Shore Excursion To The Amalfi Coast

We had a total of 3 bookings all within a 4 day period. This trip was our second booking and as promised by Salvatore the minor issue was resolved from the first booking and we were offered a lovely bottle of chilled Prosecco. Once again we were picked up promptly by Salvatore from Sorrento and Salvatore accommodated us every step of the way guiding us to Ravello, Amalfi and finally Positano. He gave us some insights along the way and helped bring our bags into the hotel lobby at our final stop. Once again a very comfortable and safe ride. Also thank you Salvatore for guiding us safely along the scenic coastal road of the Amalfi coast and getting us safely to our final destination.

WOW! What a beautiful day exploring the Amalfi coast! We had the best time and the limo was outstanding! Our driver paid attention to every detail! He recommended the best place for lunch and took us to a bakery that was one of the best we have ever visited. From start to finish the day was a 10/10.

Our experiences with DVL for this tour, as well as for the Taste of Amalfi tour, were outstanding. Our driver, Matteo, was professional in every way and his knowledge of the area & recommendations added insight to our travels. Most of all, he confidently and safely navigated unbelievably narrow streets and insane traffic. My only comment would be the online descriptions of our tours, which didn't directly address the additional costs of the daily events that were described in our tours, such as the lemon groves, winery, etc. We assumed that they were part of the day tour, but we should have examined the fine print!

When I was initially looking into options of booking a driver from Rome to The Amalfi Coast, I stumbled upon the Dole Vita website. From my initial interaction with Marco until we arrived at the airport to leave Italy, Marco was immediately responsive -at any hour I would I contact him. He planned the perfect tour and provided an English speaking driver which helped put me at ease. Knowing I did not have to worry about navigating, having to translate on my own and that I knew we would have the same company to travel back to the airport relived unnecessary pressure which should be anyone’s experience while on vacation! Marco helped make the most out of our one day of the Amalfi Coast- we were able to see Pompeii , eat in Positano and even had an opportunity to have pizza in Naples. Everything worked out perfectly thanks to Marco’s assistance with planning and prompt and efficient communication!

We had the most amazing time! Manuel was absolutely the best! We cannot say enough about how wonderful he was! The Amalfi Coast is the most magical place. We saw stunning beauty around every corner. Manuel drove us from our Cruise Port through coastal towns, stopping at several picturesque stops for us to explore and shop. The Mercedes Van was extremely comfortable, nicely air-conditioned, and with Prosecco on board!! He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the history and cities along the coast and brought us to the nicest areas. The lunch he arranged for us was hands down the best seafood and pasta we have ever had, with a gorgeous view from our table. THE BEST!!!! This was our absolute favorite part of the trip! Marco was an excellent tour guide and went above and beyond to make sure our tour was one of the best days we had on the Amalfi coast. I asked him to not give us a regular tour but come up with different interesting things to do. Our 4 hour tour ended up being an 10 hour tour. We saw Amalfi, Positano and the whole coast line up to Ravello. He made special arrangements with a local winery and got us a tour of the winery as well as having a traditional Italian lunch cooked by 3 awesome women. The winery was Tenuta San Francesco Winery in Tramonti. We had a different bottle of wine with every course and it was just an amazing experience. The wine was so good I ended up buying 8 cases of their wine and had it sent back home. Marco also stopped and got us a mini tour of a Ceramics factory near Amalfi. My wife was beside herself with all the ceramics that were on display. It was just an awesome day. I cannot say enough good things about that day. When we go back we are going to call Marco and make sure he is a big part of our trip.

My husband and I recently traveled to Italy with another couple. We hired Dolce Vita to transport us from Rome to Positano and, the following day, for a tour of the Amalfi Coast. Both experiences were exceptional. Marco arranged for a tour of Pompeii on our way to Positano with a very knowledgeable and engaging guide and then planned out the following day with a unique and very personalized tour of the coast. Marco is extremely knowledgeable of the area, and was very focused on making sure we visited both the major attractions in the area as well as some beautiful sites more off the beaten path. Based on our interests, he arranged a visit to a local winery which was exquisite - tour of the vineyard, wonderful local wine served with a delicious home made lunch, all hosted by the owners of the vineyard. Marco was flexible with our days, making sure we had the time we needed for each stop and gave us great guidance on what to see and do when we explored on our own. He also went out of his way to recommend sites, restaurants, shopping areas, etc. for us to explore during our trip - we followed many of his recommendations and they were all perfect. The limo was extremely comfortable and Marco could not have been more accommodating. He strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness and the time we spent with Marco was one of the highlights of our trip. We saw much more on his Amalfi tour than we ever would have seen on our own. I have no hesitation at all in recommending this company and would absolutely hire him again. We also found his prices to be more reasonable than other companies recommended through our travel agent. Definitely 5 stars!

Our travel agent recommended Dolce Vita Limousine to get around the Amalfi Coast for our honeymoon and we could not have been more thrilled with this recommendation. We hired Marco to ferry our family of four to and from the airport in Naples to the Pasitea Hotel. We were impressed with his driving skills, as the roads meander and can be quite narrow and difficult to negotiate. He was quite knowledgeable about the local culture and answered all of our questions about what we saw along our routes...He was especially patient with our inquisitive 6 year old son! Although we were exhausted after the 15 hours of travel, we were pleasantly surprised, (and truly appreciate) what Marco did for us when we arrived at the airport in Naples. He met us at the baggage claim, gathered all of our luggage, AND when we got into the van,...Marco presented us with some local pastries!

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. Quaint towns and villages built onto and into the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. There is much beauty, much history, and friendly people everywhere. We had a remarkable driver, Marco Coumo who owns Dolce Vita Limo. We found him on Trip Advisor and he scored 5 stars so we knew we had made a good choice. Marco is highly professional, very prompt, and knows the area like the back of his hand (he was born there and lives there still). He picked us up at the airport in Rome, found us a guide to Pompei where he drove us, and then took us to our hotel in the town of Amalfi. He did everything and anything to make our trip worry free and successful. We liked him so much that instead of just hiring him to get us from Rome to Amalfi we hired him for both a whirlwind tour of much of the coast (Rovella, Pocitano, Amalfi, and others) and to get us back to Rome a few days later. Being born in the area, he seems to know everyone and they know and like him. That came in very handy when, after the first night at a substandard AirBnB experience, we contacted him for advice. In no time at all he arranged for us to stay at a nearby hotel, arranged rooms for us, helped us with our luggage, and drove us there. He told us time and again to use him for advice on tours, eateries, etc and we did just that. He is a wonderful driver, is clean and well groomed, very well dressed, respectful, professional, and very helpful. Thank you Marco for really enhancing our experience in this wonderful place. We used Marco (the owner of Dolce Vita Limousine) for travel from/to airport to our villa in Sorrento. We can say nothing than great things about Marco’s service. The Mercedes van was nice and cool (thank you for having a/c!) and came equipped with individual TV’s for the passengers (our 3 teenage children could hook up to Netflix). Marco also had cold waters and prosecco in the car. Marco himself is very professional and is one of those guys who do the little things to stay ahead of the competition. Marco also does customized tours (ask him - he’ll put something together based on what you like to do but will also make recommendations). Marco picked us up from the Naples airport ferry from Ischia to Praiano. He is a total professional and his air conditioned Mercedes was the perfect 90 minute ride on a very hot day. On the way to Praiano, he was very knowledgable of the surrounding towns and Italian history. He gave us great tips on where to visit and which restaurants to eat at during our stay on the Amalfi Coast, steering us away from popular overcrowded suggestions and towards more hidden local gems. We booked dolce vita for two full days while in Italy. One day to the Almafi coast and the other to Pompeii and Naples. We had such a great time, and the ease and comfort of this company was spectacular. Marco, our driver, was fantastic, he was personable and a wonderful tour guide. I stayed in Praiano on a family trip with 10 people, including two young children, and used a handful of taxi services to travel to surrounding areas. Dolce Vita is the BEST car service available in the area! While other taxi services are hit or miss, with some vans that feel as if they are falling apart with no a/c and drivers that don’t know their way around, Dolce Vita was consistent with courteous, knowledgeable drivers and luxury vehicles. I also want to give special thanks to Marco Cuomo, who was our favorite driver of the entire trip. Marco was always on time, very responsive, and gave us excellent tips for the trip. This was in addition to a very personable and friendly demeanor - it was always a pleasure to see him. He’s also the sharpest dresser on the Amalfi coast and I regret not asking him for his tailor’s name!! Do yourselves a favor, use Dolce Vita for your travels on the Amalfi Coast and ask for Marco to make it a stress-free and enjoyable ride.

Our trip to Italy was made perfect by the wonderful service of Marco and his private limousine service. My partner and I were in Naples and didn't pre-book transportation to Positano. It was impossible to find anything available with a fair price. I called my hotel and they recommended I call Marco. By pure luck, he was just down the street from us dropping off some other clients (and available)! He picked us up at a pizza restaurant and I immediately realized this was more than just any other private transport. Not only was he professional, he was personable, informative, polite, funny, and a pleasure to speak with (also very good looking haha). Next time we're on the Amalfi coast, we're going to make sure we pre-book with Marco. He was amazing and we'd recommend him to anyone! We booked Marco to show us around the Amalfi Coast our first day in beautiful Positano. The weather was rainy and Marco called and suggested we try for another day or cancel altogether if that was not possible. He said he did not want to take our money if we were not going to have the full experience. I so appreciated his candor. As the day went on and the weather improved, Marco called to see if we wanted a few hours in the afternoon. We had a lovely afternoon taking in the sites. Marco picked us up at Ristorante Mediterraneo (our home away from home) and stocked his car with Prosecco and limoncello. Marco allows for stops for photo opportunities and some extended stops for exploring. He is a wonderful driver (I think you have to be in Amalfi?), the car was impeccably clean (until my daughter spilled her limoncello) and very comfortable. Grazie, Marco!

We traveled to Positano, had lunch in Amalfi then onto Ravello. A quick stop at San De Riso for some bakery items completed our 8hr day. Suggestions: since we were in Praiano, visit Positano on your own. The other two locations are much farther and frankly since we stopped for lunch in Amalfi, I had no time in Amalfi to shop. The true test of any business that caters to travelers is when things don't go exactly as planned. We recently concluded a few days of vacation at the Amalfi Coast with some good friends. Unfortunately, the weather didn't really cooperate with us as all of our days were quite rainy. Thankfully, Marco provided us great options and thoughtful service for the entire trip. His knowledge of the area, culture, and cuisine of Amalfi is unsurpassed. He made us feel right at home, steered us away from the tourist traps and made our trip memorable is spite of the weather. Not knowing who we would get, we chose Marco to drive us from Rome to Amalfi. That was one of the best decisions of our trip to Italy. Marco grew up on The Coast. He is a wealth of information. This was the first time I have attempted to travel independently with my disabled elderly mother. Discovering Marco was a real blessing. He made our day exploring the Amalfi Coast perfect. Even though our flght arrived 30 minutes early, Marco was there, customized sign in hand, to greet my husband and I at Naples airport. From there, Marco continued to impress as he drove us to the town center of Amalfi. I loved how he pointed out landmarks and their historial significance. We were staying in Rome and had 1 day free that I wanted to use to visit the Amalfi coast. After many reviews and trying to get my own transportation decided to best book a driving service that can make the best use of our time. Best decision, so lucky to have contacted Marco, in a very quick time he responded to my emails and we quickly agreed to meet in Napoli the next day. Family traveling with 7 year old girl, Marco did the best job recommending the best places to visit (he is a local so knows all the tips) let us made our choices and keep our pace. He was fantastic guide! So courteous, the car was very comfortable, he stopped us at the best sight seeing places, and even made an extra stop for us to shop at a local ceramic store. Can't thank you enough - you made this a great experience for me and the family. Completely recommended, if you want personalized service, hope to go back as the region is very beautiful. Finally we made it back on time to take our train back to Rome. Would have not been possible to see all this places on our own, and much better than with a tour.

Kipling's poem "If"...."If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs...." This describes driving on the Amalfi roads. 80% of crashes are tourists not knowing how to handle sharing the road with the indigenous. Marco however, will calmly drive you to your destination in a quiet AC cool Mercedes. If you wish to chat, he will impart his bountiful knowledge of the region. If you just want to admire the view from your spotlessly clean vehicle, he will do nothing but seemlessly and safely get you there. In March I made the decision to take my dream trip to the Amalfi Coast by myself. I booked just my flight and hotel... with the thought that I would figure it out as I went. I was only in the area for a week, and I did not want to spend all of my time in 9 hour group bus tours. I was interested in some history, and also visiting a local vineyard. I found the perfect day trip to join through a travel site while in Amalfi. Unfortunately, it did not allow a reservation for just one person. So I searched the internet for a solution. I reached out to Dolce Vita very early on Sunday morning... by mid afternoon I had a full itinerary of what I could visit the next day. Marco picked me up on time at 7:45 am... and I was able to visit Pompei, have lunch at a family owned vineyard, and see a wood shop (and buy a table) in Sorrento... not to mention a small stop for the best gelato ever. He even took me to a wonderful spot for a photo overlooking Positano. I was able to see all that I wanted on my schedule... customized, in a way that I couldn't have done with a tour. Most importantly, I felt comfortable. As a single 37 year old woman, who does not speak the language, I was somewhat skeptical of getting in a car with someone I didn't know. From the moment I met Marco, I felt safe... and like we knew each other forever. I could rave about Dolce Vita Limousine all day. You need to experience it for yourself.

My daughter and I just returned from our first trip to Italy. I'm not one to write reviews but was so impressed with the service we received from Marco and Dolce Vita Limousine that I have to share. We were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of an all day Amalfi Tour including lunch on the water in Amalfi and the best dessert in Minori!! We also used their services for transfers from Naples to Sorrento and back. In hindsight I wouldn't have booked train tickets from Rome and would have had Marco pick up us at the Airport! Marco was professional, on time, very familiar with not only Amalfi but with all areas of Italy, and most of all a really great guy. We can't wait to go back again and will most definitely use Dolce Vita services again.
