Private Tour: Full Day Amalfi Coast From Sorrento

Great way to see the Amalfi coastline Our driver picked us up at our hotel in Sorrento and we visited & spent time in Positano Amalfi & Ravello. All very beautiful but the town of Ravello my favourite where we spent the most time & had lunch . Great choice of restaurants & food & wine excellent Our van was clean spacious & comfortable Our driver was very considerate to our needs , knowledgeable & very friendly . Word of warning roads are tight & winding but our driver navigated like a professional

The experience was excellent. Our tour guide Katia was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and we have already recommended it to others.

We booked this tour understanding that it would be a very long day, which it was. Dispite the rain we were all prepared and looking forward to a great day. We covered a lot of territory and saw many sites. There were eight adults (4 couples- all Americans) crammed in a mini van (not including the driver). None of us understood Italian. I can’t even tell you our guides name as he didn’t speak much English. Although he was a pleasant man, he spoke in a soft monotone voice, in Italian throwing in a word in English here and there, which made it difficult to hear as well as understand and made the day seem even longer. Not much personality. We were all disappointed.

Unfortunately for us, the sun-soaked Amalfi Coast was very rainy that day. Fortunately, though, the real downpour was in Ravelo, where my husband and I were able to stop for a long and delicious lunch. Our guide was very kind and took pains to point out interesting sights along the way. No matter what the weather, I was very happy to be in a van with a small group of people, particularly after observing all of the big buses, just gorging people into the tiny streets.

What an amazing Tour. Marcaella our driver and unofficial tour guide was amazing! She made the ride so enjoyable! She picked us up at our hotel and maneuvered the streets of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. Our first stop was Positano where she dropped us off and gave us free time to explore. Positano is beautiful. From there we stopped at a small Limoncello factory. From there we went to Amalfi where we had time to explore. Marcaello asked our small group if we wanted to see the coastline by boat. She secured our tickets and we took an hour tour of the coastline. Beautiful! From there she told us she Knew of a great place to eat in Ravello. The meal was very reasonable and absolutely delicious! I would say it was one of my favorite meals. I highly recommend this tour and hope you are lucky enough to have Marcaello as your driver! She's the best!

Enzo was a fantastic guide. He picked us up on time and was very punctual throughout the whole day. He was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He made sure our group were safely taken from one place to another. He suggested we take a boat ride on the Amalfi Coast and arranged everything for by taking us to the ticket office and making sure we knew where we were going. He was there to pick us up again at the end of the boat tour. Enzo made every effort to ensure the day went smoothly and made our day extremely enjoyable. Thank you Enzo.

From the moment we were picked up, we were made to feel like family. Marcella showed us her country where she was born and raised her family. She showed great pride in it. She drove just the 2 of us along the Amalfi Coast and even suggested picture points of interest. She made sure she captured pictures of my husband and I. We are celebrating 45 years of marriage and she made this visit to the coast feel extra special. Marcella even arranged for my Celiac husband and I to have the most spectacular lunch at La Margherita La Villa in Scala, with a romantic view of Ravello. Marcella arranged wine tasting, food tasting and fantastic desserts. If you take this tour ask for Marcella, she makes Italy feel like home.

Great day! Our boat captain Orazio was phenomenal. We got to see all the sights, swim and visit Capri.

A fantastic way to see the Amalfi Coast! We had plenty of time to explore three different towns without feeling rushed. Our driver was great fun and packed with fantastic local knowledge that really made the day. We had a great group of fellow travelers from Canada and Australia. While we opted out of the extra boat trip, we joined everyone for the organized group lunch, which was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire day—highly recommended!

Our tour guide was not very informative about the area. We didn’t learn much on our tour and in fact most of us slept on the way back. There were two separate tours in our 8 person van and had different packages that she tried to convince us to change our plan and go to a lunch that we were not interested in and would not stop her sales pitch in front of the others. She was only a ride and not a tour guide. Would not recommend Marcella to anyone. We made the best out of our day and had a great time but no thanks to our tour guide. due to a fire we didn’t get to go to Positano so our car ride was longer than expected but we made the best of it. She also asked us if we enjoyed our tour guide instead of “did you enjoy your tour” just not a professional tour like we expected.

Guide was great. Fire in Positiano blocked us from reaching there (otherwise gets a 5). However the boat tour the guide suggested was a good alternative to experience the coast of Amalfi.

Excellent experience. Katie was a wonderful guide and driver for the day long trip. She communicated very well about where to meet and when. We had enough time in each city to explore its highlights. She organized a wonderful lunch for the group. Overall a great way to see the Amalfi coast.

Fab trip Just a bit of a long journey home along the winding roads so don’t sit in n the back all the way!!

An absolutely amazing day! We are a family of 4 ( 40ish parents with a 20 and 18 year old) and had a fabulous time. The tour guide was very informative, polite and attentive. He showed us the beautiful coastline and explained the history of the Amalfi coast. Positano, Amalfi and Ravello were all stunning. We had just enough time in each destination. We had lunch in Ravello at a little restaurant overlooking the vineyards- stunning! The other 2 couples we were with were absolutely lovely too. (1 from Canada and 1 from Huddersfield, Uk) I would highly recommend this experience- well worth the money!

Roberto was the absolute best and made the experience so pleasant. He was knowledgeable, understanding, and a gentleman. We loved the three town so much and were able to spend enough time in each. But again, the reason for the success of our tour was due to the professionalism of Roberto. He was EXCELLENT!

A good day out, especially if one does not wish to drive the Amalfi coastal road oneself. Plenty of opportunities to take pictures of the photogenic views and time to visit the towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. We also had a boat trip along the coast from Amalfi, although that costs extra.

Great trip and easy way to see these popular and very beautiful towns. Sorrento was our home base so this worked well for 4 of us. Catia was fantastic and very knowledgeable driver and took us to great sites for photos and a delicious lunch. Our favorite stop was Ravello. Wonderful day! Thank you!

Our driver, Roberto and our guide, Roberto were both amazing! We started off with a pic of the 3 Roberto’s (my sig other small a Roberto) and myself - all smiling faces and felt immediately like friends. The driving with pic up and drop off was exceptional and stress free. Guide Roberto was knowledgeable, friendly and gave us what we wanted as far as information, places to go and filled the day with positive energy and the most amazing day!!

Communication and on time pick up were excellent, as was choice of pick up points. So this trip is basically a driver taking you to 3 different destinations. Unless he gets lost or crashes, pretty easy job, even taking in to account the doors on scooters! So a Lille hard to judge. Positives - great guy, and offered additional boat trip for €20 around cost from Amalfi if whole minivan agreed. We all did and well worth it. Negative - could have stopped for photo’s on way along road to Positano as I know many other trips do. Also we didn’t book lunch option, but others did, meaning we had 2 hours in Ravello, which for me is too much, whilst others had lunch. I would have preferred the time to be evenly already across the 3 locations.

We had an amazing tour. We booked the full day with a driver but bo guide. Honestly the driver was very informative and just as effective as a guide. She was very good at making recommendations on how to make the most of our time and focused making sure we got back to our cruise on time. The company was easy to work with even with our cruise arriving late. No issues. Highly recommend booking this as an excursion. It was such a nice day in Amalfi, Positano, and Sorrento.

We booked a last minute full day Amalfi coast tour from Sorrento. The company confirmed within hours and was super easy to work with based on when our cruise ship was arriving. Our driver was effectively a guide, even though we only booked driver service. She had great tips at each of the stops and tooks us to a great local spot with breathtaking views, great pizza and didn’t break the bank. She was very kind and focused on making sure we made it back to the cruise ship on time but still maximizing the day. So glad we did this tour!

This was a fantastic way to get to and explore the Amalfi Coast. Our driver, Ciro, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and a lot of fun. He knew the best places to stop for photos and to explore the three featured towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. We even had time for a boat tour of Amalfi as part of our day. I can't think of an easier and better way to visit. A+

I had an excellent day with Tony as our tour guide. He arranged for us to go on a boat tour from Amalfi so we could see the town from the ocean. Unbelievable roads that I would not want to drive on myself, but felt safe in Tony’s hands. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

It was a wonderful trip. The guide was polite and very informative. We were very happy with the experience. Just wished we spent a little more time in Ravello.

Francisco was wonderful! He drove through the narrow roads with safety in mind. He gave us pointers on what to see, do and eat at the beautiful towns we visited in the Amalfi Coast.

The scenery was amazing. The people we shared the van with were very nice and from different places. It was enjoyable getting to know them. Unfortunately, our guide lacked in sharing information. My husband would try to ask questions but he didn’t respond with any information. Also would speak without microphone on and it was difficult to hear in back of the van. On a tour like this the guide either makes or breaks your experience. Massimo was very nice, but didn’t come across as very knowledgeable of this beautiful country side.

Marcella was an amazing driver. She knew all the best spots for photos and was very helpful taking pictures. We stopped for a wonderful lunch by Positano with amazing views. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to spend the day exploring the Amalfi coast. The trip was about 7 hours in total.

This was the perfect way to see the Amalfi Coast. Rico was a great driver and tour guide. He gave us options of where to stop and arranged a boat ride along the coast, which was absolutely spectacular. We had the right amount of time to see things we wanted to see at each of our stops and we still returned to Sorrento at a reasonable time.

This tour was amazing and well worth the price. There were four of us in the mini van and it felt like a very personal experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and planned some stops based on the group’s interests. The boat tour is extra and optional but well worth it for the stunning views from the water. The stops were the perfect amount of time and the hotel pick-up was great since I was a little outside of town.

Our Amalfi Tour was wonderful. Our driver Rico was very friendly and knowledgeabl. Rico went above and beyond to make our tour memorable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone that is visiting the Amalfi Coast. If you can, ask for Rico to be your driver; he is the best!

Rico, our driver, did an excellent job! He spoke the entire ride to the Amalfi Coast about local history and culture. We did not find the drive along the winding, cliff-side road at all scary, but beautiful. Rico, as a regular tour guide, had excellent reserved parking spots in all three towns we visited. One thing I can recommend to anyone who loves history is to look closely at the architectural flourishes on buildings: sometimes we saw Roman marbles incorporated into later structures, both in churches and in civil structures. Don’t miss the churches within short walking distance or the villa in Revello, which contains both medieval and Roman artifacts. Highly recommended!
