Sorrento: Make Pasta And Tiramisu With A Local By Cesarine

Best experience we had in Italy, having a genuine authentic experience cooking in a local signora’s kitchen. It was just the two of us, after Marilena kindly picked us up from Sorrento, we learnt how to make eggplant parmigiana, ravioli & tiramisu. So relaxed and friendly. We were in Mary’s home with her Mum and later, her father, son and husband joined us and we talked and ate what we cooked in their family home. What a privilege! More than a cooking class, an immersive experience in local Italian culture. We could not be more thankful to Mary and her whole family to welcoming us into their home like we were family. The class set up and view was very nice and well equipped. The family hosting the class were super nice and knowledgeable. The actual class was relaxing, and well taught. They took pictures 9f us through out the stages for our memories that they sent after class, as well as all the recipes of the 2 pastas and tiramisu that we made. Best tiramisu i ever had and the pastas we made was very flavorful. Sitting down with my family and enjoying our work 9ver wine was so memorable. This is a class I highly recommend for a special Italian memory with family or friends.

Laura and her family received in their home, where we learned to make two different kinds of pasta (in various shapes), and tiramisù. It was a incredible experience, 100% worth it, that absolutely made the trip. Everyone was very nice and made us feel very welcome, their home is lovely, and the food tasted delicious.

Marilena welcomed us into her home with large airy kitchen to prepare meal. It was a hands-on educational experience, making two different pastas plus her family tiramisu recipe. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

My sister and I had a truly wonderful and memorable experience in Sorrento. We made two types of pasta and a tiramisu in the class. Then enjoyed food with Christina's family. I can honestly say it was the best ravioli and tiramisu I have ever had in my life! I can see how hospitable and friendly the people of Sorrento are from this experience.

We had an amazing experience with Alessandra. From start to finish it was one of the best experiences we have done. She brought us to her home and we had an intimate cooking demonstration tailored to our preferences. She kept us entertained and with drinks topped up! I would come again and highly recommend! She was so pleasant and provided us with information for must see places around Sorrento and Naples. We were given great detail about making pasta and the importance of its preparation.

This was absolutely the most wonderful experience! Marilena is a wealth of information, has a beautiful kitchen/setting for the class, the food was delicious and by the end of the class we felt more like family than visitors! It was a great learning experience with step by step help, so very much laughter, many pictures and memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. This was truly an authentic Italian cooking experience!

On arrival greeted by Clara and taken to her beautiful home, was shown were everything was, We loved our day first making tiramisu was shown by clara, then we made ours then a rest in the lovely seating area with wine and nibbles. Then pasta ravioli and gnocchi Shown then our turn it was fun but it was all light hearted then Clara cooked it and we sat at table and tried both our pastas Clara made sauces to go with it it was lovely and then tiramisu which was brought through it wasu birthday the put a sign in and sang to me her niece came to help tidy between courses and wash up which was lovely we chatted about families and was given a limonchello to finish with we came away very full but loved every minute of it and such a lovely host and to be taken to a lovely place we would recommend to everyone Thank you to you both for a lovely birthday xx

The most authentic experience we had during our time on the Amalfi Coast. The Scenery, food, people, everything! Loved it!

This cooking class was the absolute highlight of our trip!! It was more than just learning how to cook it was a warm, welcoming, and truly authentic experience. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere felt like being part of a local family. We laughed, learned, and shared a meal we helped prepare ourselves, something we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a special, heartfelt activity to remember your trip by, this is it. Highly recommended!

Our cooking experience with Rachele and her wonderful family was the highlight of our trip to Italy. We have two boys- 8 and 11- and she, along with her 19 year old son, Andrea (who spoke great English and was so sweet to the boys) and other family members made us feel very welcome and included our boys in the cooking process every step of the way. The views in the Sorrento hills were incredible, they had the sweetest dogs for the kids to play with, and the food was some of the best we had during our trip to Italy. They went above and beyond for us, and we definitely will be doing this again when we return! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time with Alessandra today! She’s a fabulous host who welcomed us into her lovely home high in the hills like we were old friends before giving us a tour of her wonderful garden in which she grows almost all the ingredients for the delicious meal herself. We are not great cooks but she patiently and with great humour taught us how to prepare delicious spaghetti, ravioli, tomato sauce and tiramisu. We then enjoyed eating everything we’d made with a glass of her homemade Merlot and homemade limoncello while taking in the fantastic views of Vesuvius and the bay far below us. Alessandra took lots of photo’s while we were with her which she forwarded to us along with all the recipes before we left. She was kind enough to collect us from our hotel as she’d been shopping nearby and took us back to our hotel so we could admire the stunning views from both sides of the mountain. She got in touch with us prior to the experience via WhatsApp to check our dietary requirements and travel arrangements and communication during the experience was very easy with help from her translation device. Our time with Alessandra was the highlight of our trip and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this experience with her. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying it!

Definitely recommend this cooking class. The instructor was amazing, personable, and taught us so much. Really enjoyed learning how to cook authentic Italian cuisine!

We had an excellent experience. From the moment we booked, she was incredibly helpful and responsive. Once we arrived she was so accommodating. The experience (and food) was phenomenal. It was everything I had hoped for.

This experience was not at all what we expected. First of all we never received the directions to the location where the event was taking place. We waited where the app showed us. The host finally called and we made our way to the location. The hostess did not speak English and her son translated. They were both very nice but our expectation was we would make two types of pasta. We made gnocchi but the second dish was made with store bought pasta. We were very disappointed.

This cooking class was an absolute blast! Alessandra and her family made us feel right at home and the location was amazing!. We made gnocci with tomato sauce and tagliatelle, and the best tiramisu ever, all while sipping wine and and ejoying aperitivo. The cooking was hands-on, and they explained everything so well. Highly recommend and we cannot wait to recreate what we learned at home!

So so so so much fun!! I can’t recommend this class enough. It was a mother and son teaching us, the mother cooked, the son helped and translated. We cooked in their apartment it was very well decorated and welcoming. We started with appetizers and wine, then prepped our tiramisu to chill and cooked our first pasta dish. After we ate our first dish, we cooked our second dish and ate that too! All the while the wine was flowing. We finished our meal with our tiramisu and homemade limoncello. Our group was only my mother and I with one other person. The cooking was very hands on and they explained all the ingredients and the reasoning for the ingredients, for example: the sauce had no garlic in it, but was honestly the best red sauce I’ve ever had because of the fresh garden ingredients and the love put in the recipe! Again, I couldn’t recommend the class enough, our hosts were so so welcoming and it was genuine Italian home cooking. They also gave us the recipes at the end and took lots of pictures during the whole process. The only thing is the place was a little hard to find since it was just our host’s regular apartment but they were able to flag us down from the balcony and lead us into the apartment. Please, please, please, take this class it felt so personal and fun! We experienced true local Sorrento food!! No experience was necessary if you love Italian food and wine take this class!!

Mama Laura and Nikola were wonderful hosts and gave us the warmest welcome into their family home. We started the experience with delicious antipasti and wine while listening to a classy playlist. Then the magic began! We began the cooking lesson by learning how to make the best Tiramisu we’ve had in our lives, then learned how to cook fresh gnocchi with a tomato base. Lastly we learned how to cook dry pasta and got to make the Pasta e Patate Provolona AKA 5P! (Pasta, Potatoes, Pork Belly, Provolona, and Peppers). Everything was so delicious and we enjoyed every minute of the experience. Laura, once again thank you so much for your warm welcome and sharing your family secret recipes! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento!

We had a wonderful experience cooking with Laura and her daughter and it truly surpassed all of my expectations. We were welcomed into their home and given appetizers and wine on the beautiful balcony before we got started with the experience. When the cooking began, we were given detailed instructions and explanations. We had so much fun creating the different dishes and they were so kind to send us the recipes after so we can recreate on our own. The foot itself was easily the best pasta I’ve had in my stay in Sorrento and there was so much food. We couldn’t possibly finish it all but we were given a box to take home for the next day! I highly recommend this experience it was the highlight of our trip!

I had such a lovely experience with Laura and Ettore. The class took place in their home with Ettore doing most of the translating and also adding his own points and conversation. I expected there to be other attendees since the title of the class was “small group class” but I guess I was the only person signed up for that time slot so it was just me. Something to check on if you’re hoping for a group experience but either way I still highly recommend the class! Come hungry :)

We expected a lot and this experience over-delivered! My entire family loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat! The content was fun, the expertise was top-notch, the food was delicious and the environment was breathtaking, as if from a movie. Just a fantastic experience all around.

Rubina and Alessandra were just wonderful, gracious guest. Pay the extra money for them to pick you up at your hotel, it allows time to get to know them first. Upon arriving at Alessandra'a home you are taken to a balcony with breathtaking views. After some Prosecco and appetizers we started our course. They both made us feel very comfortable. It didn't feel like a class, more like friends being together. But, we learned so much. So many little techniques. (We like to cook and eat!). We made Bruschetta, Ravioli (and even a fried Ravioli), Gnocchi And tiramisu. They follow up the class with pictures, videos and recipes. But it's the techniques you learn and the memories that make the class worth it I highly recommend booking with Alessandra.

Martina was such a gracious host! My husband and I took her class and it was the highlight of our trip to Sorrento. Her beautiful family farm is surrounded by lemon groves and has a spectacular view of Sorrento. She taught us how to make pasta and tiramisu. It was the best meal we had in Italy! I highly recommend her class!!

Alessia provided a wonderful experience. The food, atmosphere, and her hospitality exceed everything we’d hoped for. As an added bonus, the home and surrounding land were absolutely beautiful . The gardens were impressive, and we were lucky enough to have the privilege to cook with fresh produce grown on site. Would definitely do again!

Alessandra's class was amazing! The food, the house, the Tiramisu ! Yum ! Yum! It was a combination of her hospitality, the quality of the food and her place. I have taken two other classes while in Sorrento. However, this was my best time! Alessandra and her family make anyone feel at home! What a great night. Everything we were hoping for in a cooking class and more. Such a great and welcoming host opening up her house to us and treating us like family. We now can’t wait to practice what we’ve learnt at home. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect cooking class.

Absolutely amazing, such a warm and beautiful house and Emily our guide was brilliant from start to finish and to conclude the food preparing, gardening and cooking - we sat down to a wonderful 3 course meal with stunning views over Montepertuso. Could not recommend this tour enough!
