Sorrento Tour: Lemon Garden, Mozzarella Show With Ape Ride

Tremendous experience with cheese making, pizza, olive oil and riding APE car. So much fun and educational.

A well organised, but fantastically relaxed, trip. We found out all about lemons incl tasters, how to make mozzarella with multiple tastings of cheese, wine, olive oils and limoncello. The ride on the “ferrari” was unlike anything we’ll ever do! Highly recommend,

Fantastic morning spent with a family who are passionate about their beautiful part of the world and their families history in helping develop it. The tour through the lemon grove, lemonade tasting and then the unexpected ride up the hill through the narrow lanes on the little red buggy to watch the cheese making was a highlight of our stay in Sorrento. The passion of the gentleman making the cheese and his tips on having a happy family will stay with us for a long time. This tour is a must do while visiting Sorrento.

Excellent experience! A small town adventure full of cultural history and genuine regional food production. An intimate stroll starting at the heart of the Italian culture, the church, through the original gardens, an adventure on the “Ferrari” through the tight windy roads, and finally to an open air kitchen . Learning information about graphing lemons to making lemon cello and different kinds of cheeses. Samplings of wine, Limoncello, and many of the cheeses produced right before your eyes. Family, together, and simple! Highly recommended!

Absolute must! Family was so enjoyable to spend the day with. The tour was educational mixed with lots of interaction and fun. All of the tastings were delicious.

This was the most wonderful experiences we’ve had in Italy. Elsa and her family lemon farm and village are not to be missed. From the olive oil, cheese and limoncello tastings to the pizza making. This will be an experience worth every single penny.

This was a fabulous tour. Great experience and the people were exceptional. Learned what it takes to create a tree that produces lemons. Also got to make our own pizza. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had an absolutely lovely time. Bernardo is passionate about his farm and we appreciated the history of their farm, the lemon groves were beautiful. The olive oil, cheese and cheese making were so delicious. The pizza at the end really helped finish our day off! Thank you! We recommend this outing highly!

Very informative. Fun experience, everyone at the farm was very personable and we learned about making mozzarella cheese, lemon growing, and had a fun ride on the tuk tuk. Definitely suggest this tour as part of your Sprrento travels.

We had the best time! The properties that you visit are beautiful. You are treated like family from the moment you arrive. We learned a lot about the farm life here and the hard work put into the foods and oils you taste. Come hungry!!

The whole experience was wonderful. All involved were super nice and very informative about the makings of limoncello, olive oils and mozzarella. Tastings of all. The flavors of the olive oils were so fresh and tasty proven by all the bottles I bought! Ended with make your own pizza made with their own sauce and cheese. After all the tastings I was already full but the pizza was too good to pass up! Highly recommend.

The location, the process, the farm, transport through the hills, all a wonderful immersion into a family business since 1950. Great tour. Highest quality products.

Loved this small family owned farm small farm. We learned a lot, and turkey enjoyed everything. It’s a more personal tour, rather than a huge lemon production farm. You can really tell the love and effort they put into their products. The mozzarella making and olive oil tasting were great. Got to eat the world’s freshest mozzarella. Of course, the lemoncillo was divine. The Ape ride was so much fun, don’t be scared :). There are very well trained working animals on the farm, the dog was so sweet and even made sure we made it safe to the bathroom when we left the main group. The family cats are well taken care of and are super friendly. If you come in from the ferry, give yourself ample time to hike up to the meeting spot, like 45+ min.

This was the highlight of our trip . We had an amazing time and they were all so welcoming . We didn’t opt to do the pizza making at the end but we wish we had booked it when we left as we really enjoyed the trip . I would highly recommend .

We cannot recommend enough this tour. We had a wonderful, entertaining, delicious and very interesting time with Benedetto, Elsa and the entire family and crew in Schiazzano and Massa Lubrense. From the moment of our arrival from Sorrento, we were made to feel welcome. Touring the lemon gardens and learning how they grow such amazing fruit, which then is used to produce the most delicious limoncello, delicious olive oils of various flavors and, oh my, the most amazing mozzarella and ricotta cheese, which they made and shared before our eyes. And as if the cheeses, olive oils, wine and limoncello were not enough, we then went to the family restaurant and made the most delicious pizzas, all with ingredients from the farm. This tour was by far our favorite during our trip to the Amalfi coast and I may just go back to help Benedetto with the Olive harvest later this year.
