Transfer Naples To Positano (Stop Pompeii Option) Or Vice Versa

Alex was a great driver. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the Naples and Amalfi area. The ride and stop at Pompeii was a great combo.

My wife and I booked a driver from the Napoli airport to our stay in Positano. This was a bit of a splurge, but when you consider 2x bus tickets, 2x train tickets, and then 2x bus or ferry tickets from Sorrento to Positano, it want that much more expensive. Also, we didnt have to lug our bags from the Positano dock all the way up to our hotel, the driver dropped us off right at the entrance. But, what is priceless is the peace of mind that you have guaranteed travel at a specific time, sitting in air conditioning, and riding with just your partner and a driver who is likely charming and knowledgeable about the area and more than happy to tell you all about it. This was the case for our drives to and from Positano. Another factor is weather. Our drive back from Positano was through a major downpour. I think ferries were canceled, and I imagine bus rides weren't fun on those cliff side roads. Our driver had us safe and knew all the alternate routes if streets were flooded/blocked. If you don't mind spending not that much more per person, I 1000% recommend using this service. Our drivers Alessandro and Giovanni were the best 🤌

We booked through Sorrento Car Drivers to get from Napoli to Positano and back. We had the pleasure of driving with Alessandro on our departure trip and Giovanni on our return trip. Both were professional, polite, and made the trip enjoyable. Alessandro pointed out local landmarks and gave us some historical data points for the area and was fun to chat with along the drive. Also, a special shout out to Giovanni, who provided safe travel for us during a downpour along the Amalfi coast. There was a flood advisory and he navigated the weather and traffic to safely get us to our destination, still under the estimated time!

Giovanni was a fantastic driver. Our transfer was really smooth and the stop in Pompeii was seamless. He even helped arrange a luggage transport once we got to Positano. That was something we didn’t even know to ask about, but was really key for where we were staying. We were so grateful for the help, and courtesy he showed throughout the whole trip. Highly recommend.

Our driver was Francesco and he was wonderful! Very communicative, arrived precisely on time. Driving was very safe and pleasant. He shared history about the area. We opted to stop at Pompeii on our way to Positano and it was so interesting to visit. We also opted to use this same company for our return service to the airport. I wish we had the same driver because it was definitely not as great on the way back.

Pick up was so smooth and right on time. Communication with office was great prior to pick up. Bruno is a great driver and shared with us great information during our trip from Naples to Positano with a stop in Pompeii.

Very easy transportation. The company was in contact with us to confirm the day before our trip and gave clear instructions on where to meet. The driver was timely and polite and we felt safe. Cars had A/C and we slept like babies.

We have been traveling all thru Italy for the last 2 weeks, and this was easily the most seamless transportation experience we’ve had so far! He met us right on the train platform, and was so knowledgeable on the different sites along the drive. He even stopped to take our picture at the most iconic viewpoint of Positano! Great transfer service. Promptly picked up from Naples train station and driven to our Villa in Positano. Our driver was friendly, efficient and manured the roads well.

Francesco was the perfect driver. He picked us up from the Naples Central train station. Drove us to Pompei (on our way to Positano) where we’d booked a two hour tour. Francesco waited with bags and kept Mercedes van cool while we toured. When done, he whisked us to Positano, arranging for Porters to bring our luggage to our hotel, Hotel Buca de Bocco. It’s fantastic and I recommend getting Porter service. 10 euros per bag, and it will be best money spent as Positano is a vertical town built on the side of a cliff. Francesco is from this area and explained the layout of the town and gave some recommendations for gelato and restaurants. The ride was perfect, exactly what you’ll want. Fast, cool, in a big Mercedes van with lots of room, with a great and knowledgeable driver!

I would highly recommend using if you need a private journey back or to Positano with want by to make a stop at either Pompei or Herculaneum. We were planning to stop at the Pompei sit however there was disruption as the pope was making an appearance. They were helpful and suggested an alternative to visit Herculaneum that offers equally a great experience. Communication was clear and the driver was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Communication was top notch from initial inquiries right through pick up. Our driver Francesco was personable, timely and provided helpful tips along the way. Although 2 hours in a Pompeii is not nearly enough (this was our choice) it was a great way to get a glimpse of the ruins on way from Naples to Sorrento. Wow! We were so impressed with our experience with Antonella and Giovanni with Sorrento Car Drivers. Antonella was helpful in the booking details, ensuring we had a fun and efficient transfer scheduled from Naples, through Sorrento, to Positano. We were so happy with her communication, we went ahead and booked a transfer back from Positano to Naples with a stop at a winery! Giovanni was our driver our first transfer, and he was such a sweet, friendly, and helpful person, we hoped we would have him for our second transfer. He drove safely, provided us information about the areas, and had a great photo stopping point. The stars aligned and he drove us our second time too! The vehicles were clean and spacious in both transfers. Sorrento Car Drivers made difficult transfers easy with door to door pick up and excellent service. We would 100% book them again.

We were being picked up by private car at the Naples train station. Francesco was our driver. He was amazing, he even helped us by going back in the train station when my daughter lost her purse. He talked to the train company in Italian and was able to help us get the purse and passport inside back. Without him I’m sure we wouldn’t have gotten it back so timely.
