Christian was an excellent guide, we loved learning about the local history, how the olives are harvested and the best part, the tasting! We would highly recommend this farm tour!

Itinerary
We will pick you up at the hotel or in the center of Sorrento, and in ten minutes you will leave the traffic of Sorrento for the hills where our family has been growing lemons and olives for seven generations. Christian will welcome you and will act as your guide, like a host. We walk among the lemon groves under traditional pergolas and among ancient olive trees. We show you how the Sorrento lemon is hand-picked, how the extra virgin olive oil is born, and what makes homemade limoncello different from store-bought. Along the way you will greet our animals, enter a small 15th-century church with a Byzantine fresco, and stop in front of an ancient stone olive mill: try to guess how old it is. Almost no one succeeds. From October to January, you will also see the nets stretched under the olive trees for the olive harvest. The visit concludes at the farmhouse, with a tasting of country bread with organic lemon, orange, and mandarin jams, classic and flavored extra virgin olive oils, limoncello, and house liqueurs. Everything takes place in a familiar and authentic environment. No rush, no crowds: just countryside, silence, and the taste of this land.

We had a brilliant couple of hours with Christian. The farm tour was really good - we didn’t time it well for the lemons (October isn’t lemon season) but was still a great tour, and wonderful to see the history of the farm and the relationship the family have had with the land for so many generations. Christian was a great tour guide, engaged so well with our three kids and with the adults on the tour as well; enjoyed his sense of humour too! All the family who were involved made us feel so welcome. The produce we were able to taste was exceptional, even better because we could see the care that was taken in producing it all! And very good value too. In all, it was a morning very very well spent!
This lemon tour was such an amazing and unique experience! 🍋 We loved getting to visit a family-owned farm and have one of the sons personally guide us through their beautiful property. We learned so much about not only lemons, but also olives and the care and tradition that go into growing and preparing everything. The best part was getting to use all of our senses throughout the experience — smelling, touching, tasting, and truly experiencing everything the farm had to offer. Everything felt so authentic, personal, and thoughtfully shared. You could tell how much pride and love this family has for their farm and their traditions. It was such a memorable way to experience the culture of the Amalfi Coast, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting! 🍋💛
Amazing half day tasting tour of a working olive and lemon farm in Sorrento. Our host Christian was knowledgeable and passionate about his families work and shared stories about his ancestors. Highly recommend getting the lunch where you can watch Christian make homemade mozzarella cheese and eat a delicious meal. Sampling the various selections of limoncello was also a highlight!
Great authentic experience with Christian, he was very knowledgeable and a fun tour of his family's farm. The tasting was excellent and I highly recommend paying extra for the lunch which is all produce off the farm and was fantastic. Overall a fab tour
This tour is a gem. We enjoyed the tour and lunch. It had the best limoncello we have had in Italy. It was the perfect way to spend the morning. Highly recommend
We had a lovely experience. We added on the lunch as a last minute decision which was totally worth it. So much passion for a 7 generation family business. No pressure and very authentic. Thank you so much
5 stars because the food is amazing, these ppl work hard/are flexible with pick up, and a private tour is the way to go. I would give less for the value of the tour as it was short and I feel that we should’ve had more to eat. That can be solved by booking direct which I would recommend!
We had a lovely trip to this family run farm. Christian was our guide for our trip and it was so interesting to listen all about his family history and how the olive and lemon trees were looked after and farmed. We also had the most delicious lunch all made by the family and produced on site. It was a very special trip which we would highly recommend Thank you Christian
Christian was charming sharing his family gardens and business. This was a wonderful way to see a family run garden & groves for generations. I recommend checking this tour out if you want to see authentic Italy. It is a very short drive from downtown Sorrento with pick up available.
Great experience involving the growing of and production of Lemons and olives . Christian our host was so informative and gave us a very interesting tour about the history of his family business which stretches back over several generations. He was such a kind and thoughtful young man who was well knowledged in the production of different kinds of Limoncello and different varieties of Olive oil. We had sample tastings of everything and there was a great souvenir shop at the end of our tour. This was the last day of our Honeymoon and it really did end on a high note. Thanks again, Chris and Nicola.
Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) have a great time on this farm tour, learning more about how olives and lemons are grown. And of course, getting to sample the different olive oils, jams, spreads, and liqueurs was wonderful. We'd highly recommend this tour.
A very engaging tour with a really interesting and friendly member of the family who run the farm. Food was excellent.
The views from the farm were absolutely incredible! We loved learning about Sorrento’s rich agricultural history, and the guide's passion really shone through. It’s an ideal stop for worldschooling families—engaging and packed with great learning moments without being so long that kids lose interest. After the tasting of the most wonderful lemoncello varieties, olive oil, and spreads there is a wonderful shop to buy any of the things you sampled and other souvenirs without being continuously bothered like in the tourist shops.
One of our highlights of our visit to Sorrento. Christian and his family were so gracious and helpful during our tour and we learned a lot about their farm - 7 generations! Would highly recommend to family and friends!
Do this experience! This was the best tour we have done! It was hands in cooking, learning about the process of making cheese, a grand tour of the farm. The sample plate was delicious, sampling of the wines, limoncello etc there were a lot was the best. If you want a tour that is Personel and you feel like the tour guide is family this is for you! My 4 children adult to 12 years old want to do this a second day. We will Definitely being booking this when we come again. Great people, great food, great views I give this the highest recommendation and then some.
Christian did a phenomenal job and even gave us a private tour of his family's farm and explained the process they go through to make their products! I would recommend this if you're ever in Sorrento!
We loved our morning at this adorable family farm. Christian, our guide and a member of the 7th generation of custodians of this remarkable property, gave us a wonderful tour of the beautiful groves, sharing fascinating facts about olives and lemons. You'll see the ancient olive crusher, learn secrets about Sorrento, and also be moved by the church next door and the family's longtime connection to it. Afterwards, you'll get to taste and buy the distinctive and delicious products made right on the grounds.
Great experience! Cristiano was a great guide and host. Very interesting information about their 7th generation family farm. Lunch was incredible, so fresh and delicious. Really great olive, lemon, and orange items to taste, we’re taking home a lot! Wonderful relaxing activity close to Sorrento.
The outing to this self sustaining organic ecological farm was one of the highlights of our trip! Christian and his family run an incredibly efficient farm with unique high growing olive trees and beautiful low growing lemon trees. We were fully immersed in the daily life, enjoying all the fruits of the family labor. Incredibly Informative, delicious tastings, true extra virgin olive oil,we made fresh mozzarella and so much more. They picked us up and dropped us off back at Piazza Tasso. Grazie Mille!!!
Good informative tour with Christian knowing about lemons and olives visiting through the farm and trees. We tasted multiple farm products like Lemoncello, spreads and other drinks and bought some
Excellent tour. Christian has a passion for his family business and I well versed in lemon and olive culture in Sorrento. A must see tour.
Cristian our tour guide is young but so knowledgeable, kind made sure we were safe during our journey through the lemon gardens! This is great for seniors! The farm is family owned and operated by a multigenerational family which is so cool!!! Taste testing was awesome! Loved the samples and bought multiple different treats to bring home. Wish he was in my home town in Florida!
Amazing experience, Christian and his family have a paradise just outside of Sorrento! We learnt so much, and got to taste an amazing assortment of homemade products. Would highly recommend to anyone. I wish we weren't leaving today so we could have supper at the farm restaurant! The prices in the shop were also extremely fair for such high quality product. 10/10!
Our private “Discover Sorrento through Lemons and Olive Trees” tour was truly one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Italy. My wife, daughter, and I spent time with our guide, Christian, and from the very beginning it felt far more personal than a typical tour. It felt like being welcomed into a family tradition and way of life that has been lovingly preserved for generations. Christian and his family own a beautiful farm nestled in the hills of Sorrento that has been in their family for more than seven generations. The property is not only a working farm filled with lemon and olive trees, but also home to a wonderful restaurant that serves many of the products grown and produced right there on the land. Christian was knowledgeable, kind, personable, and extremely well spoken. He shared fascinating stories about the history of the farm, the products they create, and the history and culture of Sorrento itself. You could immediately feel the pride and passion he has for his family, their land, and their traditions. As someone who grows a few citrus trees back home in Arizona, I especially appreciated the advice and tips Christian shared with me about improving the health and growth of my own trees. That personal touch made the experience even more meaningful. One of the best parts of the tour was tasting the many homemade products produced on the farm. Everything was incredibly fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Every detail reflected the care and dedication that this family puts into what they do. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was the kindness and generosity Christian showed throughout the day. He treated us more like family guests than tourists, and that warmth made a lasting impression on all of us. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sorrento who wants an authentic, personal, and memorable experience away from the usual tourist attractions. It was a beautiful experience that we will remember for many years to come. Thank you, Christian for a great experience!
Christian is so knowledgeable, engaging, and welcoming. The private tour is not to be missed. The history, family story, and of course the oils and lemon products all delicious.
This tour was nothing short of amazing! It was the highlight of our 2-week trip across Italy. Christian was very knowledgeable and proud of his family’s farm and what they produce. It was amazing to hear the history behind it all and get to see it first hand. We stayed for lunch after the tour and tastings and had a delicious antipasto with homemade cheeses. They treated us like family. We will never forget this experience.
Hidden gem family farm for seven generations in the lush hills 10 minutes outside of the main downtown of Sorrento. Our generous host and guide Christian was wonderful and the tour was an unforgettable experience for the senses. Tasting included so much, not only limoncello but olive oil, jams spreads, and other surprises like tasty unusual liqueurs all made right there. Saw mozzarella being made by hand. All products reasonably priced and we happily purchased quite a bit. Left with hugs and feeling like family.
If you want to learn more about the growth of olive and lemon trees, learn a little about the history of Sorrento and taste some truly delicious products, this is a tour you must book. Christian and his family are so warm and welcoming, and he has such a passion for what he's doing. He speaks several languages and was even able to understand some German, which was really helpful when trying to communicate. We felt right at home and really enjoyed spending time there. It's a beautiful location and everything we tried after the tour was amazing. The products are lovingly handcrafted by him and his family, and we took several home with us. We hope more people can have this wonderful experience! Greetings from Germany :)
We had the best visit to Le Colline de Sorrento. Christian guided us through his family’s farm and shared with us stories about the history of their farm and the processes they use to harvest the olives and lemons. We learned a ton about the land, climate and culture. We were blown away that this farm has been in the family for around 300 years. Christian was kind, and funny. At the end of the tour you get to taste the products his family makes. I had questions about the pickup and Christian was a very responsive host. He gave clear instructions for where to meet. We were so grateful for the pickup so we didn’t have to coordinate getting up to the farm. Overall, our group walked away saying this was on of our favorite things we did on our trip to Sorrento. I would 100% recommend anyone visiting to spend some time doing this farm tour.
This tour was one of our favorite experiences during our time in Sorrento. It gave us an authentic taste of a real family farm and we learned so much about all of the crops and production of the olive oil and liquors. Everything we tried was so delicious and we’re glad we bought a few things to take home. Christian is a wonderful guide and we had so much fun learning from him!
This was a highlight of our stay in Sorrento! Christian was an amazing tour guide and you could feel his passion and pride for his family farm and business. We got a brief background on the history of Sorrento (including secrests you dont hear elsewhere) then walked around the lemon and olive tree farm while hearing about the manual processes they used to cultivate the lemons and olive trees. It was the perfect short trip and felt like we were doing something special and not touristy. The quality of farm and warmth of the family is no doubt why they have been in business for many generations!
What a fantastic tour. The land is beautiful and the olive oil and limoncello is wonderful. We filled up a suitcase for the trip home!
Wonderful very interesting how a 7 generation family runs this lemon, olive oil and many other products
This was a great tour of a lemon grove. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. It’s very convenient that they pick you up right at your location and bring you Back as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
This was such a pleasant tour. Christian's love for his family farm shows through in every word. We learned tons about olive and lemon trees and harvesting, saw an ancient olive press, and got to sample some most excellent jellies and liquours. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time with Christian on his family's farm!! He was very knowledgeable and my husband and I thought it was very interesting. We ended our tour with Limoncello and olive oil tasting. We brought back many nice things we shared with our family for Christmas. I highly recommend this tour!!
Our visit to this family farm was so wonderful and personalized to our interests. The farm was beautiful and just a few minutes from the center of town. We learned so much about the history of the farm (7+ generation) and the agriculture in Sorrento/Almafi Coast. We tried items that were grown and produced onsite. We were also given the chance to purchase some to take home. If you are up for it, you can even add lunch to the visit so you can try the family restaurant that looked rather delicious. The tour included a personalized pick up and drop off which was super helpful as we went on the tour our last day in Sorrento and had our luggage with us. We highly recommend this experience while in Sorrento-you won’t be disappointed!!
This was one of the most authentic and memorable experiences of our trip. The private tour of his farm felt personal, relaxed, and deeply rooted in local culture rather than anything staged or touristy. He took the time to explain the traditions behind producing limoncello and olive oil, sharing stories about the land, the trees, and the family history that made everything feel meaningful and real. Nothing felt rushed or commercial. Walking through the farm and learning directly from someone who truly lives this craft gave us a genuine connection to the place. Ending the visit with tastings of the limoncello and olive oils was the perfect touch—simple, generous, and delicious. If you’re looking for an experience that goes beyond sightseeing and offers real cultural insight, this is absolutely worth it. A true highlight that we’ll remember long after the trip. Thank you Christian!
Plan for an authentic experience with a family member of this multi generational farm just 10 minutes from the center of Sorrento. We first had a tour of the farm and leaned all about the history of the farm and the family who has farmed this land for many generations. The young man who toured us was kind, friendly, informative and obviously knew his trade. Wear proper shoes to walk around the gently sloping grounds. Wear learned so much. This is not a ‘fancy’ lemon tour but an authentic farm experience. Their products we tasted were delicious and there is store there to purchase if you like-leave some room in your bag to take some home. There’s also a restaurant there but we didn’t he t a chance to enjoy.
Beautiful private tour. I loved learning about the history of the farm and family. The lemon and olive production was explained very well and the processes for make oil and lemoncello was fun to learn before getting to try all of the goods. Come with an empty luggage so you can take home all of there goodies.
Our guide Christian was so knowledgeable about not only his family’s farm and business, but also about the history of Sorrento. We started by exploring his family’s olive trees, then moved on to learning about the lemon trees, different orange trees, and even got to see his family’s livestock! He showed us the history of his family’s olive oil production and and told us about how they use all parts of the various plants that they grow. We finished off our tour with the trying the various olive oils, fruit preserves, and liquors that his family produces. Wonderful to learn about not only the history of Sorrento but also his family’s place in it like so many others!
This was a highlight of our Sorrento stay! Our family of 4 (2 grown sons and parents) were picked up and transferred to the farm by none other than Christian (our guide) a grandson working and preserving this family legacy. We toured the Olive and lemon grove, learned about harvesting, the history of the trees, saw the original Olive press, experienced the lovely church with its frescos and paintings on site, and finished with a delightful taste test of all their family made products. Our favorites? We each came away with multiple purchases!! Christian was wonderful, knowledgeable, patient with our questions, and passionate about preserving their Sorrento farming way of life. Don’t miss this opportunity! You will not be disappointed!!!
This was an absolute treat! The tour was excellent and truly unique. We loved learning how the family has cultivated and harvested lemon and olive trees for generations, and how much devotion and hard work they’ve invested over the years. Christopher, our guide, was incredibly passionate as he shared the story of how his family began producing olive oil in the 18th century and later expanded into lemons. He explained how they contributed to the local community, how traditions were formed, and how the family business has evolved into what it is today. We absolutely loved this tour!
The Le Colline di Sorrento farm has been in this family for seven generations. The 20 yr old son of the owner, Christian, gave us a very fascinating tour. We learned they grow the olive trees very tall to grow the lemons in their shade. This allows the lemons to grow slower producing a more flavorful and better lemon. Some of the olive trees are 200 yrs old. Everything on the farm is picked by hand and all organic. He showed us the old olive press that was built in 1775 and used mules to turn the wheel. There was an old active church on the property that the family continues to help support. The tour was concluded with a tasting of olive oils, marmalades, limoncellos, walnut liqueur, and creamcellos. We purchased so much we had to buy an extra suitcase to bring everything home from this trip.
Christian treated us like family and explained everything involved in the farm. His family prepared beautiful tastings. It was a wonderful day filled with kindness and so welcoming.
Very sweet experience in a smallish lemon grove that’s been in the family for 7 generations. The view was great, the family members provided door to door car service, we learned a lot and opted to have lunch there too, made by mom and auntie. Really nice way to spend a morning.
family owned and operated farm. they grow lemon, olives , vegetables and grapes. they process their own olive oil and lemon chello
Our guide Christian was very personable and knowledgable of the farm operations. We enjoyed walking through the family farm and learning how and why things happen in the growing of lemons and olives. We enjoyed the fact that there was just the two of us on the private tour. We enjoyed the full sampling of olive oils, marmalades, spreads and liqueurs. Prices in the gift shop were reasonable, we appreciated that everything was wrapped for Travel. Christian picked us up in place convenient to our hotel and was willing to drop us wherever we wanted.
Informal tour of local family-run farm by family member, Christian, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the work done on the lemon and olive tree farm. Also many other plants grown too. Lovely tasting session after the tour and able to buy their products.
