I expected a much higher standard from a St. Regis, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. The biggest issue throughout my stay was the complete lack of consistency and organization surrounding check-in and check-out. For my first stay (July 20–24), I booked through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts, which includes an early check-in when available. Instead, I wasn’t given my room until around 5–6 PM because the hotel claimed they were overbooked. After making me wait several extra hours for my room, they then refused to offer me a late checkout and repeatedly called me reminding me to leave on time. Their only response was, “We’re sorry.” It’s frustrating that the hotel expected flexibility from me but wasn’t willing to extend the same courtesy. It wasn’t just me. My brother stayed for one night and also didn’t receive his room until around 6 PM, yet he was still expected to check out at 1 PM the next day. That’s simply unacceptable. I returned for another stay from July 25–29. Before extending my reservation, the concierge confirmed I would have a 4 PM late checkout. Then, on the day I was leaving, I received a call at 12:45 PM telling me I had to check out immediately because a late checkout was “not possible.” They called me again at 1:45 PM saying the same thing. I had to go downstairs and argue my case, explaining that I had already been promised a 4 PM checkout. Only after wasting my time and dealing with unnecessary stress did they finally honor what they had originally promised. This wasn’t one isolated incident—it happened repeatedly across multiple stays. Constant miscommunication, long check-in delays due to overbooking, broken promises, and having to argue over things that had already been confirmed completely took away from what should have been a luxury experience. I’ve stayed at many five-star hotels, and I’ve never had to deal with this level of disorganization. A hotel carrying the St. Regis name should deliver exceptional service, not force guests to spend their vacation chasing down basic accommodations that were already promised.

We stopped by the hotel lobby for a coffee and had a very pleasant experience. The lobby is elegant, comfortable, and provides a relaxing atmosphere to unwind. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The coffee was excellent, served promptly, and enjoyed in a beautiful setting. Even though we were not staying at the hotel, we felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated the high standard of hospitality. A lovely place to meet friends, relax, or enjoy a quiet coffee break. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

I live in Amman and have never stayed at this hotel, but I really like the restaurant Zenith. Being able to enjoy a meal while looking out over the city of Amman makes it, in my opinion, one of the best places to bring friends who are visiting the city. However, after visiting the hotel for the Iftar event this time, I was disappointed with the service. The hotel provides valet parking for all vehicles. While this is certainly a good system, after returning home from the hotel I noticed a scratch on the left rear side of my car. This scratch was not there before my visit, so I contacted the hotel about it. However, they said that it did not happen during their valet service. If that is truly the case, I believe the hotel should show CCTV footage as evidence. If the hotel simply denies responsibility, I have no choice but to accept their claim, which feels very unfair. If I could see the evidence, I would be able to clearly accept whether it happened there or not. If situations like this can occur, it might actually be better to allow guests the option to park their cars themselves. Because of this experience, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed with the hotel’s service. I hope the hotel will pay more attention to customer convenience and responsibility so that it can live up to the reputation of a luxury hotel.
Dear St. Regis Amman team, specially Mr. Sharif AlShanti and Chef Abu Gharreb! This is a way overdue post since we got married end of Aug 2025 but finally we are getting the chance to write it. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you and your entire team for making our wedding celebration truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, every detail—from the elegant setup and seamless coordination to the exceptional service and warm hospitality reflected the signature St. Regis touch. Your professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made the day feel effortless and magical for us and our guests. We are deeply appreciative of the effort and dedication that went into ensuring everything was perfect. Till this day our guests keep talking about our wedding dinner buffet and desserts. It was more than wow. The other highlight that got me just amazed, is Mr. Sharif and his coworker lady manger heard me complaining about my flowers bouquet. In less than an hour my flowers bouquet was remade with real flowers and brought to my wedding suit to make me happy and make my grand entrance to the hall with real flowers. That’s unforgettable and over an above service anyone could ask for. Thank you for helping us create memories we will cherish for a lifetime. With warmest appreciation, Sarah & Joseph!
