Best excursion day ever. My partner agreed. The crew was so friendly and attentive that we were at ease to experience the wonders of the reef and caye caulker. 10/10, do not choose another provider. It was a day we'll never forget!

Itinerary
Enjoy this Private tour conducted by experienced Tour Guides who lead our guests to Snorkel in one of our best locations next to the Barrier reef of Belize called Hol Chan Marine Reserve where marine life is bustling. We then proceed to Snorkel at Shark Ray Alley with the nurse sharks where we feed them sardines and they are very friendly. Next, we go spotting the Manatees on our way to the Island of Caye Caulker. We then arrive at Caye Caulker where our guests can buy their lunch from some of the best restaurants on the Island. Another epic venue in Caye Caulker is feeding the protected tarpons they love sardines and people feeding them. We also allow our guests to swim at certain spots. Lastly, we take tour guests back to the pickup location and all the excitement comes to an end. Note that Snorkel gear rental and the Reserve entrance fee are not included in the total price.

This was a great all-day excursion! They picked us up from the dock on our rental house, and navigated the choppy, windy waters really well. We first went to HolChan to snorkel, and our guide (Sonny) was free diving down and showing us all the hiding rays, sharks, groupers, and giant schools of fish. Then we went over to Shark Ray Alley and got to swim in the waters while they fed the sharks from the boat. After that, they took us to Caye Caulker where they recommended a really nice beach BBQ that the locals were enjoying as well. We had a good amount of time on the island to explore, and ended up at a fun beach bar with tables in the water. After that, we went over to feed the Tarpon, and then on to see the seahorses and touch/swim with the stingrays at a quiet beach. It was an awesome full day experience, and they dropped us off back at our dock!
Alex and his crew are the real deal! He was so great with all the kids - we have two little ones - a 6 year old and a 10 year old - neither have ever snorkeled. He was so attentive and caring that they both did every activity and loved them. The tour itself it’s just magical and the surprises keep coming. I’ve snorkeled a bunch but I would rate this as my best snorkeling trip ever. Huge thumbs up for a wonderful informative and unforgettable day.
This was hands down everyone’s favorite day of our family spring break trip in ambergrys caye. All 7 of us - 6 yo, 10 yo, 16 and 17 yo and adults - were able to enjoy snorkeling hol chon and shark ray alley because alex and his crew went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable and safe while also having a blast. This is a local belizean family run business and you really feel like you’re getting a locals tour of the islands. I never imagined my 6 or 10 year old would swim with nurse sharks or pet sting rays but alex is so good with teaching the kids to snorkel that they both experienced something they’ll remember for life. Our teenagers loved hanging out with the guides swimming in caye caulker. And for us grown ups it was the best guided tour we have taken in any of our travels. Do yourself a favor and book any tour with these guys, we’ll definitely be back!
Good tour although the actual snorkeling was not that long. We saw quite large fish, turtles, sharks and quite a few schools of fish. It is deeper than most reef sites so it was interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and an accomplished free diver. I would recommend this trip.
We went out with Sunny and Brandon on the HolChan Shark Ray Alley Cay Caulker Manatee Spotting trip and HAD SO MUCH FUN with these two that I booked a second day with them directly through their website. I LOVED THESE GUYS! They wanted to know what our priority was so they could tailor the trip to spend more time doing what we really wanted to do and they were 100% dedicated to making it happen. They were FUN, warm, friendly, happy, and just had such a great vibe. They had fun too!! We saw everything the tour mentioned - we got to explore HolChan which was amazing - and Sunny (our snorkeling guide and boat captain) happens to be a free diver and incredibly knowledgeable about all the sealife which just enhanced an already amazing experience. They spotted a manatee so we swam with the manatee and rays and nurse sharks, fed tarpon, fed the stingrays, had a super relaxing time on Caye Caulker, and just loved our entire experience with Wicked Adventures of Belize. This was by far our favorite tour company and I highly recommend spending as much time with them as possible. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back! They were the highlight of our trip. I felt like we were out for the day on a boat with our friends!
Wicked Adventures delivered an unforgettable day on the ocean in Ambergris Caye. From start to finish, our guide Sonny and first mate Brandon were absolutely incredible. It was our first time snorkeling, and they made the entire experience feel effortless and completely stress-free—even while swimming with sharks! Their calm confidence, clear guidance, and genuine care made us feel safe and excited the whole time. We also took a trip over to Caye Caulker, where Sonny went above and beyond—hooking us up with amazing local street food and showing us some true hidden gems of the island. There are definitely a few secrets we can’t share… you’ll just have to experience those for yourself 😉 Wicked Adventures is perfect for small groups or families looking for personalized, unrushed service. You can really feel the passion behind what they do. Supporting local guys who are living their dream made the experience even better. Whether you go out with Alex or Sonny, you’ll be treated right. Highly recommend Wicked Adventures for anyone looking to experience Belize the right way. 🌊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Too busy having fun to take lots of pictures!)
Alex was an awesome guide! He knew a ton about the wildlife and the history of San Pedro and Caye Kaulker. I highly recommend This group for any adventure!
If I could give our experience 6 stars, I would. Captain Sonny and Brandon, our Wicked Adventures guides, took my family and I out to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley for snorkeling. On our multiple stops around Kaye Caulker, we fed massive tarpons by hand and got to pet friendly sting rays. On this trip we saw sea turtles, nurse sharks (Sonny estimated the largest to be 14'), star fish, sea horses, sting rays, tarpon and countless species of tropical fish. For context, my kiddos are ages 18 (son) and 14 (daughter). My wife is 48-years old and I am 52. Sonny and Brandon were absolutely awesome! Helpful, informative, attentive, funny, personable...absolutely first class!! This was my fourth time to Ambergris Kaye and on future returns to Ambergris Kaye and/or Kaye Caulker, I will only consider Wicked Adventures for our excursions. I could not have been happier with our experience and we made memories that will last a lifetime. Huge thanks to Sonny and Brandon for spending the day with us!!
We had a great time with Wicked Adventures and our captain Sonny. He took us around Hol Chan, we saw eagle rays and turtles. We also went to shark/ray alley. We were able to find the Manatees and jump in to swim around them. We had lunch at Caye Caulker and we also checked out seahorses and hand fed tarpon. Sonny was a great guide, he new exactly what to do, he kept everything fun, moving and kept us engaged (even our 14 yr old daughter). He was great at explaining history, pointing out wildlife and quick with a joke. It was great seeing wildlife and doing activities that aren't just the normal boat, snorkel, go home.
We simply had an amazing time with Captian Alex of Wicked Adventures of Belize. He was very knowledgeable regarding all the sea life of the area. With one parent from America, and one from Belize he easily connected to us as Americans, yet knows the culture and history of the area. He went above and beyond to point out different types of fish and coral during our snorkeling. It was obvious we were getting to see and learn WAY than the other larger groups around us out there! I can't even count what all we saw up close or got to touch at the various stops we made. Our group of 8 adult adults were very please we decided to book a private tour with Alex and Wicked Adventures vs the other group tours I had been looking at. Since it was private, he was very flexible with what we wanted to do, and how we prefered to break up our day with snokeling and time in Caye Caulker. The manatees were not out the day of our adventure, but hopefully they will be next time. We will not hesitate to book Alex again when we return to San Pedro with our children!
Always a great day on the boat to see and learn from a knowledgeable guide that definitely knows the areas. Interesting and worth the pricewevegroughlyvenhoyedour day out with Alex. Would hjghly recommend him for this adventure You can’t go wrong very knowledgeable and lots oflfun so go out and enjoyout and have a great time.
Our guide Sheldon was knowledgeable and experienced. There were only the 4 from our party and never felt rushed. Wicked Adventures arranged to pick us up near where we were staying. We were early enough to beat the crowds at Hol Chan and SharkRay Alley and had the opportunity to be flexible with our time. The snorkeling was fabulous! We enjoyed wandering Caye Caulker, feeding the Tarpon(what a thrill) and seeing the seahorses. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure in Belize, look no further than Wicked Adventures! From start to finish, this company exceeded every expectation. Their communication was excellent, always informing us about pick up times, locations, equipment, and responding to questions very quickly. We took two snorkeling trips and a fishing trip with them. The team of guides is nothing short of exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about both the environment and providing an incredible experience. They made sure we felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire journey, whether we were snorkeling or fishing. The crystal-clear blue waters of Belize are simply breathtaking, and the marine life is abundant and vibrant. We were lucky enough to see a variety of tropical fish, rays, turtles, manatees, and plenty of sharks, all while floating in the warm, turquoise waters. Our snorkeling guide, Ricky, was awesome. He knew the best spots to snorkel, pointing out hidden creatures in the coral reef. There were plenty of ice cold waters, sodas and beers as well as fresh ceviche when we got back in the boat. Our fishing guides, Pancho and Julio took great care of us too, helping us all reel in plenty of fish outside the reef. Later, we came inside the reef and they helped our son find lobsters and he was able to spear them. They grilled up a delicious lunch for us while we relaxed on shore. Whether you're snorkeling or fishing, a beginner or experienced, Wicked Adventures caters to everyone. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the entire trip seamless and enjoyable. I can’t recommend them enough—this is the best way to experience the magic of Belize's underwater world!
Let me start by saying this was not my first time in San Pedro; however, it was hands down my favorite time visiting, which was largely due to the incredible excursion we had with Wicked Adventures!! Poncho and Garrett picked us up outside of our condo and took us on a wonderful adventure where we got to snorkel Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley, which both were enough to make my little heart happy but that was nowhere near the highlights of the trip! Poncho and Garrett were able to help me cross a bucket list item off my list and found two amazing manatees for us to swim with! INCREDIBLE!! We then spend some time in Caye Caulker which was absolutely lovely, we then went to feed the tarpon (super fun!) and to round things off they brought us to the sea horse garden; therefore, checking another thing off my list by getting to see a sea horse!! I will always recommend Wicked Adventures to all who visit San Pedro and will return to have some more fun with you guys! Thank you for an unforgettable time!! 💜
Alex and his crew do it the best ! Poncho and Garrett were so fun ! Professional, on time and they led us to all the sports so we can get the most out of our day - we snorkeled, swam with the manatees, relaxed on the boat, fed the tarpons, visited caye caulker and ate all the good food … thanks to them for giving us a memorable Thanksgiving 🧡
My 84 yo mother and I were so well taken care of by Poncho and Kanton. If you’re on the fence on whether to do a private tour… just do it! We hit all the highlights, never felt rushed, and they were a wealth of info. Thanks guys!
My husband and I went on a tour with Alex and Julio and had an amazing time. We enjoyed Hol Chan, saw 3 (!) manatees and spent at least 20 mins following them around, enjoyed Caye Caulker, saw sea horses, and fed tarpon. It was great all around. The boat was comfortable, Alex and Julio shared tons of information along the way, and they were able to arrange it for us very last minute. I highly recommend them. We were going to go with our hotel’s dive shop but based upon the large group size, and lack of room engagement from the dive shop staff, we were very happy to have gone with Wicked Adventures of Belize instead. Highly, highly recommend!
First excursion in Belize and it couldn't have gone better. Alex and David were the perfect guides. It was my girlfriend's first time ever snorkeling and Alex was incredibly patient and helpful. Their local knowledge and fantastic personalities made the day so much better. I absolutely will use them the next time I am in Belize.
Pancho and Greg made sure we saw a lot of Belize sea life. It was a beautiful day on the reef and Caye Caulker. My son got to jet ski for the first time so that was a lot of fun while on Caye Caulker. Each snorkel spot was beautiful and unique AND these guys have a knack for getting you there before the crowds. It was such a fun day from start to finish.
Alex and Julio were absolutely amazing, making sure our trip was fun and packed with activities. They taught my teens how to fish, helped them get comfortable to swim with the sharks and manatee, and took us to an amazing spot in Caye Caulker to cook up the fish we caught. Aside from enjoying the awesome activities the crew had planned for us, Alex and Julio were simply amazing company.
We had an extraordinary time with Wicked Adventures! It was the most impressive service we’ve had on a vacation, hence the long review. There is no way we would have had such an incredible time if it was not for this company. Most of the tour companies will offer similar experiences. However, our tour guides always went above and beyond. Our guides were Alex and Jhoan. It was really first-rate service. I cannot possibly list out all the extra things they did for us to make the trip magical. They were young, energetic, positive and funny, and they always made my young daughters feel safe and at ease. The constant positivity, friendliness, and energy brought so much fun to the trip. They were able to help my 77-year-old mother in and out of the boat and pull her around on the snorkel trips. They were so knowledgeable. They could find anything in the water from wildlife to shipwrecks. They found beautiful seashells for my mother. They would dive down deep for long periods of time and find all kinds of underwater life, from eels to seahorses, to barracuda. They always seemed to know when I wish I could have some footage of the family and they would take my GoPro and swim around us. They were always flexible, doing whatever we wanted to do. When we wanted to change our plans and go back to Hol Chan and to feed the sharks, they were able to do it. Everywhere we went, people knew them, and they were able to quickly get chum for the sharks. They were always responsive to chats and emails. I have an email chain over 60 emails long (because I’m very particular)! They did so many other things, but I don’t want to list them all. I’m sure every adventure is different. But I would not want to go out without them. We did four excursions with them which included Hol Chan, rays, sharks, finding a manatee, finding a turtle, coral gardens, Mexico rocks, Caye Caulker, visiting two shipwrecks, a cave where cold fresh water was coming up, night snorkeling, and feeding tarpons. Their boats were very clean and well-maintained. Some of our trips we were on their larger boat. A couple of times we were on their smaller boat, but it was still quite spacious for the five of us.
We went on a full day tour of snorkeling (Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan), Caye Caulker, manatee spotting and a few other activities. It was well worth it to go with these guides. Sheldon took us out and he gave us a ton of history about the island and all of the spots we hit. I had taken the same tour with a different operator the previous year and though we saw the same attractions, we didn’t learn anything about the culture of the island or the geography. It added a lot to the tour. I recommend these guys.
Hard to summarize how great these guides are, but I'll try! This is our 2nd time booking w/ Wicked Adventures of Belize; the first was 2020 and this one was just as amazing as the last! Our first time doing Hol Chan, we were a little nervous, but Alex & Pancho put us at ease and led us every step of the way! We saw creatures and coral we've never seen before and Pancho knew EVERY SINGLE ONE! He took the time to point out unique features or marine life and gave us history and cultural background information as well. As a self-defined nerd, I loved it- Highly recommend this company and ALL their staff, we love seeing them each time we visit and communication via email or other channel is extremely responsive and can adjust if weather had any impact on the day's schedule. Thanks, again, guys! We can't wait to book another trip w/ you, SOON! On our trip was saw Hol Chan, Shark Alley/Sting Rays, and were lucky enough to spot a turtle, manatee, and hand fed the tarpon and visited the protected Seahorse area on Caye Caulker. So worth the whole day of events!
We found Wicked Adventures of Belize through TripAdvisor and decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed. We liked the idea the tour was private and run by locals who knew the waters around Ambergris well. We chose the "Snorkel Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley and Caye Caulker Manatee Spotting" and had an incredible day with Pancho at the helm and Ricardo as First Mate. Pancho knew exactly where the action was and took us directly to a beautiful school of sharks for our first snorkel dive of the day. We spent a good amount of time swimming with the sharks before heading over for a dive with rays - a lot of rays. Spectacular. Adventuring onward we proceeded to a reef where a huge manatee was padding about on the seabed. Bizarre looking animal. Pre historic. Really cool. We were fairly worn out and headed over to Caye Caulker for a great lunch of fresh caught whole snapper and a walk through town. On the way back Pancho showed us a sunken barge - the "Beer Barge" which sank some years back - packed with beer. Really interesting. It has become a reef with loads of sea life living on and in its hold. The beer is long gone. Pancho claims to have drank a good share of it and I believe him. Finally, we stopped to feed Tarpon before heading back to Ambergris. This was a spectacular day. We liked it so much we booked a half day for a tour of Mexico Rocks and a few secret spots known only to the locals.
