1-hour Guided Reef Snorkeling Adventure In San Pedro

It was just the two of us. We are over 50 and we were taken very good care of. We went at our own pace. It was an excellent experience. We meet near the San Pedro sign.

It was personal fun and professional If you dont want to spend all day.on an excursion this is perfect.

I am guilty for not writing a review yet but Matthew and Khalil were incredible to go on this excursion with! We had a quick 5 minute boat ride and did a one hour excursion— my mask wasn’t working well so they instantly got me a new one. (I ended up having to use Khalil’s) We saw an abundance of nurse sharks, fish, and corals. Very satisfied with the price and the service that these gentlemen provided. Thanks again!

Matthew and his crew mate were very accommodating, even adjusting the time so we could make it back to the ferry on time. I recommend Rise Up Expedition to anyone who doesn’t want to spend 4+ hours snorkeling.

My husband and I went on this snorkeling tour of the reef. It was absolutely amazing! We were the only ones on the tour so it was very private, which we appreciated. I’m not a great swimmer but the guide made me feel extremely safe and helped guide me through so I could focus on what was under the water! We saw sharks and sting rays, as well as many cool fish. The trip was an hour and a half, which was the perfect amount of time since we are not ones to book all day or half day adventures, so we still had time to get dinner afterwards and weren’t too tired from a day trip! All we wanted was to be taken to the reef and shown around, which was exactly what we got. Wish we had found them sooner because we definitely would have done it again on our trip to San Pedro. Highly recommend this experience, thanks guys!!!

Nice variety of fish and coral. Water not very deep. Easy enough to get back on the boat if you need to. Crew are awesome! Would definitely do again.

Awesome experience snorkeling right on the barrier reef. Matthew and Khalil were super knowledgeable about all the fish/wildlife we saw and made it a great morning. We snorkeled a few other places on half day tours during our trip, and did the one hour tour with Rise Up on our final morning. The spot they brought us too was the best of the 4 places we went. Tons of fish and cool corrals, and easy to fit into a morning instead of taking up most of the day.

Sean and Alston were incredible! We wanted to catch fish, we caught fish! We wanted to snorkel, we snorkeled! We wanted a remote island and our fish to be cookedfor us and served with amazing Belizean treats… That’s what we got! Perfect day with the family very enjoyable and no stress! My Husband and I did the 90 minute snorkeling trip on my birthday. The two young gentlemen were so patient and kind. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We saw tons of fish and a beautiful shark. What a wonderful way to celebrate my 62nd birthday. Thanks so much! We will book them again when we return.

My partner and I had a wonderful time on this snorkeling tour! I was honestly nervous going in as a pretty average swimmer, but Khalil and Matthew were such fantastic hosts and guides... they made me feel completely at ease from start to finish. The sea life we saw was absolutely beautiful, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. The tour was about an hour long, which felt just right. This was easily a huge highlight of our entire trip. Don't hesitate, just book it!

We took the 1 hour snorkeling trip to the reef. This was a perfect amount of time for this senior snorkeler. The staff was very helpful and encouraging. I would have booked additional trips with them had I of discovered them earlier in my stay. I highly recommend this new company and look forward to booking with them again next year.

OMG! It was awesome! The 2 guys taking us out were awesome. SO helpful getting my old body in and out of the boat! Great snorkeling with many colorful fish. I will do it again…and again! I’ve done many snorkel trips in Belize and this one was my favorite!

My wife and I booked the one-hour snorkeling trip and it was the perfect choice, especially for anyone who isn't entirely comfortable in open ocean water. The boat takes you to the nearest section of the Belize Barrier Reef, where the water is only waist-deep. That made the whole experience relaxing rather than stressful, and we could just focus on enjoying what was in front of us. And there was plenty to enjoy. We saw beautiful schools of small tropical fish, including sergeant majors with their bold black stripes, yellowtail snappers, blue tangs, French angelfish, and foureye butterflyfish. The reef was full of color and life even in the shallow areas. Captain Matthew deserves special mention. He was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the trip. He made sure we were comfortable and got the most out of our time on the water. If you're looking for a low-pressure introduction to snorkeling on one of the world's most famous reefs, this is the way to do it. Highly recommend Rise Up Expeditions.

This was an amazing experience with lots of tropical fish ! I’m so happy I found these guys :) I probably saw at least 20 different kinds of fish. We also saw some spotted rays

Great time! It is a short 5-minute ride to the near side of the barrier reef. CAPTAIN MATTHEW and KHALIL were incredibly friendly and helpful. Never any concerns with them, the boat, or the water activity. You are able to stand in the area where they take you, but you are there to snorkel for an hour. The water is warmer at the reef than it is nearer the shore. This is not an extravagant trip, but a great starter snorkel trip, or jjst to say that you snorkeled in Belize at the reef. No surcharges, strictly the price on the board. No suprise billing on return. My wife enjoyed it and we highly recommend it!

Matthew was amazing! He went out of his way to help my mother (75) in and out of the boat and guide her around the reef. The service was fantastic and we really enjoyed the flexibility of the one hour tour just off the beach - it didn’t take up our entire day, which was fantastic!
