Didn’t expect to pay minimum of $50 US dollars for a cart that either backfired or was falling apart. With the roads the way they are you need to get one with some sort of better suspension

Read the poor reviews. I didn’t and we didnt have a good experience. I reaerved a six seat golf cart for a week. One the couples coming got sick and hospital a couple days before we headed in vacation. I asked if we could adapt our reservation to a four seater and Jamal said I couldnt because he turned down others for the reservation. I then mentioned that Viator had a 24 hr free cancellation and I would just do that and reserve a different cart. He then called me and told me I was twisting his arm and he would leave the reservation in place and give me the difference in cash when we got there. Fine. We got there and he had the six seater there for us anyway and said we would need it to fit the luggage. Foriegn country, getting screwed and knowing it, I didnt resist. He planned all along to make us take that cart. We asked other companies what they do about bags and they said they would have assisted in packing the cart and help deliver them if they didnt fit. I wished I had picked one of those companies. The cart pictured online looked pretty new. Our cart clearly wasnt. It was run down looking and we had trouble starting out three times do to poor tuning and it was the only cart that we heard all week on the island backfire. And it backfired often. Live and learn I guess, but I hope this review helps others try other rental companies that are hopefully less shady in their practices.

The cart we were given had no seat cushions, no shocks and the hand shift under the seat kept getting stuck. We came back earlier and were still overcharged $10 US for a 2 hr hour rental, we had only driven this holf cart about 15mins away and had spent most of the time in the water. Not worth it, plenty of other options around.

6 passenger golf cart rental: cart was in good condition, we had no problems. Don’t hesitate to use this service. My only complaint: we rented it for 9 days. We got weekly rate and then a daily rate. I think they should have given us a discount for the additional 2 days.

The process was SO easy. They dropped the cart at our hotel, gave a quick walk through on how it worked, where NOT to park, and closest gas stations. The pick up was even easier. I would highly recommend them.

The timing didn’t work bc I reserved close to their closing same, same day, but the owner called and followed up and refunded me immediately and courteously tried to coordinate for cart drop-off the following morning. So, we didn’t get to use the carts but I want to highlight the quick responsiveness!! Prices were very good too!

When we arrived to San Pedro everything went well. The pickup, the friendly staff, the quality of the cart everything was all good so we thought. The owner advised us to lock up the cart. We did just that EVERY time. The day we were leaving the cart was stolen. Mind you there are a couple of carts parked but the one we rented was stolen. This was discovered hours before we were set to travel back home. We immediately called the police and J&H ... The owner tried to make me pay for a new golf cart. The police found the golf cart it had NO damage. But the kicker the person who "found" the golf cart wanted a finders fee of $2500 and expected us to pay it!!!! The second kicker the cart had no damage. The lock still in tack the starter, everything. The police said who ever took it had a key. I cussed everyone out and went home. There is so much more details that point to the owner trying to scam me, but you get the point. Almost missed my flight dealing with this.

J&H has been in business for over 10 years. They offer reliable golf carts rentals with excellent service. Our cart was clean and in good condition. I highly suggest booking everything with them online. J&H was in communication with us prior to our booking. Check-in and drop-off were smooth and easy. They will pick you up at the airport, and you can either drop the cart off at the airport when you leave or drive it to J&H and they'll take you to the airport. I highly recommend J&H

Jamal was great! This is my second time to rent golf cart from them. They will pick you up from the airport and are very responsive. We have so many options to choose from when it comes down to renting golf cart. 100% recommended!

While it is not the newest cart, the customer service was exceptional! Jamel picked up the cart at the end of stay by walking to our hotel and we were able to add an extra day with no issue. Kind, pleasant and attentive. The cart worked very well and got great gas mileage.

August 2023 I travelled down to San Pedro from San Ignacio in Cayo, Belize for a day trip on August 9th. Its not long. You catch the early morning bus at about 4:15am, reach Belize City by about 7 am and then make your way by either taxi or foot the mile or so to the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi that leaves on its first trip at 8am to the Cayes. The first hour of the beautiful ride you stop at Caye Caulker, then in the next half hour you arrive in San Pedro. The J&H Golf Cart Rental is located very conveniently by a short walk along the beach to the left from where you arrive, go past Estel's Restaurant by the Sea and go up the lane to the corner of the Spindrift Hotel. Jamal or his brother Chris will link you up quickly with an excellent ride. They will point out how much gas is in the cart and you return it at the same level. A day of driving is just a few dollars of gas and day rentals around $45US. You are checked in literally in minutes. They are excellent at getting you on your way and exploring. Most of the things I needed to get done were completed in a few hours but the day was great and one more day would be relaxing. After returning the cart with very easy drop off right outside the office I walked next door and to the front desk of the Spindrift Hotel. A beautiful building, right in town and on the beach. As you enter the lobby it becomes more bright with the light and plants of the central atrium open to the clear blue sky. Checkin with Ms Yami is very friendly and welcoming and you are with key in hand walking up the lovely atrium with the sky above and unobstructed view to the sea ahead and to your room in a few minutes. Many of the rooms with ocean view and balcony as an option and a very comfortable large bed. The Spindrift Hotel is central and within walking distance of the water taxi and some of the finest dining and shopping in San Pedro and just steps to the sea. The sound of the waves on the shore, the wind and the sea breeze comforting during your sleep and a restful night. If you wish to sleep in make sure you pull your blinds as the sky will get light near 4:30am and the sunrise behind the spray off the reef, the spindrift, lit up like sparkling diamonds with the suns first rays, about an hour later. Both J&H Golf Cart Rental at the Spindrift Hotel make visiting San Pedro easy and welcoming. I highly recommend both.

J&H grew was amazing they picked us up at the water taxi helped us with all our luggage they direct us to our place explainned how the cart works we got some tips from them where to go in the island the were amazing we will use them again soon highly recommend thanks guys

J&H met us at the dock, they made it easy. We had no issues with the golf cart. Pricing was very reasonable for a week at $275 USD.

We can't say enough good things about this company! We were late getting in and they were right there waiting for us. Rental went quick and easy and the golf cart performed flawlessly with daily use for 7 straight days. The true customer service came when on our last day when we changed plans on them 3 different times and they never once complained or caused us any trouble. They rolled with every change and gave great service! If you're going to San Pedro do yourself a favor and check them out. We definitely would use them over and over again!

Got to San Pedro 3/18/23 rented a cart for 4 days from J&H. The cart was badly beat up, ran poorly (consistently backfiring), terrible suspension and extremely hard to steer. Brought it back but was told I could only exchange it if I wanted to pay for an upgrade. Next morning it wouldn't start so I dropped the keys off and received a partial refund. Was told there was nothing they could do for the full tank of gas I put in. So it cost me $65 for the rental and $45 in gas for an aft to secret beach. Very poor customer service from Jamal. seemed like he couldn't care less. With all the choices for rentals, this shouldn't be one of them.

They picked us up from the airport, the carts worked great couldn't ask for more. Had a break down and they came out immediately to fix it, no issues after that.

STAY AWAY FROM J & H I would like to advise both locals and tourist to stay away from this place. He is eager to rent to a tourist so he can take advantage of you and I say this because I called him while I was on the island to rent a Cart for 4 hours because I had only arranged 3 days with the other rental MTK who was awesome btw but they didn't have another cart available for an additional 4 hours so I called around to a few places and finally Jand H and Chris answered I spoke to him in English and he eagerly said he had one for $45.00 so we rushed over within 5 mins when got there he realized I was local because I spoke in creole when I got to his place he immediately said he didn't have a cart anymore I was upset because I had someone drop me off at his location to pick-up the cart but he had quoted 45 and he would have to charge me in Bze Dollars now but if it was a tourist he would have charged in USD so we got into it after I called back to MTK to let them know what they did and was advised that is how they operate. He got angry because in my private conversation with MTK he overheard me referring to him as and A-hole and that tripped him off but I won't take it back he is what he is He threatened to kick my husband in the face because my husband called his an A-hole to his face after he walked up to hearing him cursing at me. He was mad because I told him he is not even a born Belizean but he is here in Belize taking advantage of locals and tourist. Beware this guy is not a nice guy he has tons of negative reviews on Google search I would recommend MTK and VIP cart rentals over this guy his own country men from Lebanon says he is money hungry.

Stopped in and rented because we needed a cart to head to secret beach and J&H accepted credit cards. The guy in the office was all business. The cart itself was not great. There was a significant delay every time we stepped on the gas pedal and the cart was difficult to steer. In the end it was a golf cart and there are a hundred places to get a cart in San Pedro. We gambled and this one didn’t pay off. It got us to the beach and back, but we wouldn’t rent from here again.

Very happy with the service provided. They did everything and more. Picked us at the airport, drove us to the rental location to get the golf cart. Gave us some excellent recommendations, which we did use. Golf cart worked and we had no issues. Would recommend.

It's been fun riding the golf cart around the island. So far I have no issues. The staff greeted us at the water taxi and everyone was friendly. The price wasn't so bad. I would use them again

Easy to locate the company. Very close to the ferry dock. Friendly rep who provided all the needed info to be safe and enjoy our trip.

They gave me a cart with a large hole in the windshield and torn seats. Halfway through the trip the cart would no longer start and they had to bring me a replacement. Not a good experience at all!!

Jamal and his team were amazing!! They waited for us patiently to arrive although our ferry was almost 45 minutes late. Jamal also very easily extended our rental period without us having to come back into San Pedro. If you are on Ambergris, definitely see Jamal for your golf cart needs.

Worst golf cart rental company in San Pedro, stay away. Their golf carts all have issues, we had to get 2 and they both had major problems. The first golf cart had its lights turn off AT NIGHT due to bad wiring, which was super dangerous driving around - then the engine failed because it would not pull gas from the tank. We changed carts and the second golf cart had a major steering problem. Jamal is also rude, and refused honor the $40 per day "all in" price that we were promised by his cousin. He was mad that we were even sent over to rent one of his golf carts. We asked a few people in town and they all know that Jamal is rude, the locals don't like him either. Beware of the really bad golf carts - you can do better with pricing, be safe and not have the owner be rude.

The gold cart is the most affordable means of transportation. You can literally go anywhere in the island with the go cart. I like that you can just get up and go. I highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights in Ambergris and our very best decision was to rent a 6 person golf cart from Jamal at J&H Golf carts. Jamal was very easy to reach via email ( replies literally happened within minutes!). with our ever changing excursion plans I had to switch dates several times and Jamal was so patient with all the changes. His employee, Alex, was super prompt and waiting for us at the water Taxi as we arrived; helped us with our luggage as we walked a short distance ( few yards) to the J&fH office, the paperwork was simple and off we went. when we had to check out from our resort 2 hrs before our Ferry, Jamal was super kind and said no problem if we had to store our luggage in the office. Our golf cart worked well and travelled smoothly (except for the many road bumps!) and helped us discover so much more than if we were stuck at our resort even though it was in a beautiful location- this way we were able to discover shops and great eats in Ambergris and San Pedro!
