Grand Hotel Madaba

The worst experience I have it room not that much clean, toilet the water very low not that much , and the big worst happen to me that they say the open buffet at dinner from 7-10 PM we down at 8 pm no food updates just few they just put it only one time, the tables dirty when we ask to clean the table no respond and action , we request the manager the manager says go see another table !!!! Ok which one? all of them are dirty!! not recommended at all if there was 0 star I will put it , and recommend the Jordan Ministry of Tourism to re-classify this hotel as 4 stars hotel

We had a pleasant stay overall and found the hotel to be a good base for exploring Madaba. The highlights were definitely the staff. The reception team was always available, incredibly friendly, and gave us great recommendations throughout our stay. A special thank you to Moustafa from the breakfast service, who took excellent care of us. He was very attentive and even offered to prepare lunch boxes for us on days when we would be leaving too early for breakfast, which was a thoughtful gesture we really appreciated. The air conditioning worked extremely well, which made a big difference during the hot weather. The pool was also enjoyable, and the location is excellent. There are several good restaurants nearby, including Fresco, which is very affordable with wonderful staff. A special mention to Brahim, who was always kind to us and even put on the World Cup matches so we could watch them. The atmosphere there is great, and you can even play board games. Ayar, a Lebanese restaurant nearby, is another good dining option (expensive) and has a very welcoming Egyptian staff. The hotel is also within walking distance of the souk and St. George's Church. There are a few areas where improvements could be made. Hot water was generally only available at night, which was a bit inconvenient. The pool hours also felt somewhat restrictive. Some of the advertised hotel services, such as the bay window bar and pool bar, appeared unavailable during our stay, as there was never anyone present to serve guests. The property could also benefit from some maintenance and updating. Certain areas showed signs of wear and tear, and cleanliness could be more thorough; for example, we noticed a cigarette butt on the floor after housekeeping had cleaned the room. The bed and couches were EXTREMELY squeaky, some cups were chipped or heavily scratched, and housekeeping did not always replace the Nescafé supplies or clean the spoon provided in the room. Despite these issues, the staff's kindness, the excellent location, and the overall value made for an enjoyable stay.

The room was great and comfy. The service was good and the staff were too friendly. So for me I recommend this hotel to stay especially there are too many coffee shops nearby.Also if I had to visit Jordan again I will book in it.

The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the check‑in process was smooth. Having coffee and a kettle in the room was a nice convenience. Breakfast was disappointing, no fresh juices, no napkins, and no assistance. Only one waiter was available, and he wasn’t wearing a uniform, which affected the overall service. At checkout, there was no one available to help with the luggage, which made leaving a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a good place to stay for one or two nights maximum, especially if you value cleanliness. The breakfast service and checkout assistance need improvement.
