For three hours, you will go Snorkeling on the Great Belizean Barrier Reef by boat from Ambergris Caye. It's an experience of a lifetime as you get to see the wonderful marine life!
My family and I had such a great time on this tour with Bird Man!!!!! He made me feel so comfortable that I was even able to swim with the sharks, something I never ever thought I would do! BIrd Man took the time to show us everything… he would look for unique things to show us like the octopus! I would highly recommend!

We had the most amazing experience! We saw so many different types of fish, sharks, and barracudas as well as multiple sea turtles. Our tour guides were Julien and Kayden. Kayden was funny and so knowledgeable. He pointed out everything in the water and made us feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this tour

I had a good time. Kason, Able and Zen swam, explained and provided overwatch for all. We saw sharks, a turtle, fish and reef etc.
They told us the departure time was 8:30am to beat the crowds. The departure time was actually 9am, and we had to make two stops to pick up other passengers. When we arrived at the snorkeling sight there were already 15-20 other boats. They told us the number of guests was limited to 15, but we had more than that. The snorkeling guide insisted we look at the fish he wanted us to look at instead of letting us look at what we wanted to. It was frustrating and not relaxing. This is the worst snorkeling experience I have ever had.
A+. Fantastic from start to finish! Danny and Flip were our guides, there were nine of us total. The snorkeling itself is terrific but what really made the trip was the energy and attention of the guides. They split us into two groups and one of them was with us the entire time we were in the water. Flip pointed out every turtle, ray, fish, barracuda, excellent coral formation worth seeing with so much enthusiasm you’d think it was his first time ever leading the tour. It was just awesome. At stop 2 we fed and swam near (not too near!) the sharks, and then explored an excellent coral reef. All 9 of us…a mixture of adults and late teens…had an excellent time. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the half day tour with Rick, Lalo and other crew.They were funny and knowledgeable and patient with the varying abilities of those in our group. We did the snorkeling, but there were experienced divers as well. The array of sea creatures was fantastic, barracuda, stingrays, sea turtles….Also, they kept us safe.
We had a great time! Would definitely recommend this tour group- on time, well organized and saw a lot of great fish!!

Ambergris Divers tour of the Hol Chan marine and shark sting Ray alley was great. Thanks to Gio and Alday for their hospitality and knowledge. The sharks were amazing and a few rays beautiful. The front desk didn’t seem to have our information from Tripadvisor so make sure you have you confirmation email.
I appreciated this area. We were scuba diving. The area can be a bit congested with boats and snorkelers, but once we were able to get past them, we saw turtles, and a variety of fish. We swam in the canyon and through many schools of fish, that were also enjoying themselves. There is an individual fee that is paid at the time, for the upkeep, and restoration of the area. We were happy to donate to the cause. Thank you for taking us there, Scuba School and Family Dive Center.

We did snorkeling and saw a wide variety of fish. Very enjoyable snorkeling and water was good. We were on a small motor boat but it seemed fine
It this trip was about three hours. The crew was super nice, helpful, instructive and fun. The Rays, Sharks, fish, turtles and eels were fantastic! If we had more days here I would do this trip more than once.
allday and kason really looked after us and made sure we were safe. the variety of fish was amazing and we saw an octopus, barracuda, sharks and stingrays! Should be somewhere better place on boat that actually keeps personal items dry.

This was a great tour! The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and FUN! This tour is guided meaning you have to stay with your guide while in the water and they do a wonderful job of pointing things out. The guides were very passionate about the marine life, and the sea and that helped to make great conversation while at sea. Being in the water and seeing the reef and different types of marine life made me feel like I was swimming in an aquarium. We saw stingrays, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and half the cast of Finding Nemo. I didnt' get in the water when we got to shark alley but my friend did. There were a ton of sharks out there. Things to note: They give adults the option to wear a life vest...even if you are an experienced swimmer, I would get the life vest...it will make your life easier...You will be in the water for about 45 min..,the water can be choppy and the guide takes you pretty far from the boat..it was a workout to say the least. Also, there will be quite a few tours out there at the same time...keep your eye on your guide so you don't get lost in another tour.
Chaco and his team were awesome. I was concerned with how many different Hol Chan tours there were online, but I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out. Tour starts on time, but do not stress if you are in the realm of 1-5 minutes late, while not ideal for timeliness, these guys are very flexible and they run on island time for sure. Only issues I saw during our tour was mainly the tourists trying to touch all the animals even with clear instruction to give them 6-10 feet. “Treat em like they got COVID, 5-10 feet away” Yet everyone wanted to touch the fish/turtles. My girlfriends snorkel was having a very minimal malfunction so I did opt to trade her snorkel for mine, but it was still function-able, just a few drops of water if you breathe in too aggressive! Overall these guys were very nice, outstandingly professional, and a joy to take a tour from. I’d absolutely recommend anyone to book through this company, and their catamaran deal (didn’t opt for it this time) seems like a great deal for those looking for a softer ride!
In Belize you can visit the zoo but this is the underwater zoo of San Pedro without bars. I saw turtles, rays, beautiful coral and colorful fish! Our guide knew the names of everything we saw. It was a wonderful experience. I will be back!
It was an amazing experience. Our guides and especially "Candyman" was very entertaining and knowledgeable and claimed to be nephew of "Aquaman" LOL!
The directions to the pick-up location were vague. Once at the address on the beach there were several outfits/docks, but no one knew the one we had scheduled. We finally called the number on the ticket and the agent on the line kept telling us the address was on the confirmation. He was VERY rude and probably did not want to get a call on his Saturday morning. We finally found the correct dock, but the trip was less than enjoyable. The two instructors onboard were very experienced and expected us to be as well, with little instruction, even though we indicated on the consent form that we were beginners. The water was SUPER turbulent and hard to snorkel in, but the nurse sharks were cool to look at. Unfortunately, I would not book this tour again.
A great experience led by our very capable snorkel guide Alday. We especially appreciated how he towed our tired 10-year-old on the safety ring for the last half of the Marine Reserve tour. The highlight for most of us, however, was Shark Ray Alley. It didn't take much energy just to swim around the boat where the sharks were being fed. We were a group of nine, ranging in age from 10 to 81, and we all enjoyed the tour very much.
Our snorkeling excursion to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley was absolutely amazing! Gabi picked our family up right from the dock at our house, which made everything so easy and convenient. From the start, he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. Swimming with the nurse sharks was an unforgettable experience—exciting, unique, and something we’ll always remember! This was a great 7 hour tour, including numerous snorkeling stops, and commentary from very experienced guides at Ridge & Reef. Lunch and shopping on Caye Caulker was also fun. Many highlights during the day, including snorkeling at the second biggest barrier reef in the world; swimming with the nurse sharks, sting rays and miscellaneous fish; seeing a real seahorse (!?!); and having a tarpon fly out of that water in a millisecond to snatch a sardine dangling from my hand. A great day!!
Everyone at Ambergris was great! Our guides were Kayson, Manny, Danny, and Choco. All were a lot of fun and did a great job of ensuring we got to see as many amazing sights at both of our stops. They also were really patient with some of the guests who had small children, as the sea was rougher than normal due to high wind speeds. The entire experience felt incredibly safe, but was still a lot of fun. Our group saw turtles, rays, huge numbers of fish, eels, and of course lots and lots of nurse sharks. I won't ding them for not being able to get a Dolphin to show up :) All in all a great experience and one I'd recommend to all different group types.

Jovani was our guide, slow paced so we could linger over the coral, he pointed out all the different corals and knew the names of over 50 fishes!! We saw sharks , turtle and different species of rays and Jovani knew the names of all of them, saw lobsters and morey eel,
Attentive, enthusiastic, and professional staff who made the venture most enjoyable. Equipment was in good order, and safety and environmental responsibility was an obvious high priority.
Enjoyed the snorkeling at Hol Chsn and shark ray alley. Abundance of sealife including dolphins and all the expected colorful stripeys. Seaturtles and so much giant sized coral! Was concerned it might rip my leg open, had to be careful meandering around it. The guides were great, no complaints. It was a bit more “Exercise” than I experienced in hawaii, as the powerful waters pull you in directions your not allowed to go, so must do some actual swimming (although you have a flotation device attached to you so completely safe). Do it you won’t regret it!
Azi was amazing!! He made the experience unforgettable from start to finish. He was very informative, helpful getting gear ready and helping everyone back on the boat. All snorkeling gear was in great condition. Definitely recommend!
This was an amazing half day experience! Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and added a great deal of humor to the excursion. One guide stuck with my 80 year old dad the entire time, making sure he had a wonderful experience while still feeling steady and safe. We saw so many varieties of sea life amid the beautiful coral reef, including nurse sharks, rays, a barracuda, a sea turtle, starfish, and more! I would highly recommend this tour!
We loved how the guides were snorkeling with us and pointing out different fish and coral! The two different sites made the experience soo worth it. The kids loved the sharks and sea turtles we saw!

Kason was the best! The reef was very active we saw so many different species of fish, nurse sharks, stingrays and a sea turtle! Kason was very knowledgeable. He was fun and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The Shark Ray Alley was a very unique experience lots of nurse sharks and sting rays. You don’t have to worry about if you will see them. The Barrier Reef snorkeling tour with Carlos is absolutely the best. He is entertaining as well as the Captain of the Catamaran tour boat. His helpers make a delicious lunch and lead the group over the beautiful Reef.
It was a windy day, but the snorkeling was great. Definitely got sprayed with water on the boat ride. There were only 5 of us. We started at the Hol Chan Marine preserve. We snorkeled for an hour. There were a lot of fish in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. We saw a sea turtle as well. We jumped back in the boat and made our way to shark alley. We snorkeling amongst rays and nurse sharks. Some of the nurse sharks were up to 12 feet. We hung out here for 45 minutes before heading back to the dock. Kason was a great guide.

The guides were focused on safety and maximum experience for our group. The ratio was about 5-6 people per guide, plus one that stayed on the boat. Our guide Danny was very knowledgeable about the fish we saw and was sure to point out anything special. We saw giant stingrays, barracudas, and a sea turtle, along with dozens of other varieties. Kayson was our main guide, and he also did a fantastic job ensuring everyone had a great time. The shark experience was really fun, we had so many sharks swimming around us. It felt really magical.
What a great experience! Tour guides were extremely friendly, professional and fun. It was my first time snorkeling and they were very helpful and supportive. We swam with sharks, fish and saw 1 sea turtle! We were also able to rent a go pro. Trip of a lifetime for sure, highly recommend!
