nothing beats being able to take a proper rest after a long flight. Not only that, the restaurant manager offered us free breakfast for that morning too! It was our first day in Jordan and receiving such a warm welcome definitely left a great first impression about Jordanian people. Everyone was professional and friendly at this hotel. The breakfast was very satisfying. Not only they have multitude of choices, the quality of food was extreme high too. This is one of the very few hotels in this area that has a parking garage. I'd say it's 100% more convenient and safer than parking on the street. The hotel is just 15 minutes drive away from the Citadel and theatre. The room was clean and modern. They also have a very well-equipped gym and a pool on the ground floor. This place is everything I can ask for and more.
would like to leave an excellent review for Toledo Hotel. The facilities are very comfortable and spotless, but what truly makes this place special is the people. Abdulrahman and Nabil went far beyond their duties by supporting me during a difficult situation with an external provider. They stayed with me even outside of their working hours, making me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. There is no way to repay this kind of attention—it goes far beyond good hospitality and speaks to genuine human kindness. Thank you for everything
The Toledo Hotel boasts a fantastic location in Amman, making it an excellent base for exploring the city's highlights. The hotel's beautiful architecture and charming ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious and well-sized, offering a comfortable studio suite feel. The breakfast selection was particularly enjoyable, providing a solid start to the day. However, there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement to enhance guest comfort, especially during the cooler winter months. Amenities in the room were somewhat limited, with only two single coffee pods and two small bottles of water provided. We experienced issues with the heating system, which initially blew cold air despite our requests for adjustments. The staff were responsive and provided a fan heater, though it didn't function effectively at first. A second heater eventually resolved the issue, allowing the room to reach a more comfortable 19–20 degrees Celsius. As guests accustomed to cooler weather from Canada, we appreciated the effort but found the thin duvet inadequate for the season, and it's worth noting that some guests reportedly complained about overheating, leading to the heating being turned off. The shower presented another challenge, with only the handheld option working reliably while the rain shower head was non-operational. Temperature control was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold, which made for frustrating experiences. Despite these inconveniences, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel's older property design—featuring rooms below street level down a steep hillside—adds to its unique character. Overall, the Toledo Hotel has undeniable charm and potential, but addressing the heating and shower issues would greatly improve the stay. I'd recommend it for those prioritizing location and aesthetics, provided they check for seasonal comforts in advance.
This would have been a wonderful 5/5 hotel if it wasn't for one (very) bad experience. The staff were almost all fantastic, the room was lovely, nice food. But I have to warn women who want to swim- I had a horrible experience using the pool- there were men in the womens' changing room. When we stayed (late Oct 2025) the pool and gym were open all day for men, but mixed (so women allowed) from 6am-2pm every day. While disappointed I could not use the pool the afternoon we arrived, I know things are different in this country (I'm British) and knew I'd need to work around some constraints. I went early the following morning, when mixed, and was shown to the (empty) women's changing rooms where I stripped down to my costume & board shorts, left my clothes in the changing room and went for my swim. When I came back to the changing room to change back to clothes to go back to my room, the womens changing room door was wide open and there was a man there (and several more men inside). When I said it was the women's changing room and pointed to the signs- the other for men ("men"), this one for women ("women") the man in there just smiled and said "no no, men men" pointing at both). I said my clothes were in there, loudly announced I was coming in, got them and came back out. I had to walk back to my room via reception in a dripping wet swimming costume and towel. Something I wouldn't want to do in any country, let alone a muslim country. Thank goodness I had swum in a sleeved swimming costume and boardshorts (I try to be respectful when visiting other cultures). I knew the swimming pool and gym were mixed but NOT the changing rooms, which were labelled as women's (and I'd been shown there by a staff member). A horrible experience. I am just glad they were in there when I came back- if I had finished earlier, men could have walked in while I was changing and completely undressed. The men there seemed to think being in the clearly labelled women's changing room was normal. I told reception afterwards and they said that wasn't normal and that they would investigate but did not say anything else about it afterwards.
